of course Linda wasn't the greatest singer or keyboard player at first-she had no experience at all in music and never planned on being in a band but Paul asked her to so she did- and she did a great job considering she had no lessons or anything- even The Beatles earliest songs were junk thats why they never released some of them.
if u also watch In The World Tonight Documentary promoting Flaming Pie, U Can see Paul Working on this Song And taling about The Aminated Movie, But it was First Recored in 1987 Paul Just Dusted it up For the Movie (U Can Buy The Aminated Movie On Dvd) Check Ebay
I forgot where I read it (I think the credits to the feature), but that's not Linda singing. She just voices Wilhemina in the beginning and says "Welcome to our island." That's it. It's some other singer who sings that part.
but I think...this isn't in line with the audio of linda during a concert singing the backing vocals to "hey jude"..know what I mean...she must have had a bad day compared to this song here. She's good :)
no ,she does not have a great voice. She sounds ok on some stuff. However, This was a concert. The engineer isolated her voice- so all you heard was her on Hey Jude. Doing la la a . TheHey jude video passed around for years. Paul was pissed off. this is not a fake. Its' so bad it is funny. Sorry to say bad things about her
I don't understand the big deal with the isolated Hey Jude Vocal. When the whole audience is singing, it's not like anyone could hear her sing, yet she can't just sit there and not sing along. She sang on the original Hey Jude with the Beatles as back up so I'm sure if she was really trying where people could actually hear her, it would sound better. Just listen to some of her harmonies on Wings records
it is Linda Singing (I Know Did Does'nt Sound Like, But Trust Me It's Her) It Was Recorded In 1987 With George Martin Produsing, Paul Reworked On The Song In 1997 For An Aminated Movie(Flaming Pie Time) But It Was Done In 1987. (Read Any McCartney Book It Will Say)
She sounds a lot like Peggy Lee in this recording. Don't worry folks, it's a compliment :). I know the McCartneys were Peggy Lee fans. Paul once produced one of her albums,
That's Peggy Lee singing in there, too

This isn't LInda singing because when it was recorded she was too ill with cancer. It was recorded in 1997 and she died in 1998.
She never sang on "Hey Jude" either.
histre101 1 year ago
@histre101 Actually it dates back way further than 1997. Paul began recording Tropic Island Hum in 1989

Yeah, they found a good match. Trust me, it isn't her. If I ever get around to watching the video again I'll post the name. It's like a jazz singer.

Yep for sure it's fake on Hey Jude. Linda could clearly sing in key as this song suggests otherwise Paul wouldn't have had her in. Simples!

I heard some engineer was mad and messed with the recording of Linda's singing. She really does have a beautiful voice.
