@VIXENLAZGO2 Whenever it will do damage, put you in a favorable situation or get you out of a bad situation! So EX DP for more damage at the end of a combo, EX FB for a knockdown in a combo, and HP DP FADC backdash to take a educated guess and be able to get out of the situation safely if they block. All the rest is just feeling I guess.

So basically if your opponent guess right with what move you will do with demon flip...bang there goes 60% of my health...the demon flip is also my best offensive starter attack...this is frustrating....how should i approach a match then with this guy :S? i wont give up on using him...I jus dont see how i can get good offense without the demon flip (which barely lands,but i will try to hit confirm from now on thanks to your other video showing me my errors xD)

Excellent! I won't give up using Akuma either, even though I've experimented with Ryu a few times and still wound up using Akuma as my main. One of my favourite ways of doing a hit confirm after a demon flip -> dive kick is to do a standing fierce into fireball. It should give you enough time to confirm whether the dive kick connected. On block, it won't leave you at a frame disadvantage. On hit, continue with an FADC into a standing fierce, light hurricane, shoryuken.

how come i cant do the ex demon flip with 360 controller, everytime i hit the all kicks (this is how us controller people do ex's) but everytime it turns into a fucking teleport, plzzzz reply :(

@MisterSrosis Teleport is DP+3P or 3K, so that's why you get a teleport. You need to hit only two kicks to get EX Demon Flip. I know plenty of Akuma's that play on pad, they demonflip fine.

In fact, I venture to ask this much larger question of: Do you think Akuma is more, less or equally effective as a character in SSF4? In my experience on Live I do not see him as often as I once did. In fact, a match against another Akuma is somewhat of a rarity.

I find the demon slide is useful after throwing a Zankuu Hadouken because your opponent will Hi-Guard then the sweet will knock them down.

Not exactly, it can stuff a reversal, but they're so advanced that they know they're timing jumps to stuff/block reversals, and the other opponent also knows this so they don't throw one out.

If you're throwing a fireball, tap MP+MK lightly while still holding forward, then quickly tap forward. It takes no time at all that way. I main Seth and can do all his FADC combos on a 5 dollar keyboard.

Also, I think the dive kick can be blocked low so if they were expecting one and you just did a combo string starting with a c lk they cud still have just held down guard. But u probably knew that so just ignore this then, i cud hav just overspeculated. But I really gotta give you props on your vids, it really looked like you put a lot of work and efort into it. very impressive stuff but unfortunately on a pro-level even you have to admit the demon flip is pretty much useless. That's really why he can't stack up against ryu.

demon flip is not useless at all. The same demon flip where a dive kick would hit for a combo can have the palm used and land BEHIND the opponent. That means on the same VISUAL that someone might try to SRK you if you had pressed kick, will lead to the opponent wiffing a SRK giving you a free counter. On the other hand if all you do is jump in with HK or mk its obvious what you are going to do.

If anything demon flipping on wake-up mix-up is NECESSARY in high lvl play..

Demon Flip is Akuma's best mix-up tool, if you don't use it then you're not really playing Akuma, you're playing a weak Ryu.
