Cute video. Good tips! I never thought about pre-painting my pages. I sometimes go with a color of how I'm feeling... but that's a good idea to try!
Gesso.. would you recommend regular white paint if I didn't want to buy the Gesso?

white paint will work! I used to hate gesso, but the recycled file folders i used for the pages need something over it. If you have a Hobby Lobby nearby you can by a HUGE bottle of it for about $5. use what you like and you'll like the outcome!
