i was wondering what size are your rear wheels, and whats the offset? Also wondering is your rear end stock length? do you have a mini tub? and what brand tires and what size tires are they? i would like to go with the same setup.
Hey thanks... I have never had the chance to stick it on a dyno... I did run it out at a 1/4 track that use to be open out here.. It was a windy day, and they had a lot of sand on the track. They were only letting us run half way, making it a 1/8 mile. The tire (only one) spun for most of the track! Need more traction!
hey chevybro03 don´t let that motherfuckers tell ya how to deal with your engine. you have an awesome ride built in your own taste keep it like that!! and for sabrom19: get mature¡¡ start building your own project instead of throw shit over other's.
get a bigger cam , but youre 383 is the perfect motor to supercharge as long as you mate it with a 500 trans and dana rear end for superpro street racing
are you kidding me? why do you have to put down my stuff? I paid a lot of money for that engine, and I worked very hard to install it, and tune it. What a fag.
@sabrom19 A real motor? "Sounds like stock" Your so dumb if I took a worn out old 350 from a 78' chevy and ran it next to a brand new LS1, you would think the 78' engine is built because it lopes more.
Are you confessing to the world that you're gay? If you are gay, that's your choice. Nobody here cares about you being a pickle puffer, so get a job, get aa life and take a hike.
Its not too big. Its a comp cams .525 solid flat tappet. It has the bigger 1.6 roller rockers so i think that increases the effective lift of the cam. The engine was idling very high during this video, so you cannot hear the 'big cam' sound at a low idle.
try a roller , its an amazing difference, comp cams recommendations are closer than anybodys i've saw. I bought a roller with 252/260 @050 108's , on a 10.5 motor, wouldn't pull past 6400, was suppose to go higher
Duration and lobe separation angle have a much larger effect on engine performance than lift does. Lift does have an effect, obviously, but the duration and lobe separation angle are the more important numbers to know. The idle quality also has nothing to do with the amount of lift, it is caused by the large valve overlap that comes with long duration camshafts. You will have the same idle characteristics with .4" and .55", because at idle the valves are not significantly constricting the flow.
@mm2whiteboy Very good and true description. Tight LSA and large duration like 106* with 310DUR give you the lumpty lump sound so many kids like. but no vacuum. shorter power band
Sounds and looks awesome, dont pay any attention to the haters because they're just jealous and have a v6. lol

Did you use a lightweight crank, flywheel, etc? I heard that's what will give you the most throttle response, lightweight internals

a T400, even a t350, has very built can do with a 12 bolt or a ford 9. But a 9 inch is easier and very strong!
408Sleeper 3 years ago
t400 and t350 are transmissions. 12bolt and a ford 9 inch are rear ends, wither way i cant understand what you are trying to say
DirtridinElCamino 3 years ago
12 bolts are good for close to 1,000 horsepower, and have less of a drivetrain loss.
kcole939 2 years ago
I agree... both rear ends are great but I would rather go with a 9'. its a lot easier to work on and its cheaper for parts too.

sounds like its stock, get a real motor!!!
