I have a serius problems with my ps3 system.I was playing soul calibur4 and i left it with the game inside to go and make something to eat and when iwas returned to play the game the game was not loading and it was stuck.i put out the disk and the ps3 was not loated properly and i turned off the console from the mane swich now the system canot load game disks what sould i do! PLEASE HELP.

I thought it was the cable too...that's why I tried three different cables by different brands. And why I showed the XBOX 360 plugged in with the same HDMI cable, which worked fine. The cable was good...the PS3 was junk. But I'm glad that didn't work out, since the PS3 slim is coming out!
@Cerebus519 ps3 hdmi output is differant than the xbox 360 one. ps3 output is 1.3a and the xbox is 1.2, i know the vid is old but still it's good to know.
glad you got you money back. I had to pay 150 three times to fix mine. It broke again a few days ago for the 4th time but this time it's in warrenty. I ended up punching the shit out of it after it broke last.
wow that sucks, I still have the old flat ass tv connected to my ps3. Suprised because when my ps3 broke because of reading failures I called sony and they sent me a brand new 40 gig. Had my ps3 for about a month before it broke, the only thing that sucked is that I used my 1 year so soon but it has been about 14 months since I got it back and no problems what so ever.
god video game systems suck now-a-days why even bother paying like $250-300 for something thats going to be broken right out of the box its retarded

i had the same problem. What worked for me was to disconnect the HDMI cable from the current TV input that it was in and plug it into another input.

Display Settings > Output > HDMI. It doesn't check, you have to set it on those old ones. That's what I had to do. I need to get a Slim soon.

it was your HDMI cable, had the same problem. Try to fiddle with your cable, there is a sequence in how to insert the HDMI cable.
