The issue isnt, per se, that people heard it on Guitar Hero. See, art is linked with the values of those who created it. These "older" songs have an important, deep meaning to many people because we listened to them while growing up. That being said, when people comment that they know songs because of a video game, it feels like our youth, generational culture and values were cheapened into some sort of gimmicky plaything. Like a can of Coke that is tossed out after you are done with it.
