  • I recall these ads when watching Pro Bowlers Tour and Wide World of Sports when I was little. Loved the "whoosh" at the end.

  • Fantastic battery -- bought one at Sears Auto in Chicago -- they installed -- easy and great service -- good memories of the Sears I grew up with --

  • this commercial doesn't seem very dated considering it's from the seventies - looks better than most eighties commercials

  • If I find it somewhere, I will let you know, but so far it looks to be lost forever. :-(

  • Anybody remember an old Diehard commercial where the parents car won't start so they go back inside the house and ask their son if they could borrow his car. The son owns a Cuda and the scene cuts to the parents driving away and the car is bucking b/c its too powerful and the father can't drive a stick. I vaguely remember it and would be great to see it again.

  • That is the exact commercial that I was searching for too!

The car was the same Cuda used in the old Robert Blake movie "Corky" about a washed up stock car driver who tries to make it into NASCAR. From the early 70's.

  • I guess it wasn't a dream or me hallucinating. It would be great if someone posted it. I'd love to see it again.

  • I remember..the kid tells him "don't forget to put some gas in it" BTW I think it was a Cutlass...?

  • I thought it was a Cuda but I wasn't more then 7 or 8 at the time so I could be mistaken about the car.

  • I was looking for this commercial too, but I remember the car being a Superbird/Daytona - the giant winged car.

  • @hornygrk I do remember it. My uncle was the director of it, for Leo Burnett. I've been looking for it for a long time. Found his International Falls one earlier.

  • @tgrueskin I'm glad I'm not the only one who remembers it. I believe it aired in the mid 70's but I'm not sure. I hope its floating around somewhere and makes its way to youtube!

  • Great commercial!

  • I am quite amazed at the following Sears DieHard Battery Commerical. The following advertisment would be rated a 6 in my book. I vividly remember the Sears Tire And Auto Center Commercials from 1973 until 1980 on television. My all-time favorite ... especially when professional football and baseball games were on television in the 1970's.

  • I love it!!

  • Negative is SO good looking
