A few of the apps stopped working, after updates they are improving. The assigned ringtones are no longer assigned to anyone in particular-they just decide for themselves. The touchscreen works when its good and ready to, have to press the side button twice-once I had to pull the battery out. And generally the whole thing is as slow as a wet week! My carrier won't do anything about it, S****** can't fix it cos its a G*****, and you can't talk to G***** except in forums!
Dude have u figured out how to set an MP3 from your library as a ringtone? I updated my nexus s (old one you got) to ics 4.0.3 and i really have no idea how to set a MP3 rintone yet... I would appreciate it if you could reply:)
Nexus S has the worst battery every. I just got this phone switched over from iphone and i dont know why you guyz hate iphone but honestly iphone is decades ahead of android. IPHONE JUST SIMPLY WORKS whereas all android phones and there apps are running wild out of control opening and consuming batter and memory when every they like. No matter how many times you close an app it always opens back up again!!! STUPID !!!
@daasguy99 maybe your just retarded and don't close your apps the correct way. Anyways, the system kills the app automatically after a while if it is running in the background.
OK I have a nexus s 4g from sprint when the hell am I gonna see ics 4.0on my phone without root or manual update...cusi hav all kinds of problems ...signal( biggestproblem),and other countless with gb
Looking at the two phones side by side, the Nexus S has a much brighter screen. Have you turned the brightness down on the Galaxy Nexus, or is the bigger screen not as bright?
The battery issues is due to Android OS being a big player when it shouldnt really even show up on the battery meter (as yours was) Im trying to find a fix now as are tones of others then your battery will be even better ;)
Hi, how long have you been using it? Have you had problems with wifi/carrier data issues? Because some people in the Google help forums said they have those problems along with major battery drain issues.
@samuraixyz oui j ai des problèmes : mes contacts n apparaissent plus lors de la réception d un appel seul le numéro apparait : plus de photo et plus de nom !!!très ennuyeux
@1TuBeR09 If you want updates, I would go with the one of the nexus phones in the future- those are the "true" android devices, because they are marketed by google; devices like the epic 4g exist because android is open source, and manufacturers want to make their own devices
@kyokeun I got the official OTA update last night and have been playing with it since.. there is unfortunately no 720p HD ;( be sure to check out my channel!
@kyokeun Nopes......i gt the ota......in fact now we are restricted to only 1 shooting mode.....480*720.......can't change it.........u do get panorama mode though.....
Nicely written, I am also running Android 4.0.3 on my Galaxy S Variant (thanks to rooting and devs) the build is called teamhacksung build 2 Android 4.0.3. The source core seems to have been taken from the Nexus S release of Ice Cream Sandwich. Code name for it is CM9.
