Out of all the 4 houses the battleships of Liberty appear to have the most practical shape. Nothing useless. After them Kusari has the second in design practicality. Bretonia and Rheinland have the most impractical designs!

ok so here is the facts, i got it even in campain you can see rheinland battleship is much larger than any other one, but its ugly as hell, when rhainland battleship ambushes you and when the osiris comes and you duck at it, that misson, if you look back for one second you can see its massive size, anyway here is my original comment: WHATS THE NAME OF THE FRECKING MOD?

Nothing big.. Just download the Discovery mod and you will be able to play with each battleships VS PLAYERS .. Thats it when you trade for around 2-3 weeks for money..But then you can fight against other players..

Yes. Try Discovery 4.85 mod... If I can call it mod... It's in fact Fan Expansion. In this mod you have 8 [truly 9] houses. Except Liberty, Bretonia, Rheinland and Kusari this expansion/mod add new 4, Corsair (Corsairs and their allies), Outcasts (Outcasts and their allies), Nomads and... Gallia, the jouse created from scratch (two in fact, the Royalist and Council, which are at war).

And expansion/mod can offer more ships, even pirate fractions have own capitals.

Freelancer is not a freeware so you can't download it for free. You can at least buy it from certain sites on the net. However there is always a possibility to download it from torrent sites for free but this isn't legal as the piracy is EV1L :P

Also remember that the original game does not contain cool stuff like battleships so you have to download a mod which will allow you to fly one. Don't worry - mods are always free ;)

You can, but you cannot use battleships for some campaign mission because of their size, missions such as those in asteroid field and chasing will be extremely difficult.

It's abit tough flying around inside an asteroid field with a battleship though.

It keeps bumping into everything.

That's why I usually take a gunboat or cruiser, nice, not too big, and the Liberty Cruiser has a way powerful gun (Only good against stationary or slow-moving targets like battleships.)

If you want to have fun for just 5 minutes, Battleship mod is a part of FLMM 1.31

If you take it seriously, try Discovery mod online, but it will take you dozens of hours to reach the Battleship. But that makes a lot of satisfaction.

ive seen Them Trade lanes befor in The Antares Mod on Vanguard 2 Server, it was very cool there and every thing was balanced out... also they isn't alot of point of useing battle ships, they are almost invincable in the weaker systems and take no Skill to use...
