Most Efficient? You gotta be kidding. A CRT uses 180 watts of electricity, where an LCD uses around 30 watts.

I have a Viewsonic PS17 from back in the days of 1997. I have yet to see any LCD monitor beat a CRT for gaming purposes. I would love to ditch my tried and true CRT for a brand new LCD, but have so far not found a comparable LCD monitor for gaming.

I have done several test with my old CRT up against a couple of "Gaming" LCDs. I'm not spending any money just yet.
