To fear God is the beginning of wisdom. So many buy into the illusion of this world-that they do not see that Christ overpowered this world- by His Spirit. People should recognize the King and humble themselves before Him, for all he did and will do on this Earth was for us anyway. There is no fear greater than the Almighty- and it is not funny that people scoff while their days are numbered
It's not funny that religion is suppressed in our schools and workplaces. It's called separation of church and state. It's part of the first amendment. Also, a woman eating an apple isn't vulgar. She's just hungry.
I noticed you on someone else's page (rationalresponder) where you were calling someone (TheoriginalHamster) a "moron" and "pathetic." Way to show the love of Christ to someone who doesn't know Him! Such a great example of Jesus' compassion and kindness to the outside world that's looking to us to see the tangible love of God. Thank you for your contribution!
If only this could be a commercial on TV, radio, bill board or magazine broadcasting. The public is only force fed over abundance of leud garbage, demonic activity made cute, vulgar language, crime made into entertainment, reality nonsense for money, sexual activity made tolerable or acceptable.
I wonder how many Christians would be willing to shut off their cable service, throw out their TV or do other drastic steps? What would happen to the Neilson ratings & Hollwood's income?
"leud garbage, demonic activity made cute, vulgar language, crime made into entertainment, reality nonsense for money, sexual activity made tolerable or acceptable."
You could find examples of all these wicked activities written in the Bible - EXCEPT - none of the activities were being viewed by professing followers of Jesus on TV, billboards, magazines, books or heard on radio for ENTERTAINMENT.
Wicked activities were occuring in Biblical times. If you read futher in OT & NT, you will see God had to judge the wicked world as in the great flood of Noah. There will be a final judgement again for those who reject Jesus as the Savior for sins.
I suspect you are reading books of the Old Testament like Deuteronomy and Leviticus. The Law had it's place in history & aspecific purpose for the Jewish nation.
God is holy and just. He must judge accordingly for sins & refusal to repent of wickedness. Like in the flood in Noah's time, the plagues in Moses' time, etc. Now, post Jesus death & resurrection - A final judgement is coming for those rejecting the gift of salvation from sin that only Jesus can offer.
I enjoy a sensible & responsible theological discussion, but, our conversation is not keeping to my main point. God is just, holy, righteous and true to Himself. He cannot tolerate sin. Even with rules & laws, God knew man was incapable of saving himself from sin & hell. AT THIS time, it is only through grace by faith in Jesus His dear Son that our sins are redeemed, forgiven & we are reconciled to the Father. Believe on His shed blood for forgiveness of your sins & eternal life.
I would think discussing the accuracy and relevancy of the Bible would heavily pertain to your main point. If the Bible is removed from the equation, your point rings rather hollow.
I am moving out of my apt this week & have run out of time for other activities. I would challenge you to study the book of John, Acts, Romans &Hebrews. Pray & seek understanding of how God is speaking of the lost & those who came to believe in Jesus as Lord & Messiah. God reminds us of the Old Testament but teaches & guides the world in all spiritual & eternal matters present & future through His Holy Spirit. Jesus is returning. Are you ready for Him? Are your sins forgiven?
Sadly it seems God always takes the back seat to all of our carnal endeavors. We need to put Him first and not just consult Him when we feel we want something from Him. Good message. God bless.
amen brother, the Lord bless you, love in Christ bro Ron LUKE CHAPTER 23: 34 Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.

Funny how people aren't slaves to a book of fairy tales anymore. Well...except for the poor people here. Catch up, people.

Incest, slavery, stoning of children, murder of homosexuals, and murder of nonbelievers were encouraged by the Bible.
Although according to the Bible, those acts are not considered wicked. So you do have a point.

Couldn't the same be said about the Ten Commandments? Why pick and choose? Either it is the inerrant word of God or it is not.
