  • The worst place for you Bono is to hide in some Bunker on the three days of darkness that could be coming this October the 28th when the earth goes through its shift best outdoors in the snow

  • Loved this performance. To all the young artists, learn from one the masters on how to entertain a crowd.

  • Legends........2011 Qwest field can't fucking wait.......

  • Un- Fucking-Believable

  • 10% dinner party

    90% rock show

    100% U2

  • The thing I love most about watching live vids of this song is the feedback between Edge and Bono, because Bono knows he's about to witness an amazing guitar solo and he wants to find the best place to watch it from. It's the most connected I've ever seen them and it doesn't matter how close they are to each other.

  • goosebumps whenever I watch this.

  • you know your the STAR

when other stars are star struck....

  • how amazing would it be to eat dinner while seeing U2 live!

  • This song is the shizzle!!!

  • Lets not forget the drumming and bass. My favourite drum piece of this song (well I LOVE it all), but I especially like the drumming at 3:07 (you hear it at other places too).

  • Only band ever inducted still on top their game!

  • Rockin'!!! id lick da champers off ya Bono, dodgy mullet or not! ;)

  • Best band of the world. that's all folks

  • I love this song, love this version and love the epic hi-five fail I just noticed at 1:10

  • Greatest Band In the World, Ever.

  • @Bi11yB1uenose U2 is one of the best. Zeppelin takes the title for best band ever. It's not even close.

  • @Red40Wings13 zeppelin was together for ten years thats it. had they been together we'd be able to see if they'd be able to stand the test of time and see how they evolved from album to album. Unfortunatley that didn't happen. It did happen to u2. Every single one of there albums they've evolved and took a new approach. Just listen to the Joshua Tree and then listen to Achtung Baby.

  • @Red40Wings13

To each their own, but no array of terms can describe how laughable I find that statement.

  • Until this album (Achtung Baby) U2 were on its prime, Zooropa could still be saved but from then on man, U2 got spoiled with all the fame. Still, thanks for all those wonderful songs.

  • that nasty guitar.........

  • MY GOD WAS EDGE AND LARRY especially INTO IT .......

U2 FOR ME ARE NOW OFFICIALLY BETTER THAN BEATLES

  • @wisenumb FINALLY SOMEONE HAS THE SAME OPINION!!!

  • @wisenumb Yes they are!!!

  • U2 is the only relevant band of the last 30 years. You can hear the passion in the music, it paints a picture of salvation for all of humanity.

  • @lgwelsh1 I am a big U2 fan, own all the albums and then some, seen them live in 9 cities, 6 countries, and 2 continents and though the second half of your post is true the first half is definately not. U2 is not the only relevant band of the last 30 years. I'm sorry they just aren't.

  • I WANNA POGO!!!!!!!

  • What a room full of STIFFS!!!

  • what an epic performance love these guys my favortie

  • who is that he is hugging JRR?

  • I know I'm gonna strike some nerves with this post but the Rolling Stones don't even compare with the talent and content of the music that U2 has delivered in the 30 yrs they've been rockin'....The Stones' music is elementary (lyrics, guitar riffs) compared to U2 ... plus...U2 is still goin' strong and soundin' great....KEEP ROCKIN' BOYS !!! ... no band compares.

  • U2 = top of world

  • This is one of many reasons why U2 is my favorite band, Bono my favorite singer, Adam my favorite bass player, Larry my favorite drummer and The Edge THE BEST GUITARIST OF ALL TIMES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This is one of the few songs that you can tell they're truly proud of, every member contributes 100% in this song. Every aspect of this song is solid.

  • saw them in early 82 then at the US festival in 83.....They were billed 10th in a lineup of twelve! INXS was 11th. Goes to show who had staying power. The Clash headlined, men at work, flock of seagulls, berlin, wall of voodoo and some other non-lasting bands were billed higher.

  • the Edge and the 1978 Gibson Les Paul... PURE MUSIC

  • Nobody can touch the Edge !! This band is just as killer today, as they were when they first hit the circuit !

  • Edge you are the King!!

  • Edge is simply AMAZING!!!

  • One of the best things about Bono is you never know what he is going to do when he is performing. What he does on this is just great and mad at the same time.

  • That cosmic engergy...... everyone say's yeah!...... Bash!

  • JODER...

  • I love this performance. I love U2 and they soooooo belong in the R&R Hall of Fame.

  • best u2 song ever ,the lyrics so poetic and sang with so much passion

and bono not a robot standing on stage hiding behind a mic but allways wants that interacting with his audiance that makes him a brilliand live performer... one of the best

  • Larry must love this Song... He rocked it out.... I love Bono's gestures... He is a showman... Rock does not discriminate. Even Rich people can feel the vibe these four friends can produce.... AWESOME. U2 forever....

  • U2 is really playing their heart out for this performance

  • bonowecanbeone i am 17 too , and i also konw which is the best band in the history , the other bands except rollling and beatles has no comparisons with u2 ....

i dont know why some people like reggaetton or hip hop and not this

  • dont get any better

  • Comment removed

  • PEERLESS.

  • Happy 50th Birthday Bono!!

  • i'm 16 and U2 has been my favorite band since i was 11 when how to dismantle an atomic bomb came out

  • heh , I'm 17 to , and u2 is my fav. band. seen them 4 times live! They rule, still do , will always be ruling ever after.

  • the best band in the world of all times.

  • min 1:32 Is that C Zeta Jones ? Fu%$in doll man!

  • Mr MULHOLLAND, beatin' the FUDGE outa em' friggin' DRUMS...A classic.

  • They ARE the greatest Rock Band In the land!!!!!!!!!!!! Love these guys and their Music. Most of all, for what they stand for. Keep Rockin' Boys.

  • que puedo decir de u2? siempre haciendo sarcasmo hasta de si mismos, los amo hasta el fin del mundo aunque ultimamente se hayan convertido en una marca mas

  • no one around now is even close to u2.this is pure class

  • Awesome at 1:59 Bono's wife Ali is totally rocking out

  • incredible.fantastic song.who else cud pull this off.

  • They love playing this song.

  • Edge's riff makes me wanna jump!

  • @zajebski I always jump when I'm listening to this!

  • The Edge is such an underrated guitar player. This video is proof that he's one of the greats!

  • the most tasteful guitarist in rock in a long time.. he never hogs the spotlight but makes every song what it is, imo..

    definitely one of the greats!

    .. Jman..

  • 23th best guitar player in the history of rock.

  • @RebelThoughts Agreed.

  • at 1:58 - 1:59 is there alley (his wife) sitting in the audience?

  • @liftwartbertl

Yes, thats her. I'm pretty sure.. She was there at least.

  • Does anyone know where I can find all the band's speeches from this night

  • I really love this video!

  • 2:23

    F***ING BRILLIANT

  • @bnchase112 yes brilliant, he built his own party,

  • A M A Z I N G ! ! !

  • I want this played when i die!!!!!

  • It takes so much skill for the guitar to fill out the sound of the band, especially while remaining as minimalist in his selection of notes as he does.

    Edge is an amazing artist.

  • No other rock star in the world could have pulled off that move with the champagne bottle! The timing and pomp of a band who are destined to go down as the greatest of all time. So glad to be witnessing it rather than catching up 20 or 30 years from now.

  • that guitar sounds so good

  • 2:34 feel bono's energy...LOOVEE

  • our next song!

  • This is as good as any rock song ever written.

  • I love you bono, but please don't have that much exstensions again....

  • Bono is too old for long hair anyway, this is one of the greatest versions for one of the greatest songs of all time.

  • Some bands are born to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. For U2, its as easy as breathing.

  • amazing!!!

  • U2 IS HOT

  • Fucking hell! great, ther's still some irish blood in his bloody veins!

  • This literally gives me goosebumps!! Make sure you boys play this one at Glastonbury 2010!!!!!

  • This is U2 at their best! Awesome live version of this song. I would love to hear them in a smaller venue like this!

  • Bono shpouldn´t let his hair grow like that NEVER!!

  • @bliwers funny thing is - thats probably the look tha Bono is most known for

  • @Stereotype23 I know, but he doesn't look like Rattle and hum era, he looks like Nicholas Cage haha it seems he wears a wig

  • That is so funny but whenever Bono cuts his hair the ensuing tour does not seem to be so great - maybe the Samson affect. The last time his hair was short was the Popmart Tour and currently he has a cropped look on the U2360 tour. Neither one of these shows was bad (especially by other band's standards) but they were not epic like 1987 (Joshua Tree), 2005 (Vertigo), or the granddaddy of the them all in 1991 ZOO TV. All these tours had Bono with long flowing locks. LOL

  • 360 is waaaaaaaaay better than Vertigo tour because it is a better show and No Line on the Horizon blows How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb out of the water. NLOTH is their best album from front to back since Achtung Baby

  • Everybody is entitled to their opinion. The tunes on HTDAAB translate better live -- "City of Blinding Lights," "Love & Peace," "Miracle Drug" are awesome in concert. NLOTH is a great album but I don't think the songs came across as well live with the exception of "Breathe." They should have played "Fes" on this tour - that would be a great live number. But NLOTH is a studio record - "Moment of Surrender" is much better on album than live.

  • @drvertigo you're damn right dude!!

  • Yeah I thought of that too /hahahah!

(But 360 was really great, I've been at the concert in Amsterdam :)) But you're totally right.

So PLEASE Bono, Don't cut your hair and get your Achtung Baby hair back :D!

  • The last of the MONSTER bands.. Music is dying.. or at least heading in the wrong direction. Nice to hear there are still younger people who like U2. Tremendous taste folks!

  • @Apoptosis12 I'M INCLINED TO AGREE. IT'S TURNING INTO SOMETHING AND I JUST DONT LIKE THE FEEL OF IT.......MORE GOT TO DO WITH THE HEAD AND LESS GOT TO DO WITH THE HEART. OR SOMETHING. ZEE GERMANS HAVE A WORD......SENSUCHT OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT. ....

  • @Apoptosis12 There is still hope: U2 and Depeche Mode are still around and we have bands like Muse, Kasabian, Coldplay, Keane and the Killers. They know how to perform live.

  • @malawihenk75 Radiohead's live performance is in-fucking-credible.

  • U2 wrote "Miami"

  • I love U2 and I am 17. So does my dad. The younger generation just like rap and hip hop and think its cool but I know what real music is about. I think U2 are the greatest thing music has ever seen and Bono is the greatest singer I have ever heard with so much passion and The Edge. WHAT CAN I SAY. No guitar player comes close.

  • Im just as same as u, and agree in every single word. Edge is one of the greatest guitarists in the world.

  • @tordzander yay! im 15 and we'll be covering this song, one, gloria and bullet the blue sky for a gig at a church !

  • im in the same boat as u man.....17 years old and in love with U2

  • @BonoWeCanBeOne hey man, wow that comment could literally be me. im 17, love U2, it was my dad that got me into them. and i agree with you about everything about the whole rap and hip hop these days. its sad. Bono has so much passion and the edge, well the Edge is just the absolute best. I'm a guitar player, and I can't even tell you how many hours I've spent studying the edge's guitar work. U2 my friend, you too.... my friend rock!

  • Tell me about it. I am 18 now and will never change my mind about U2. Their the greatest. When I was about 12 is when I first heard U2. My dad threw in HTDAAB. Of course Vertigo started to play. Even with Vertigo it was unlike anything I had ever heard. I could tell this band was really special. Especially the guitar player and singer. I was amazed. I picked up a guitar when I was 14 bc of the edge. I am pretty good and all i play is him. I still cant get some of them though. ha. he is 2 good.

  • @BonoWeCanBeOne .. same man.. im 21 and i loved them since 'all that you cant leave behind' !!!.. dad before me and still does!!.. best band of all time!!... better still being a U2 fan and Irish!!.. sense of patriotic pride for me in all they do!!

  • @BonoWeCanBeOne

I totally agree with you man! I'm 18 and I've been listening to them for the past 3 years and I just keep on discovering new songs, B-sides and bootlegs. I've heard numerous live performences of their songs and I can definitely agree that U2 IS the best band ever! The best thing is that their live gigs are so different from each other and the songs are best heard live. Sadly the other bands have got it all wrong and the world loves what 10 year old kids listen to.

  • @BonoWeCanBeOne I don't think you should generalise Rap & Hip hop. Most is of it is crap music about ho's, dough and killin'. But the true rap is about people giving their soul in their music, just like U2. I'm not saying that I like that genre of music. But you are right, the popular song of today are CRAP, it's just entertainment not music. I'm also 17 and I'm the only one of my friends who really likes great music like U2. greetings from Belgium. :-D

  • @BonoWeCanBeOne

I'm 41 years old and BonoWeCanBeOne? You could not have said it better and as a proud U2 fan since their beginning, U2's music is possibly more relevant today than ever.

  • @BonoWeCanBeOne

I'm 41 years old and BonoWeCanBeOne? You could not have said it better and as a proud U2 fan since their beginning, U2's music is possibly more relevant today than ever.

  • @BonoWeCanBeOne amen same here im 12 years old and forget about rap

  • @BonoWeCanBeOne aho dude. aho. im 17 years old as well. im the only true U2 fan in my school, and i know what its like to be known as "the U2 fanboy" around the school. people (primarily kids) have lost taste in true music and rock and roll thanks to people like kanye west, taylor swift, and justin beiber to name a few. im glad im not the only highschooler with class and taste.

  • @BonoWeCanBeOne same here im 20 now listen to u2 for 3 years now ( way to short) but I LOVE THEM there is no better band

  • i've watched all the different tour versions of Until the End of the World. I feel like, with Bono, his singing of this song gets better with time. And Edge's guitar solo .... OH MAN. Always gives me chills! Also, Bono singing about his dreams in 2:51, wow. Perfect. Classic. Can't get any better than this. I hate how everyone in my age group right now 19-early 20s doesn't like U2. It's sad because a lot of new bands and indie stuff -- they get their inspiration and drive from bands like this.

  • totally my opinion! Until the end of the world is the most magic song ever... I forget everything around me when I hear that song!!!

and yes, I know, I have the same problem, that only a two of my friends also listen to U2's Music (but only because of my influence..)

in general U2 is not really popular in our age-group.. can't understand why :-/

  • The indies reject U2 because they associate them with their parents. The young always rebel against the vaules and institutions of the preceeding generation. The problem for these emos is that they have no acts that can approach U2 in terms of musical and lyrical depth. Rather than accept this fact, the hipsters scoff at what is patently superior -- sad trend in our lowest common denominator culture. Just as foolish to reject something b/c it is popular than to reject it b/c it is obscure.

  • This is U2

  • Bono looks like Max Wall with that hair

  • "In the Garden I was playing the tart/you kissed my lips and broke my heart/you, you were acting like it's the end of the world" Love those lyrics, modulated a bit from the original version probably because Bono was under the spell of Catherine Zeta-Jones. The way he moves towards her instinctively while singing these lines is classic -- Eden, Original Sin it's all there -- all you need is great music and a showman!!!!!

  • you hit the nail so well just there you brought a trickling tear.

  • Thank you very much.

  • 3 words: EDGE EDGE EDGE!

  • Yeeeeeesssss!!! EDGE EDGE EDGE ,,and Larry, look at him.. he's into it! Enjoying every second... but Bono :D ..forgetting lyrics LOL :)))

  • @DialovesBono true, true, true.

Like U2 until Pop. This is my favorite song.

I hope they don't play this one next October 2nd (Coimbra, PT), 'cause i gave my ticket away. :D

  • an amzaing group of humble men, who love to give their heart and soul, not for their fans, but for their family. hail the most amazing bunch of blokes u will evern come across.

  • bono god

  • This version was incredibly tight. Probably the best version of the song ive ever seen. That band can really climb to an estatic place.

  • Wow...WolfinWarrior way to post pretty coherent messages.
