continued..... thats why im a fan of derby style fishing, my experience pays off ! Catch shares can be bought, but up to 1 % of the quota can only be obtained. I have done the math on certain species in my waters that i harvest, and a cut in harvestation is present if catch shares are adopted.

YES, catch shares which stands for the reduction in the number of commercial boats targeting that specie.OR " putting people out of business ". Overshoot quotas without catch shares ? Not true. Closure of the fishery to reassess the quota works just fine ! Thats what a trip ticket is for, recorded landings ! Also, catch shares stand for the elimination of knowledge in regards to fishing. Your success isn't from knowledge any longer, any moron can catch his share over a time period !
