a bit nit picky but, turpin left the lather on his face.... he wouldnt do that lol but other than that, good performance, Set could have been a bit more imaginative but oh well :P
Sweeney is Martin McNelis from Shannon, Co. Clare. Have to agree with CarrieFanatic, was lucky enough to see this production myself, absolutely brilliant stuff.
Sweeney Todd flubbed on the first verse of pretty women, I guess he mixed up lyrics. :) T'was supposed to be "Sitting in the window, or standing on the stair"
Sweeney can sing it beautifully but not overly impressed with his acting. He strikes me as a singer who can act...not an actor who sings. Sondheim has said that he prefers the later even though his works are incredibly difficult to sing.
Can you upload Johanna when he is killing the people

when he starts to sing at 2:27-2:42 that is one of my favorite parts of the song.

Do you have Epiphany from this production?
sdrhead 3 years ago
I do, but I won't be posting it! I lost the lyrics about a verse in, completely lost my place and it's absolutely humiliating. :(
So, no... ;)

Ah, sorry to hear that. How did you end up getting through it?
sdrhead 3 years ago
Oh, just a load of moaning and groaning and general acting distressed. Funny how these things always happen on Video night!

I love this, I never really liked Pretty Women, or any of the guys who played the judge. But I like this one, anyone know who he is?
And I guess 'sipping coffee' and 'flower arranging ' is suppose to be erotic xD

But he has a great voice.

Wrong. Notice that the tune for what you've written is different. Yet Sweeney was bang on with the Orchestra therefore he must have been right.

meatloafster has the right lyrics for one part of the song at least, I know that much.

Sweeney is AMAZING! What's the actor's name?

I love Sweeney and Lovett.
The Judge is struggling with some of the notes, though, and his appearance is unlike the one of any other Judge I've ever seen.

This is absolutely wonderful: the sets, lighting, costumes, filming... and the singing itself. Is there a website for said theatre group? :-3
