well hay guys my name is javen and my rc helicopter the back little wing broke now it can,t fly it keeps swirling aroun and i will tell everyone on facebook if you help me that has a youtube account and wath it and add as FAVORITE
I have a picooZ and I think it is alright and easy to fly. All you have to do is use the trim on it to get the right balance. I know your picooZ goes in circles, right?
@venato75 This model is pretty old but yes it is controllable. Have look at my Syma S105 video which flies much better again. Having said that the S107 is even better again as it has a built in Gyro, but I haven't done a video on that one yet
You will find it can't stay up. You end up with less and less power and eventually it can't lift off anymore. Charge it and you're up and running again
Compared to a 3 channel heli this is kinda boring. Bought one too, and yes its almost indestructible, but its so hard to fly where you want to go because its only 2 channel.
lol i had the same heli and it broke after 3 flights. it had no power to lift anymore. i lubed and did everything i could get up with to fix it but i couldnt get it to lift
I agree, very good helicopter. I had three Picooz (or similar) and they always spun around and got mashed. I recently bought this one and it is great! I thought I broke it today but it just needed some adjusting. The landing gear broke off straight away but I didn't like it anyways.
dont get these things..they are only 2 channel..i bought a similar one from ebay for 10 quid.,its ok to fly but difficult to make it go EXACTLY where u want it to go., its great for just messing around and even if it breaks its not a problem..get ALTEAST a 3 channel helicopter...that has many more controls and its more fun to fly,.,its the same size as this and the airwolf replica version costs only 25 pounds on ebay...with a home charger, so u dont have to charge it from the controller.
ive now got a 16 inch long airwolf 4 channel and that thing has POWER.,.,the rotors go so fast that it scares me ! its cost me only 70 but comes with a 1000mah battery and a 2.4 ghz controller.,LOTS OF RANGE .,cheers.
If it responds to the Power but not the rudder then its brocken. You should be able to use the trims to stop it from spinning. If you can't trim it and you can't stop it from spinning then it doesn't work!

I would judt like to say I would reccomend this great helicopter and you can get them on ebay under the name "syma fairy helicopter".Also i have a question for bmsweb "is this the 609 version of the helicopter?".
Not sure what version it is. I have a feeling its the first one, because I purchased this before they were on ebay and the finish is very good. And for the record this model is still functional today! Best $30AUD we have spent on a model.
sorry to say but you suck at flying then XD. i have both a Picooz and the one in the vid (excep mine's green) and i have no problems with anyone of them.
this message is not to you BMSWEB its for oscarstu1
he means that they have 3 different channels, so that you can be three persons in a room and flying a heli each without disturbing the other ones (radio signals)
well there might be some better i guess but i have the same one as you escept it's just green. and its not many that beats in in performance, balance and good control !
cause i've been in a swedish hobby store called Teknikmagasinet. and there you can try them for free, and i thought the one you and i have were the best.
also have you noticed how his is going in a circle and isnt changing direction?
this is becouse its too hard to controll direction all you can do is controll altitude what you want if you are buying one is to get one that is over 15 pounds or itll be crap like this 1!
i bought a new picco z for 15 pounds and it is amazing that fairy copter i got cost 10 pound to repair and in the end its rotor broke and the cog started slipping down my new one is good and still works.
You have too trim it. It requires you to keep pressing one of the trim until it stops spinning. Seriously its not that hard. If you read the instructions it tells you this.
I GOT EXACT 1!! lolz but mines blue i couldent fly it that good! MAN! ur sons great at evreything!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:) I wish im gnna have a son like that hes a role model at that age! makes us aussies proud! 5stars:)
The main thing with the Fairy Helicopter is trimming it out. Basically keep pressing the appropriate trim button until it stops spining. Once you've trimmed it out, it should fly well.
I will post one of his acting videos that we did when he was 5 years old, its a scene from Aliens and its very funny, because some of the words in the script are too big for him!!
Please, tell me. I see two joysticks ont he controller. Left/right and up/dawn. So is there something on the controller to make this helicopter go forward/backwards? I there 3rd dimension of controlling the helicopter?
I'm 14. I have flown the Blade Cx2, Blade cp+ and the Blade 400. I have practiced hovering. I took them out for flight and it was fun. Im currently Building the Raptor with the .50 engine. Couple more mts, and i hope to have it flying!
Problems? 4 areas that require "tweaking".(1)The nose should have a small amount of weight. Too much, and the heli will "porpoise", trying to level out.(2) The tail boom can be twisted gently in a clock-wise direction, slightly aiming the tail blade downward, bringing the nose down. Boom twisted 5 degrees will make it fast, w/ a larger radius, best for outdoors.(3)Twisting the rotor for less lift makes it more sensitive w/ the throttle. With max lift, it cuts out and drops easier. Play with it!
Hey, in your opinion...should i become a helicopter pilot or an airplane pilot...my budget is $300...i have a havoc heli right now... so whats your opinion?(im 12)
The advantage with planes is you can fly them over and over again (so long as you don't crash it), but helicopters have a lot of maintenance. That's why there are so many spares for heli's. So if you like flying the helicopters and you don't mind ongoing repairs and replacing parts, then heli's are OK. I prefer planes myself. But its best to do what you love.
I find the helicopters better then planes cause i can actually fly the heli`s in house Only issue is I got the Airhog Stinger for easter and its made of foam didnt last very long =/
My last posted comment was a little negative about Ecoman mini-helis. My replacement finally arrived, much to my amazement. It took a few minutes of tweaking on, but once trimmed, the Microgear 47G flew beautilly. It actually flew smoother and more stable than my Havoc Heli. No lie. I was very impressed, and surprised. I take back what I said in my previous posted comment. I just hope that this heli holds up as well as the Havoc Heli. For $20, this is a sweetheart.
I have yet to see anything with any quality that's made in China. Their whole philosophy is to make certain that everyone has a job. That means that nothing is meant to last, so that it has to be bought again at some later date. Ironically, we import 80% of products from a country that hates us. Look at the poison pet food, lead paint, and numerous other toxic hazards China sends us. They don't care. They hate us. They intentionally send unsafe products to us. Boycott all of their cheap crap.
Its interesting because my one is actually made in China too, but for the same token there also appear to be copies made too. So I'm guessing the ones made under license are ok due to quality control, but there are also some very cheap or should I say not so cheap copies being made.
Obviously, you got a good one. Mine came w/ no manual, wouldn't turn at all, and battery lasts about 2 1/2 min. It died after 2 weeks. The Ebay site where it was purchased, wanted $10 to repair it. I threatened to leave negative feedback, and after numerous emails, they eventually said they'd send a replacement. They never did. Beware of cheap Chinese junk, and sellers that speak little English. I recently bought a Havoc Heli, and the difference in quality is noticeable. Live and learn.
I purchased mine from Toy Kingdom in Australia and I still have the same one and it flies perfectly. I would hate to imagine how much flying its done. My son crashes it every now and then but for the most part no issues at all.
You are correct in that some of the Chinese Heli's are crap. My friend purchased one from ebay and you can't even trim it out at all!
yea definitely go for the brookstone one i have the red one and if you get tired of the color just snip the blade and get a new one for free and when you return it keep the spare tail rotor it came with
I have two of them. They are much better than the havoc. My new one has a fly bar instead of the second blade-flybar combo. I bought my new one at brookstone. I had added some electrical tape to the tale boom to slow down its forward flight. I did that so I can fly in smaller places like inside my bunk in the cruise ship I work on. I also own an E-flight blade CX2 and Blade 400 3D.
Just do a Google search for havoc replacement blades. I also found blades from amazon. I don't think you will need the main rotor. The only thing that broke on mine was the tail rotor from hitting a steel pole and landing on pavement. If I see myself getting ready to smack a wall I just cut the power and let it fall to the ground. I hand launch it cuz it stops the tail spinning during start up.
I still love flying this bird even thought I fly my blade CX2 and B400 3D. Fairy is a good heli.
Hey, well, I just got one of these Fairy ones and, well, im not too impressed....
eBay, of course, but I think it might have some troubles. It only stays up for about 2-3 seconds and ONLY for the first take off after a full charge from flat. Anything after that, and it just goes straight for the floor...
Not to mention its nasty habit of resetting it's trim when powered down. With it hitting the floor every 10 secs, powerdown occurs really often. So, any suggestions / ppl with same problems?
Sounds like a bad battery. I can get about a 5 min flight on mine before having to recharge. I would recommend keeping your Fairy for spare parts and get a new one from Brookstone or amazon. Brookstone selling them for $29.95. Comes in red or silver. They also have a replacement warranty for about $5 bucks! Break a blade get a new heli.
great flying! How can you do that? i've got the same heli and i can only control altitude and make it turn around but i can't make big circles or straigt lines like you do...
I am from Australia. We purchased this one from Toy Kingdom, but they don't seem to stock them any more. On Ebay there are heaps of them. Have a look at the Radio Controlled Electric Helicopters. You can pick one up for around $25AUD
I would look at the sellers rating and that should give you an idea if you can trust them or not. I usually buy from sellers with 98% plus ratings. You will also need a paypal account too. Its the safest way to buy. Having said that you need to do what's right for you. At the end of the day you need to make sure you are comfortable with them, if not I wouldn't buy from ebay.
I have brought lots of stuff off eBay and I have never come across anything of that such if they are charging too much Postage & Packaging for no reason they I would report them. Amazon can be safer but I prefer eBay.
umm...i got one for christmas and a day after it stoped working, a push the trotal and the only thing that happens is it keeps on spinning around and round and i cant control it...what do i do???
BMSWEB... i have the same problem as ausomi, i kept on pressing the button but from counterclockwise it would go right away to clockwise and keeps on goin to the right or left... how long before you had the your heli stop spinnin? thanks!
that happened to mine. You need to give the trim buttons a really really hard push, they don't catch very well. After pushing them in as hard as possible the heli is now working great.
I bought one, got it this morning... and it won't take off! :-(
I've managed to stop it from rotating clock and anti-clock wise, but it just won't leave the ground, no matter how much throttle I give it... just topples to the left and that's it. So frustrating! Has anybody got any advice please???
charge it an half hour. Then try it again, if it doesnt work just drive around on the floor a for a moment, then, take it up in your hand and throttle. Then u drop it with ur hand and see whats happens, if it doesnt work, i dont know what u should do.
I was going to buy one on ebay i just have a few questions first, how easy does it fly? how long does it take to charge?, how long is flying time?, do you enjoy it?, if it crashes is it still able to get up and keep flying?
It is quite tricky at first to fly it. U have to set the trim n stuff, but the instructions are on the box or the manual, and it take roughly half n hour MAXIMUM to charge. im not sure how long it flies for and it is great fun! Also it is made of extremely strong, durable plastic, so it can take quite a battering. (Just dont fly it into a blender n u wont have ne problems :D)
there's no difference really, the fairy copter only has two control frequencies, the picooZ has three, and the picooZ looks better and the picoo is faster, so HA!
ummm i played with one of those about 30 mins ago and picoo z is wayyyy better. that flew into a picture and the rotor blades flew of. they were gone faster than a pizza in a weight watchers convention and ended up on the other side of the room. also picoo z's can lazer battle eachother.

braymanj 3 years ago
I purchased mine from Toy Kingdom in Australia and I still have the same one and it flies perfectly. I would hate to imagine how much flying its done. My son crashes it every now and then but for the most part no issues at all.
You are correct in that some of the Chinese Heli's are crap. My friend purchased one from ebay and you can't even trim it out at all!
BMSWEB 3 years ago
yea definitely go for the brookstone one i have the red one and if you get tired of the color just snip the blade and get a new one for free and when you return it keep the spare tail rotor it came with

gurusam, Love your thinking. LOL....

got mine today i love it lol :D
AnThOnYrox8 3 years ago
I have two of them. They are much better than the havoc. My new one has a fly bar instead of the second blade-flybar combo. I bought my new one at brookstone. I had added some electrical tape to the tale boom to slow down its forward flight. I did that so I can fly in smaller places like inside my bunk in the cruise ship I work on. I also own an E-flight blade CX2 and Blade 400 3D.

i have the exact same heli that u are talking about! what color is urs? mine's red. :P
MaverickHunter75 3 years ago
Mines the silver one. Well it looks more like translucent. They call it silver.
captainjack63 3 years ago
nice. :P btw do u know where to get replacement blades, just in case?
MaverickHunter75 3 years ago

So, any suggestions / ppl with same problems?
widowmaker95123 4 years ago
Sounds like a bad battery. I can get about a 5 min flight on mine before having to recharge. I would recommend keeping your Fairy for spare parts and get a new one from Brookstone or amazon. Brookstone selling them for $29.95. Comes in red or silver. They also have a replacement warranty for about $5 bucks! Break a blade get a new heli.

CAN U BUY THESE IN AUSTRALIA?
Slyraider100 4 years ago
I am from Australia. We purchased this one from Toy Kingdom, but they don't seem to stock them any more. On Ebay there are heaps of them. Have a look at the Radio Controlled Electric Helicopters. You can pick one up for around $25AUD
BMSWEB 4 years ago
can ebay rip you off realy bad like u pay for the card board box and get no heli :P im just nervous bout ebay + postage is up to 20 bucks
Slyraider100 4 years ago
I would look at the sellers rating and that should give you an idea if you can trust them or not. I usually buy from sellers with 98% plus ratings. You will also need a paypal account too. Its the safest way to buy. Having said that you need to do what's right for you. At the end of the day you need to make sure you are comfortable with them, if not I wouldn't buy from ebay.

If you live in Melbourne, Pipeworks also stock them (its a market up north). You could also try hobby shops, I'm sure they would have them.
Good Luck :)

I have brought lots of stuff off eBay and I have never come across anything of that such if they are charging too much Postage & Packaging for no reason they I would report them. Amazon can be safer but I prefer eBay.

umm...i got one for christmas and a day after it stoped working, a push the trotal and the only thing that happens is it keeps on spinning around and round and i cant control it...what do i do???
ausuomi 4 years ago
Use the Trim button to trim it out. You have to keep pressing the trim button until it stops spinning.
BMSWEB 4 years ago
BMSWEB... i have the same problem as ausomi, i kept on pressing the button but from counterclockwise it would go right away to clockwise and keeps on goin to the right or left... how long before you had the your heli stop spinnin? thanks!
trevionn 4 years ago
that happened to mine. You need to give the trim buttons a really really hard push, they don't catch very well. After pushing them in as hard as possible the heli is now working great.
Jimbomiles 4 years ago
i did what you said and its now working well, thanks man! i really appreciate it!

I bought one, got it this morning... and it won't take off! :-(
I've managed to stop it from rotating clock and anti-clock wise, but it just won't leave the ground, no matter how much throttle I give it... just topples to the left and that's it. So frustrating! Has anybody got any advice please???
whiteonesugar 4 years ago
leave for 1/2 an hour to charge otherwise it wont be able to lift off the floor
Davmeister13 4 years ago
charge it an half hour. Then try it again, if it doesnt work just drive around on the floor a for a moment, then, take it up in your hand and throttle. Then u drop it with ur hand and see whats happens, if it doesnt work, i dont know what u should do.

read the instructions..
Turbo856 4 years ago
I was going to buy one on ebay i just have a few questions first, how easy does it fly? how long does it take to charge?, how long is flying time?, do you enjoy it?, if it crashes is it still able to get up and keep flying?
atvmaster281 4 years ago
It is quite tricky at first to fly it. U have to set the trim n stuff, but the instructions are on the box or the manual, and it take roughly half n hour MAXIMUM to charge. im not sure how long it flies for and it is great fun! Also it is made of extremely strong, durable plastic, so it can take quite a battering. (Just dont fly it into a blender n u wont have ne problems :D)

there's no difference really, the fairy copter only has two control frequencies, the picooZ has three, and the picooZ looks better and the picoo is faster, so HA!
cheesedonkey888 4 years ago
Guys, You are comparing the old fairy to the new PicooZ. Realistically, this video is no longer relevant.
BMSWEB 4 years ago
the picooz SUCKS it is made out of cheap looking foam and the fairy has sturdy plastic
So HA CHEESEDONKEY888!!!
