  • Listening to this song.... it's easy to believe the lead singer sticks his tongue and mouth around other men's hairy butts.... this is horrid poser music

  • @cliffiez then you should love it then faggot!!

  • @cliffiez

    Troll harder, son.

  • @cliffiez It's easy to believe from your jackass comment that that is precisely what YOU do, Cliffiezzafaggot.

  • Judas priest >>> Slayer

  • @joedalton155

    ofc

  • HEAVY METAL' S BIRTH

  • @Lorenx1992 Yush!

  • Great album

  • Highest pitch scream I have EVER heard!! And I've heard them all, I think the only vocalists that can come close to Rob's range is King Diamond or Midnight (R.I.P.).

  • the larsen at the beginning is amazing

    the main riff is amazing

    rob screams are amazing

    double bass is amazing

    ...

    and we are in 1977.

Judas priest is not only amazing nor gods. they are metal.

  • I'm stabbing and bawling, I'm punching and crawling

  • One of my all time favorite metal songs! Absolutely kicks all kinds of ass even by today's standards! Killer vocals and some of the best rock drumming I have ever heard! I'm sure there are at least some Fleetwood Mac and Bee Gees fans who are currently institutionalized in a catatonic, vegetative state because their brains melted down like Reactor 2 at Three Mile Island when they heard this back in 1977!

  • First Priest song I ever heard at the age of 10...I think I drooled a little.

  • Why does youtube have to have retarded ads with s****y music before awesome stuff like this? smh

  • Why isn't there an "absolutely love" button for this?

  • That scream is absolutely INSANE!

    Halford is unbeatable.

  • I can't think of a heavier song that came out before 1977. Like Slayer's "Hell Awaits", this set the standard for heaviness.

  • Comment removed

  • Black Sabbath and Judas Priest, is the foundation of heavy metal.

  • Man, araya doesn't even come close to halfords vocals. Hate to admit. Lol but slayer still does a good job.

  • @LaDr0n3

Very few out there, if they even exist, could come close to Halford in the vocal department.

  • I can understand those, who think that this track was created originally by Slayer, because the riff is very brutal and thick for 1977, but no, guys ! This was made by the Priest of Judas, indeed ! Slayer covered it in 1988, and both versions are fat, even if I listen rather to the original, Priest's.

  • Slayer version is a lot better.

  • @fabiosiqueira555 No it;s not.

  • @fabiosiqueira555 no fucking way :D

  • Judas Preist: Saved mind mind from certain mainstream pop music death and hell! \m/

  • Fucking Madonna is in the r&r hall of fame and this isn't?! Lost faith in humanity

  • These guys ripped off Slayer.

  • @antdigger what the fuck? slayer covered this song

  • @mynamesjack5

    He's trolling.

  • @antdigger No dumbass, Slayer covered. Priest made the original. Priest version is from 1977 and Slayers version from 1988. moron

  • This song is Heavy Metal. Pounding riff, double kick drums, Rob's voice. This song is insane for the time period. Priest broke the boundries. While Sabbath may have created Heavy Metal, Judas Priest took it to a whole new level that has not been beaten yet.

  • @jfkdjfd this was the most heavy song at that time.

  • @irondeth2 It still is one of the heaviest songs. Didn't i have an arguemenyt with you on a Metallica video?

  • @jfkdjfd what!? it's you AGAIN!

  • @irondeth2 Yup. Judas Priest kicks ass.

  • @jfkdjfd fucking agree.

  • People mustve creamed their pants when they heard Dissident Aggressor in 1977 the way they did when they heard Black Sabbath in 1970.

  • the only thing more epic than this song is that artwork

  • More than great song

  • Wish they played this one in their Epitaph tour, song's fkin sick...

  • @420Rokn yes they are playing it, they added on the setlist.

  • @420Rokn

They played this when I saw them live in Calgary, kicked ass live!

  • @EnigmaticOranmentV6 F*kin sweet dude.... I dont remember them playing it in Calgary... Prolly cuz i was so drunk n stoned \m/-_-\m/

  • @420Rokn

Niiiice, you're from Calgary too? Small world. But yeah bro, great concert!

  • 22 people prefer Turbo Lover!!!

  • @bassmanjoe o thats harsh lol

  • Imagine hearing this for the first time in 1977, so ahead of it's time. Amazing!!!!

  • Great, now I gotta go look for Nathervap's comment.

  • One of the best Priest LP's

  • I never tried shiraz with JP.

    .

  • can Rob do that scream live ? yes he can ! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAa

  • @Ironjagg No its more like: Yes, he cAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAn :P

  • @Ironjagg

Not anymore he can't. He was able to in the 70's and 80's then his vocal cords took a shit kicking.

  • Simon Phillips! pure drumming .. fantastic!

  • I'm not 40 years old, I'm thirty years old so I appreciate Slayer turning me on to some shit my friends may not have been playing.. Both great. Who gives a shit about other opinions.

  • @awilsonator slayer did an alright job.. the original is awesome.. its a tribute, it can't be as good as the original but that doesnt diminish the homage.

  • Now don't get me wrong, the original kicks ass, but I just like Slayer's cover better. I think it's a personal preference but this song just sounds too... "happy". Slayer adds a dark twist to it, which I like. I'm not saying I'm not gonna give Priest the respect they deserve though! :)

  • @AdmiralGFM This is the first time ive heard the original, ive loved slayers cover for so long but halfords singing makes this song, i like the original better myself

  • which is original -- Slayer's or this?

  • @pakantotmiss this was released in 1977, slayer's in 1988.

  • @tunczyk110 thank you sir!

  • @pakantotmiss this one

  • Pure Metal!!!!!

  • Artist: Judas Priest

Playing at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion, The Woodlands on Oct 15, 2011

Buy "Dissident Aggressor" on: AmazonMP3, iTunes oct 15, can't wait

  • The scream that makes ones brains leak out of unusual places...

  • his scream just fuckin killed me

  • This song... It speaks to me... It says "Buy this CD or die!" or at least, that's what I did O.o

  • @greenough16 You died?

  • I'd rather listen to Slayer's cover off of South of Heaven...

  • @FourthHorseman4 Understand the roots. I love the Slayer copy too, but respects are due and Slayer would agree. Have a good one.

  • ha this was my favorite track on south of heaven, and of course it was a judas cover. rock on!

  • @buddhastalin Slayer does a great job of this song. Despite Tony's singing inabilty, the rest of the cover is kick ass!

  • @gnyhwy you can't match these vocals, epic. slayer's cover is fuckin fantastic too

  • @buddhastalin Agreed and settled. Have a good one Sir.

  • stfu. don't speak about Metallica or Slayer under a Priest song. This is blasphemy.

  • @MySelfLoverUh LOL. Nice. You Sir are correct. They are differnet classes.

  • The begiining of Thrash. F Yah!

  • @gnyhwy No bro, the beginning of Metal.

  • @MerkabaX1 Nah. Black Sabbath would be that.

  • @MerkabaX1 Don't get me wrong. I know Priest is straight up metal, no doubt. Just this song and the drums especially sound a lot like several thrash 80s bands that followed. Have a good one.

  • It's just that the moon is full

  • birmingham, england. official birthplace of metal

  • @TheBen0101 If you want to get technical it was born in San Diego California by a little band named Iron Butterfly

  • @goladen are you fucking kidding me? Iron freaking Butterfly? that acid rock crap is NOT heavy metal. Black Sabbath invented the sound and Judas Priest invented the image. Both of those bands were formed in Birmingham.

  • @gojira931 R You fuckin kidding me? Do you know music? Can you google? Is this your deffintion of what band started heavy metal? Perhaps others have already defined who made the first "heavy metal " song long ago.. I dont make the rules niether did you>>>You fuckin asshat... suck a big dick...fuckin cum guzzler!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @goladen ask ANYBODY who knows what they're talking about and they'll tell you that Sabbath was the first heavy metal band. Iron Butterfly, Blue Cheer, Cream, etc. were hard rock bands, but Black Sabbath went way darker and heavier than their predecessors and became truly heavy metal. you could make the same argument you made about the kinks, chuck berry, or even robert johnson. just because Iron Butterfly was earlier does not mean they were metal.

  • @TheBen0101 hell yeah

  • damn this is heavy

  • Wooooo!!!!!!!!!!

  • oohhgghhhhhh why are so many people comparing everything to anything, this is Judas Priest in 1977, doing their unique (at the time) great heavy rock and inspiring so many greats yet to come, if you can't appreciate it, i think you really lack the wits to truly belong to the metal community

  • @blaisercat7 Sorry about that comment, that was before I had really heard any Lamb of God. I now really like them. But Judas Priest is still better than Grindcore and Deathcore that I've heard. But of course, this is just my opinion :|

  • 20 morons

  • Rob halford is the most awesome gay dude that ever lived , i imagine he is like belittling of his prey and ravages them like an eagle to a squirrel then like taking a bite of their still beating hearts before the next ass rape , then writing tunes in blood on the wall. fuckin ass blood dude deadflesh rotting gay metal god rapefest ass blood. Long live Halford ,UNDEAD KING OF GOMORRAH!!!!

  • ........that is all.......

  • BTW, is that Downing laying his soul through strings in front of us here?

  • @kickniko Downing goes for the soul on this but Simon Phillips on the skins is just as mesmerizing

  • @rb7magnetico Very few give Simon his due on this album. His jazz take on metal made this album what it is. Time changes, drag beats and alternating beat structure in the same time and tempo, giving the illusion of change. Probably over-thought, but by far one of the best metal percussion performances ever.

  • @Proteus311 definetly concur with you

  • Hmmm, read many guys here speaking about Metallica in the context of Priest. Well... are you serious? This is no "hardened sound through sophisticated amps", and this is no "hollywood play yard". Not a single things against Metallica, but this is like comparing steel insects with irocn cast.

  • can we just talk about how amazing this song and this band is, instead of starting a pointless competition between other bands? is this possible?

  • 0:34 Even those auto-tune ass-hats couldn't hit that note.

  • after hearing this im putting on my priest tshirt, getting in my car, gonna drive to the nearest bar, and start a fight with a guy who doesent like metal. if im not back in a half hr dont call an ambulence, ill probably be in jail

  • @SummernlightningUSA that's the spirit :D

  • @SummernlightningUSA internet tough guy. so cool!

  • @SummernlightningUSA lol, best metal comment I've read hahah

  • Great song, Great band!

  • /watch?v=LDS0Nr2pqJU

    d(:

  • hell yesssssss

  • his scream is awsome!

  • Both versions kick arse

  • No

  • one of the best vocalists besides freddie murcury

  • I love to hear King Diamond do a cover of this song. That would be fuckin amazing.

  • @Nathervap You sir are an idiot - REIGN IN BLOOD is NOTHING like Metallica. Seek help.

  • @BobSmashdotcom Thank you for Educating people, they shure will not commit those outrageos mistake again (seriously who can find a similarity on both albums, Christ)

  • @BobSmashdotcom Reign in Blood is greater than anything Metallica has done. And heavier except maybe old old Metallica but Slayer I still think thrashes them down.

  • @BobSmashdotcom exactly, it's a million times better

  • @BobSmashdotcom but reign in blood is much thrashier and crispy type than kill em all

  • I don't know... I like the Slayer cover better. I still like this one tho.

  • @thedescent666 Did you hear the Slayer version first?

  • Slayer of their time? No, my friend. Their fan base stretched much further and still does.

  • i member when i found out halford was gay i was like woahh, and then just kept on head banging

  • @Thed00rs35 In other news, the Sky is blue.

  • @Thed00rs35 You were surprised? I think someone hasn't seen the video of Heading out to the Highway...

  • i like the slayer cover better but nothing beats the original. i dont know if that makes sense lol. i like slayers better but judas priests is better.

  • @mizuhokazami1 Uhh, that doesn't make sense to me, but, well, I might just be very stupid! :)

  • @mizuhokazami1 This version is alot darker, which i love. Far better players and vocals of course. Just look at that album cover and listen to the music.

  • Comment removed

  • @videostar1another1fa except priest doesn't have solos or a shitty guitar player ( Kerry )

  • I think thefateshavewarned may be a bit wrong in just one thing.... I do feel Metallica gave up the right to be trash metal kings, left the throne if you will, to go do more radio friendly things... no I'd give it to Slayer Exodus, Anthrax, bands that may have changed over the years but still maintain as metal!

  • Yeah I'd have to say AC/DC is not metal, I see to mant IROC's ( Idiot Redneck Out Cruising) going down I 64 with Back In Black on full blast. Not knocking the band, but if the hill billys in my town love it, damn sure it's not metal!!

  • Salyer did a good version of it never knew Priest did this this version is bad ass 2

  • Why is there an advertisement for the Smurfs on a Priest vid and why is AC/DC on the list of suggestions? I doubt that alot of Priest fans are interested in the Smurfs and I can believe that there are quite a few Priest fans that aren't exactly interested in AC/DC either. Not to say that there aren't quite a few Priest fans that like AC/DC, but I don't. AC/DC is not in the same genre as Priest, and they are not nearly as good as they are. AC/DC are a bunch of radio whores and are not metal.

  • @thefateshavewarned so what if they aren`t metal? they`re not TRYING to be metal, you know

  • @Pendrakulya Understood, but I'm not saying that it's AC/DC themselves that label themselves as metal, its the critics. Then again, critics often don't know shit when it comes to labeling a band under a certain genre, or knowing what music is good or bad in the first place. Ex. Rolling Stone Magazine, Allmusic Guide, the Grammy's, etc. By labeling AC/DC as a recommendation for Priest, it's almost like your labeling them under the same genre. If Maiden were recommended, I wouldn't have a problem.

  • @thefateshavewarned Critics should follow this template:

Chuck Berry = Rock 'n' Roll

    AC/DC = Hard Rock

    Judas Priest = Heavy Metal

    Metallica = Thrash Metal

    Metalcore = shit.

  • @ChristianU2ubeh haha nice

  • @ChristianU2ubeh metallica shit too megadeth or slayer or exodus = thrash

  • @thefateshavewarned Well, it's not really the critics we listen to for what genre a band is in. It's the reviews of the albums themselves that the critics look at.

  • the riff sounds very similar to the danzig song am i demon.. not saying anyone copied anyone just saying...

  • @gibraeel12 This was recorded in 1977, longtime before Danzig (unless you're saying of course Danzig copied it.....ahem....)

  • SLAYER 1987 SOUTH OF HEAVEN

  • Youtube sucks. I don't want to see ads for those gay-ass Smurfs on Judas Priest videos.

Also, why doesn't Spell Check see anything wrong with the word "Smurf?"

  • *Eargasm*.

  • Slayer's cover of this song was fucking awesome! but Judas Priest just fucking decimates Slayer on this track hands down.

  • I remember reading an interview with Rob and Ken many years ago, they said it was about a particular dictator, can't remember who now. Damn that alcohol destroying my brain cells.

  • @teamdebt Yeah this dictator was ....shit alcohol fucked up my brain cells too :)

  • Seriously, this is just a principle example of cause and effect...note, next time someone says something that is clearly intended to provoke, DON'T respond in kind. Why? Because it just carries on and on, it's childish, and it's pointless. The only thing worth saying to coolarrow737 is this: Obvious troll is Obvious. He wanted to get a rise out of all you guys, and he succeeded. Pretty sad, really.

  • Priest at their best just a killer tune.

  • @coolarrow737 youre a dumbass, they don't call him the metal god for no reason, and tom couldn't even hit the high note so shut up

  • Comment removed

  • @coolarrow737 Are you a troll or were you dropped down a 30 storey flight of stairs when you were a child?

  • My brother doesn't like this song.

    He's no longer family.

  • When this Album, Sin After Sin, came out in 1977, people crapped in their pants

  • Slayer's cover is a cute attempt, but seriously, they're no Priest! It's cool that Slayer worships Priest enough to do a cover, though.

  • This sounds heaps better live...

  • DUDE!

  • JUDAS PRIEST RE MOUNIA! ANTE H TRITH PLHSIAZEI!

  • @RiseoftheHammer 1 μέρα έμεινε!

  • @efoula19 trelainomai!

  • Judas Priest are the GodFathers of Metal........period

  • Priest is groundbreaking rock n roll pure and simple'

  • @denehuske1

    YOU GOT THAT SO RIGHT!!!

  • @denehuske1

    YOUR SO RIGHT!!!

  • No matter how loud this song is, it's never loud enough....

  • @fshgjguhergbertyuihg I know exactly what you mean. Even a wall of Marshall amps couldn't do it justice.

  • Just try to imagine this in 1977... I was not alive but when I listen to other bands from that time no one seems so furious like this.

  • @SuperWorldQueen i was 8
