It's only in the last century, when the industrialized West has been dumping billions of tons of greenhouse gases, has the magnitude of these kinds of disasters gotten so frequent and severe.

I shudder to think what will happen to these millions of people when the rising sea levels permanently submerges their homes. Will the West give them what it stole from them?
