it depends on your learning curven if your quick to catch on to things then if you really wanted to... 600 is fine but i'd invest in sliders either way
@Sexytime0mad - don't talk shite. I can do a 700 km journey on the 250 any time. Would you do that on a 125cc 2-stroke? 250 is a pretty damn good daily run around which is more than I can say about some bigger bikes.
You must think by saying i want that i ment the bike? I want the asian girls..You havent checked my profile of my bike..Im not what you call into mopeds like this 250.I was talkin bout the girls :o)
im planning to buy a kawasaki ninja 250r soon but i don't really know which year i should get the 08 or 09...i just want the bike buy january! and i want it new so im open to suggestion...just msg me plz!!!! oh and i live in CALI!!!!
if you have never ridden a motorcycle in your life. get the 250. better fuel economy and easy to handle. it will help you transition to a more powerful bike. I have an 09 250r and i'm an experienced rider and still have fun. i've seen plenty of folks start out with 600's and total them because they have no experience. save yourself the trouble and start with a safe bike. it's fast enough unless you like to go 130 all the time like these goons who live in the city.
i REALLY NEED ADVICE PEOPLE...ok im planning on buying this bike in the spring of 09...but! i am 5' 10" and 180 ibs. perfect size for a beginner bike...my bro on the other hand is 5'10" 250 ibs. do u think this bike would be ideal for the both of us? were both beginners only taken the motorcycle class offered where i live that teaches u the basics but other than that new to this. FEEDBACK would be awesome! appreiate it!!
anywyas, i dont think weight should matter TOO much. and you guys arent too tall which is also good. unless you guys are planning on riding it at same time (rider+passenger) then idk.
its a really good beginner bike, so yeah, i dont think you guys would have much problem.
thanks man. i think i should be fine although the doctor says i should lose some weight... i say buy a ninja 250. ill be getting 1 next week. hope i dont have any heart problems while on bike will see what happens.
ah lucky you... here where i live, you need to get on a waiting list.. lmfao. theres over 150+ people on it right now. and that list is for 09 models coming nxt spring... not kool. XD
dont be intimidated by the size.. even though its a 250 this sucker has some power.. my dad is 230 and 6'3'' and hes had to ride my bike before bc he didnt have a ride to work and he said the power suprised the shit out of him..
I'm actually considering getting one of the new ones! I have a 2003 250 and it's the funnest motorcycle I've ever owned. I've got 43,000 miles on it and still love riding it everyday as my primary transportation. I used to own a Honda Interceptor 500, Yamaha XT600, Honda CM450, but the 250 Ninja blows them away in the fun department. Usually between 50-60 mpg. Not much that a 600 can do ON THE STREET that a 250 can't do as well.
