Loool it's not that serious people. It only cut off my circulation because the thread I was demonstrating with was so thick for visual purposes only. When doing this (as I explained in the video) you would use a much thinner thread. The finger turning purple is bc of how thick the thread was!!!

Better to use threading cotton ( eBay). A piece from your hand to elbow. Break it then knit it twist the same way she shows then practice twisting backwards and forwards. Then practice on your legs or good friends arms. One day I'll get around to making a video.

you did a good job teaching, but I dont agree with the wrapping around your pointing finger and thumb because how it turns your fingers blue. If you have back to back clients I think that wouldn't feel good. Keep up on your tutorials ;)

I wanted to read the comments to estimate the level of pain, to see if it'll be bearable for me if I'll go to get it done in the salon. I can hardly tolerate any pain to be honest. But I did not expect that I'll be able to learn to do it myself just like that by watching this video! I did not wrap the ends around my fingers though, I tied the knot makind one big loop just like ILOVEMUSSSICCC suggested and voila, I can do it! Very impressive! Thank you for posting it!

Don't be alarmed if your finger turns blue or anything, your just cutting off your circulation. If you have ruptured vessels its all good, just hold that string tight!
