@etety05 Get a trim to prevent further breakage from split ends. Use k-pak once a week while you shower to restore the keritine, and bring strength and health back to your hair. Do not purm your hair, if you must chemically streighten it, use the keritine treatments, which are more expensive however much less damaging, not to mention, will slowly fade from your hair, so if you change your mind, no harm done!
Hi, I love you hair. I have an 11 year old who has the same problem with her hair. I want to cut it short, but she keeps telling me that she will look like a boy and that she does not like it. and that people will laugh at her. when I showed her your video she liked it but she will still not want to cut it. what can I do to help her understand? My dad relaxed my hair when I was 6. You don't know how PISSED my mom was. I had a big afro and he just freaking relaxeded it! When I was 7 I let it grow out and when I was 9 I had my afro back but it was damaged and it wasn't that big anymore. I always cut the ends but it didn't help. Now I'm 14 and I cut it off and now I was a little afro But I'm going to shave my whole head ! :D
This is all great. So far I've watched videos of beautiful black ladies going natural but for me my hair texture is like wool. I've tried going natural and it almost sent me into the hospital on the "0" level just trying to style it without looking like early Halloween in April. I wish my hair texture was like you guys. For now I'm with the relaxer.

Truly kinky hair is not that easy to transform. You have wash & go hair. Lots of work and product to get my hair to look good everyday. It's exhausting! Your hair journey is unrealistic for most of us. Get with someone who has real kinky hair & help them with a transformation. There's no comparison...

I'm from Trinidad and Tobago and have very similar hair texture to yours. I've had my hair relaxed from about age 8-14 and my hair was very damaged. At that point I decided to go back to my natural hair and chopped it all off...I started deep conditioning and understanding what my hair needed and wanted. Since then I've grown it a little longer than mid back but now I keep it a little under shoulder length to be able to control it better. I love my hair now and would never relax again.

Short hair really shows off your natural beauty, dramatically. You have a Hallesque quality to your features and the short hair really give you a wow-factor. Long hair makes you blend in with the general population. It's amazing what's uncovered when some people do a big chop. Wow, such stunning facial features! Not everyone can pull off a bold short cut, but you really have the face for it. The best shots were of you with the short hair. Hands down!

@candy25ish First, ALL hair is pretty and I have come across many people who are mixed/biracial that do not have the typical "mixed hair." You can be mixed and take more after one parent and have straight up kinky hair, which is beautiful as well. All hair is beautiful if you take care of it and maintain it. We truly have to stop this good/pretty hair stuff.
@rhoyal22 I totally agree with me. My brother and I, who have the same mother & father (white/black), have two different types of hair. We both have curly hair but his curl pattern is MUCH tighter than mine. All "mixed" people are NOT the same lol
@kurlyTAC Exactly. African Americans are mixed to a certain extent as well (most blacks and whites in America especially are), which is why we all have different textures/hair types and we all should celebrate the beauty in this diversity.

Short hair really shows off your natural beauty, dramatically. You have a Hallesque quality to your features and the short hair really give you a wow-factor. Long hair makes you blend in with the general population. It's amazing what's uncovered when some people do a big chop. Wow, such stunning facial features! Not everyone can pull off a bold short cut, but you really have the face for it. The best shots were of you with the short hair. Hands down!

Going natural looks like so much fun; but also so hard.
I hope I do go natural soon. My Mom's been putting a perm on my hair since I was 2. YES, TWO YEARS OLD. I am almost 15 now, and I want it out! I just hope my curls turn out like yours.. I know there are many different types of hair. And I don't really have any pictures to rely on for reference. ._. Haha, so, yeah. But thanks for the video! @candy25ish First, ALL hair is pretty and I have come across many people who are mixed/biracial that do not have the typical "mixed hair." You can be mixed and take more after one parent and have straight up kinky hair, which is beautiful as well. All hair is beautiful if you take care of it and maintain it. We truly have to stop this good/pretty hair stuff.

@rhoyal22 I totally agree with me. My brother and I, who have the same mother & father (white/black), have two different types of hair. We both have curly hair but his curl pattern is MUCH tighter than mine. All "mixed" people are NOT the same lol

@kurlyTAC Exactly. African Americans are mixed to a certain extent as well (most blacks and whites in America especially are), which is why we all have different textures/hair types and we all should celebrate the beauty in this diversity.
