I think les left the tag on his bass to kinda appologize to his fans for not useing his Carl Thompson. No one would listen to the damn song if he had it out. They would marvel as the awesome CT bass
That is not what Les said in his interview with Tom Brokaw on Meet the Press. Mr. Claypoool said it was the worst bunch of hillbilly hop-heads he had ever dealt with. He said at least in jail there would have been less sodomy.
I have seen other interviews with Mr. Claypool. I know what it is like when he is kidding and when he is actually opening up to the interviewer. Make no mistake. He had the court order. He was forced to play with them. There was a lot of dope and sodomy backstage.
this whole band rocks but with less its insane !!!!

redtape420 fucking sucks, not claypool
afroboy389 3 years ago
He's known for constantly joking around about claypool. Look at his videos, all primus/claypool/fancy stuff.
He gets off to your anger dude.
BritaniaRuleAgain 3 years ago 2
are you serious dude???
you obviously have no idea what the hell you're talking about!
soptamer 3 years ago
hahaha, are you serious dude???
Have you looked at some of the descriptions for redtapes videos? An example would be that Primus played for steve guttenburgs party in Austria.

A ha ha ha! This song is great!

I like it too, but the guitar is way too dissonant in my opionion.
Nasrudin06 3 years ago
the whole point of primus's style is to be shrill and dissonant man
afroboy389 3 years ago
It's Gov't Mule, not Primus.
And I was talking about the guitar, not the bass. The guitarist isn't from Primus (as far as I know xD).
Nasrudin06 3 years ago
Its a matter of opinion, but Warren Hayes plays blues and its meant to be dissonant. Then you add Claypool and its got an elevator music feel. -___-
Memetalman 3 years ago
That's why I wrote "in my opinion". ;)

This comment has received too many negative votes show
Les Claypool was court-ordered to do this show. He took the pics so he could show the judge in court the next day.
You want to know what he was sentenced to 4 hours of community service for?
He tried to proposition an elderly gentleman oustide of the Petaluma Arby's.
lawnkhan 3 years ago
well playing a gov't mule show has got to be the best sentence ever.
