@seekurlimit no but look at it this way. the bow (currently 92m) costs 2m to repair once degraded, like chaotic. only differences is with chaotic to overshoot the range str of a zaryte you need dragon bolts. so you gotta account for the chaotic crossbows repair price + the price of dragon bolts (or rune or ruby ect) making the zaryte bow slightly more cost efficient.

@Sau0040 I've hit 3000 on the ice demons in ROTM quest. If you exclude rubies however, my max is about 680 with dragon bolts, or if I use normal rune, then about 560 (Same as zaryte). With Diamond, about 520s and broad struggles to go over 500.

If you had a Completionist cape, there would be no reason to train range as you already have 99 unless you want to get exp on training it only.

Misleading. Diamond bolts have lower range str than zaryte does. Get dragon bolts for more accurate results

@morsferres Expense. A shot from zaryte bow is about 140gp with an average smithing level, diamond bolts (worse then Zaryte) is over 1k a shot. D bolts are then 4 times that.

I also used Diamond bolts over normal rune bolts due to the special of the bolts

@morsferres You would need to loose only one bolt per 8 shots to make it the same cost as the Zaryte bow. I usually only use one bolt per 4 shots, making it twice as expensive as zaryte.

@fizz281 Alright so the cost per shot may be cheaper using the Zaryte bow, but try cost compared to damage. Dragon bolts do have a special that hits significantly higher than Zaryte can manage.

Also, CCB allows for a shield to be used. I know that a shield is unnecessary when using a unicorn, but it is better to slay abyssals with a yak since ashes update. With 99 def, spectral and rigour, EE2 is barely enough healing. Using a 2h bow and a yak would require wasting space for food.

Chaotic Crossbows are by far the superior choice for everything else. Pretty much fact.

Chaotic Crossbow is better in my opinion

one handed weopon not two, therefore you can weild an unholy book/shield
