  • The tiles are Porcelain 3/8" thick and they are smooth. One of those modern looking ones

  • @stephenquackenbush

It should cut those, some tile cutters are better than others so perhaps look at a better model- or you could try the new blade first

  • Thanks for the video. How often should I change the blade? Is there a certain amount of pressure needed because my tiles keep splitting off to the side?

  • @stephenquackenbush

The blades normally last a long time, but if it is blunt you should change it.

Are the tiles smooth or textured?

    How thick are the tiles?

  • Thanks for the video it answered a few of my questions.

  • @loosechange21

    You are welcome.

    Thanks for the comment

    Yeah, whatever

  • Thanks it is wonderful you had this up

  • Thank you for your informative videos. I also love the website and refer to it all the time. I will be laying porcelain tiles on my kitchen floor and was told the only way to cut them is with a wet saw.

Good thing I saw this video, so I can give it a go with a normal tile cutter and potentially save money there!
