  • i'm very glad to know great people as you....

  • What a great video, can't believe I'm just now seeing it for the first time.

  • i would do this workout but sadly.. i have no baby

  • looks cool, but i prefer strict high resistance training

deadlift 2.5x bw and squat 2x bw - much more satisfying and return on investment is greater in terms of physique development / time spent training

  • @korvix But the problem with that is, is your "return on investment" actually valuable? This type of training is practical for the work humans should be doing everyday.

  • @korvix if you research it, the founder of MovNat doesn't say its the only way. MovNat is about natural movement skills. i love powerlifting and used to do the same ratio as you but ask yourself why you have to pick one over the other. specialization is one-dimensional. being strong is important, but so is flexibility, agility, endurance, speed, balance, defending yourself, etc. if a person wants to develop physique, cool, but i aim to still move - lift/run/climb at 60, heck, why not 90.

  • that baby is swole

  • That's awesome! I've never seen anyone else train with their kids like that except me! Cute too!

  • That is the cutest kid!

  • How did you make the green bag for walking on all fours? What's is stuffed with? How much weight?

  • @cselvaratnam It's a sand bag and it's probably about 40-50lb if I remember correctly.

  • Why are you indoors? I can garantee it's more fun outside

  • This is awesome too many years of boring workouts with sets, reps, back and biceps, chest and back blah blah blah. Finally fun and creativity in a workout with great results.

    Thanks

  • awesome stuff, truly functional stuff, good for a gpp day or conditioning. love it folks.

  • Favorite part was the dog... could tell he was not enjoying that! :)

  • The movement aspects of this would benefit from evolving and incorporating parkour. After all, parkour evolved from this, and holds similar philosophies.

  • was at the gym today!! this is no joke had the best workout of my life !!!!!! i will not forgot family day 2011 haha peaceeeeeeee all

  • that s a joke....com on, please tell me its a funny video

  • 2:04 - 2:07 and 2:25 - 2:27 - Best workout ever

  • Excellent video. This goes to show everyone that the gym doesn't have to be static workouts and boring treadmills. These are TRUE gym exercises and I wish were more practiced by the general population. Regardless, top notch video boys and girls. Love the dog sequence.

  • that little girl is gonna be ripped when she grows up ; )

  • Great stuff going on here!!! Love the dog squat and "kid-get up"!

    -ManTis

  • I'll be there tomorrow - really can't wait!!!!!!

  • I'm so damn jealous. I want that kind of equipment to play with!!!

  • man, shame these places don't exist in UK. I look like an idiot if I go to the gym and do that.

  • @vinsong - if you're in London give me a shout mate!

  • nice skin the cat at the end!! i wish there was a facility that focused on this kind of training here in my town! i like the plank exercise too, going thru the hurdles! that was brilliant!

  • Thanks for the info, I attend Erwan's workshop recently in West Virginia and if I am able will visit you guys in September! Peace from London, UK!

  • What's this music - love it (and the workouts!) @FitnessExplorer

  • @FitnessExplorer Thanks! The music credit is given in the video description.

  • What is the proper name for that bungie rope that the trainer used at 3:15 of the clip? I want one :)

  • I love this place! Very knowledgeable staff - particularly in the Olympic lifts and gymnastics moves. They go beyond teaching and developing clients in the strength domains as they also work on metabolic conditioning, balance, agility, climbing and much more! I really like the way they have stretched my ideas about what fitness is, as I practice these skills/exercises with the useful (and naturally instinctive) intent of defense and survival (escaping, evading, balancing and attacking). It's fun

  • @UAZaqwert This is much more about skill and form than strength. It's not meant to be strength.

  • I usually just walk up and down the stairs. I find this the most natural.

  • TGU with your baby, FTW!

  • Good ideas...thanks!

  • This is great, very inspiring, thanks!

  • Bravo! This is how to workout!

  • excellent video. StrengthBox would be the gym I would go to if I still lived in Toronto.

  • now THESE are some practical exercises. Not running on a treadmill for 30 minutes everyday.

  • Love the gym man, looks like a great place to train. Wish I had one where I live...

  • I so need to remodel my garage...

  • Is this fat loss/muscle gain, or training in particular skills? And don't say "both" - they're mutually exclusive.

  • @grantsinmypants2

do you know the meaning of mutually exclusive?

Someone who trains as an olympic sprinter is training in a particular skill, while burning fat and gaining muscle. so the answer could be both, however it's not as they are doing lots of different skills. so fat loss/muscle gain.

  • Great gym, the young one at the end is precious!

  • That gym is so win!

  • This is really great! Exuberant, natural movement! I love it! Inspirational

  • Just great!

  • If there was a gym like that here, I'd never leave...

  • @On1L1nk Seconded!

  • How fun! Some great ideas! I would love to train at a gym like this!

  • Wow! Very moving to see as humans just how far away from we've gotten from our natural instictual movements

  • Holy crap! I feel cool just knowing you guys! I love Strength Box! Every workout is f@)^@in' FUN!!!! Sexy pistols Liz! I do NOT have those yet...more time in the Box will change that!

  • This looks like great fun!
