  • the handstand smashes it!

  • Seeing is... Unbelieving!!!

  • Yo what the fuck is that beat he is scratching over at .30 seconds. SO beautiful!

  • @jehanme I think its Alyson Williams - i need your lovin.

Dont hunt me down if i am wrong!!!!!!!!!!!!! go find it and let me know.

  • SEEMS TO ME SOME PEOPLE ON HERE ARE VERY JEALOUS OF THIS GUYS TALENT!

THE MAN WAS TOP OF HIS GAME AT THE TIME HENCE DMC WORLD CHAMPION!!!

STEP UP TO THE PLATE AND ALL THAT!

  • @dickietaylor2000 100% agreed....

  • where can i find the starting acapella intro mixed on the soul-to-soul instrmental first track?

  • Very good :)

  • Comment removed

  • Back then in 91- THIS WAS AMAZING!! But I actually thought DJ Trip from Italy was really good too. Did anyone else notice DJ David fall over the mixer after all those spins? I wouldve fell on my ass! lol

  • he won because he put a routine together to PROVE no one could cut and scratch faster. it wasn't about making music sound good but showing he could move that fast without making a mistake. would his opponents have managed those speeds without going wrong? well, WOULD THEY? The kid was No.1. Simple and plain.

  • someone tell me what track is 6:06?

  • @paisley7777 Jungle Brothers - I'll House You, Classic !!!

  • Jungle brothers - I´ll house you

  • @paisley7777

It's the Jungle Brothers - I'll House you. Check out Fast Eddie if you like this sound aka Acid House music.

  • HE,S A BEAST

  • I can't believe he won with that routine. Even he must realize deep down he got over on some gimmicky shit. An example of "history" getting it's due over the reality of that ass whipping Q-bert gave him.

  • amazing video. But if you close your eyes and listen, then it's not so cool. Amazing skills and speed but not really nice music. I prefer QBert.

  • Qbert was more technical

  • WTF!

  • q bert should have won...

  • 4:40

  • holy shit this guys amazing

  • i thought i was a fast beat juggler till i saw this guy

  • @RegenBogenBlick

    i somewhat agree.

however very interesting and impressive, whatever he is doing doesnt seem like something i would judge as good hip hop, as in keeping good flow and juggling the beats.

    still rules though

  • @RegenBogenBlick

are u fucking a knob head? u fucking idiot, he didn't do it yesterday you turd end, what he was doing then was pioneering at the time, at the time ur dad was probably scratching ur mums hole and u were the unfortunate result of that shitty scratch!! go fuck yourself with a slide hammer u austin allegro driving fuck monkey

  • @HuayKwangBoy Ha ha haaaaaaaaaaaaaa, brilliant, though it doesn't make my comment any less true.

  • @RegenBogenBlick see it's 1991 man...not 2000...ciao

  • @fefedj genau 1990/1991 war er der beste! Extrem schnell - obwohl vieles nur Show war!! Aber der Wahnsinn halt, hab ich mehrmals Live gesehen!

  • I've seen this before but I still think the soda can thing was stupid and pointless (along with laying the table on the other)

    Mad skills though

  • I personally think this is one of the best performances of all time at the championships, & he was the first D.J to retain the title fantastic performance.

  • in my opinion I give dj david all the props. but if reckless didnt have the technical problems in 90s he would have had a chance to take 1st place. but it would have been a split decisin between him and david. while both are great , they have two different styles that stand out above many other djs. again in my opinion

  • Dope set it's just a shame he tucked his shirt into his pants lmao

  • Does anyone have the actual mp3 for the Alyson Williams I Need Your Lovin track in the beginning? Im looking just for the instrumental version from the 12". PM me if you got it

  • i remember when it was cool to dress like dat haha, would like to see his skills today if he still bustin'

  • prob the last yr dmc was really excitin..

now the styles are better but kinda boring unfortunately

  • Mekkora egy álllat Zabiela elmehet a picsába:D

  • He beat Qbert :O

  • Why does he put the turntables in different positions like that?

  • Anyone recognize the last song? "round and round...."

  • @AppleFreak111

Jungle Brothers - I'll House You

  • @AppleFreak111 its called "i'll house you"

  • fooled everyone with his fast "scratching"

beginning was cool and the spinning shit was fun

  • Dayum!!! He's fucken fast!!!!!

  • 2:28, he gets dizzie and about busts his ass!!lmao,,still way ahead of his time ..awesome

  • 100% DMC This is what it's all about!!

  • damn! he's fucking good :D

  • I've seen a gerzillion mixes since, & this is up at the top!

  • I don't have any doubts that he may be the fastest and most acrobatic dj in the world, but the only good music he played was the srcratching in the begining.

  • in two appearances he was the guy!!

  • crazy, it look like he speed up the whole video. That dude is fast as hell

  • rs...

  • lol no, i'm impatient and didn't mess with it long, i prefer the standard mixer in the middle, i meant with mixer on side not the 7 up intro my dude :P

  • thank god for technolgy

  • fuckin hell ! i cant even blink that fast ! he is good !

  • wooooooooooooow!!! naice dj

  • mai visto niente del genere, grande!!

  • i tried settin my shit up like that once, ONCE!!

  • and it fell and broke thats why you didnt try again rite? lol

  • fooled the crowd, qbert shoulda won.

  • that shit there is sick so fast

  • fuckin amazing

  • The cat from Finland that year ( i lost my tapes of these battles long ago) what was his name ?? DJ Ugalose ??

I thought he beat QBert myself too but damn if it wasn't close.

  • makes me laugh how many Q fans still bang on about how Q should have won.

Let's not forget Q was on Dave's turf...Dave being the reigning champion from 1990. 1990/91 was definately a turning point in turtabalism and this Kat happened to be at the top of his game.

If you don't believe me go and watch cutmasterswifts 1989 set...the one where he tries to fly! Considering the technology this is one of the best DMC sets to date!

  • Dont be ridiculous dude. 'best dmc sets to date' and yes Q bert did beat him hands down. It was not even close

  • Q's set was a total mess

At least he has cleaned up his style as time went by.

  • ha 2:28 he gets dizzy and falls over

  • btw, This is a classic battle and funny to boot.. lol

  • Quit h8'n man... lol

Everyone knows DMC competition isn't simply about skillz, although it should be, you would be silly to think it is. It's a display of showmanship & entertainment, thus the crowd there.

Anyone competing uses custom pressed vinyls or if you can't afford to, battle records. They all tape up sections for cue'n, tricks and managing position.

If you REALLY wanted an only skill based show, give them all the same vinyl, no tape, 1 hour to spend with it... and then perform.

  • you make an hella of a point, gotta say i agree with you mang, good post

  • best way to wake up in the morning lol

  • Technics on soda cans? How ghetto can it get?

  • Best ending EVER!

  • OMG

    CHECK 4:39 DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMN

IN THE YEAR 1991 NO RED BULL ;)

    KING DjAVID

  • I cant believe theres so many dissing on DJ David. Maybe it isnt the most "musical" set, but the only DJ Ive seen that had that kind of energy at that time was DJ Reckless.

Also the "Calling All Cars" bit was awesome, as was the opening bit with the Public Enemy records, and the ending...OMG.

  • I'm a Qbert fan, but he made too many mistakes in his set and he was boring at times. David got busy, admit it!! Sloppy at times, but got busy!!

  • LOL

  • i was there that night an the atmosphere for david was enormous!!! q-bert was hot but you coundnt see all the tricks an cuts he was doin an the crowd just wasnt gettin it...a thort the result was right....then i saw the video!! . . ..cnt blame david he rocked it..

  • I really can't believe this guy actually won a few times. Terrible. Absolutely terrible. And Qbert lost to this faggot? Wow.

  • q bert sucked in 91 dumbass

  • Not as much as this guy. At least Q showed off some interesting well executed techniques. There are only a couple of non-gibberish portions to davids entire routine. Give me a break. Where the fuck is the music?

Maybe its not Davids fault for being so bad. Maybe its because DMC engendered no talent faggots like this. Look at me I can move my hands and make a lot of awful uncoordinated noise. This really goes for Q just as much as David.

  • well, actually i think we can agree on this - although i think this was how most dj sets was on this time. dj davids set might be more reminiscent of a circus act than the winning set of the world dj championship, but in 1991 that shit was more entertaining than q-bert,.

  • That is fair. I can agree with that for sure.

  • Q bert was the guy who more make falts, compare another time the video

    jealous boy!!!!

  • Insane!! Not much flow to his set, lol! But insane none the less! lol

  • Comment removed

  • that intro scratch is still ridiculous simple but still rocks

  • Mane...dere really no words 2 describe that...i thought DJ Wiz, spinnin da records on hiz finger, den slam it perfectly on the cue point was da best of all...but dis, this NO ONE CAN REPEAT DIS!!! lol, dis is jus ridiculous,

DJ David, is da best in tricks

  • I wonder how much crystal meth it takes to DJ like that

  • or coke lol

  • @tdrives98 Alot! I tried once and my turntables managed to take themselves apart!

  • @tdrives98

Hay, i'm joking there brother. . . . lets take a chill pill and cool off. yes you are a rapist but i'm not going to get into that. Do you still sell David Carodine pants with the arse cut out ??

  • I watched this and then threw my decks out of the window into a furnace. Awful, just awful.

  • lol 2:07 he almost falls from too much spinning

  • lol...i noticed that too

  • this guy is the best worst dj i've ever seen and heard

  • part was sik @ d end

  • whats the name of the first beat?

  • i need your lovin - alyson williams (instrumental is hard as hell to find :-( )

  • j'adore revoir ce moment!!!!! ce tournoi cette année là étais très dur avec de sacrées pointures!!!!.. dj yoshi ,Q BEART ,djtrip.....

  • They were both top of their game.. I honestly think that David put on the better performance here. However.. that is not to say that Q hasn't stepped it up. I believe both deserve credit for developing new electronic music, industrial, house, break-beat.. you name it. The performances back then inspired ppl that are huge today.

  • Wow, this guy is wicked.

  • he has wayy too many tricks but this guy is hella crazy

  • Public Enemy - welcome to the terrordome (sampled later by chad jackson)

  • chad jackson hear the drummer get wicked

  • pasado de vrgaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • dizelash lik

  • bas...

  • what is the name of the track at 1:25??

  • why is the crowd so mad at the beginning? lol

    only "boo" and stuff

  • In England that "boobooboo" stuff is actually a good thing, something like "brapbrapbrap" etc so I've been told.

  • lol you retard ytfc71

he was just lip synching as an visual effect, who the fuck actually thought he was supposed to be talking???

    Idiot

  • i love how everyone downvoted this guy, personally i think his stupidity is hilarious.

  • this is soo weird. this video is maybe the first turntablist thing i saw in my life, back in 91 when they showed this in tv. i just didnt knew it was him, until i saw the handspinning thing. then i remembered everything. hes great btw, moves fast like lightenings ... makes you dizzy xD GO DAVID

  • I agree Q-Bert is good but credit where its due David is pretty good!

  • David is a Clown... Q-Bert IS the SKRATCH.

  • whatdhafuckkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

    kung fu warriooooooooooooooooooooor

  • like I SAID THIS GUY IS THE REASON Q STEPPED UP HIS GAME

  • lol @ the haters ... q's set was all over the place & untidy as fuck compared to this , this set was miles better & miles cleaner ... at the time imo david WAS better than q

  • i like homeboy's pleated khakis riding high at his chest

  • instrumental of alyson william's "i need your lovin".........awesum track

  • whats the first track he plays makin me loose my mind

  • fuck that qbert should of won fuck dj david sloppy as routuine...hmmm...is he making noise

  • Magnifico!!!

  • holy crap! O_O craziest routine i have ever seen

  • Damn right dude I was there in the flesh not believin my eyes or ears. Wildstyle.
