very interesting, in Russian culture we have a custom of Kolyada (Коляда) just before Christmas. Now I probably know the origin of word Kolyada:)

P.S. Wikipedia says the word is pre-christian, so it's not a loadword from Lit to Rus, but just the word that these languages retained through ages:)
