Very similar thing happened to me, dude! Some lowlifes took my purse while I was working and stole my 2001 Honda Civic, so I went and less than 30 hours later, found it, and luckily it wasn't in a chop shop and it ran great as always. I'm glad you found yours, even in pieces!

My car was stolen and I found it back a week later when a lady called cops that a car is parked outside her house for 4 days. I found a cell phone in the car. I tried calling cops that I have evidence that can lead to chop shop bust but they never answered my calls or contact me.
So I investigated myself and I found the guy's email, password, his credit card number, his son's name and where he goes to school, his wife's name, where she works and best of all I found his pictures. What can I do

I don't live in a big city, but it's not that small either, and I see an 80's Honda here maybe once every 3 months...There's probably 7 or 8 American cars from the 60's that still run and drive, in my neighborhood alone.

@TiconderogaX well it is a fact honda is one of the longest lasting cars. There's plenty of 85 ish civics around. And the 91 is the same generation as an 88. That gen goes from 88-91. My friends 2000 civic has 260,000 miles on it. My friends 93 hatch had 340,000. They last long.

Next rime if you're gonna spend all that money in a car protect it with a gps tracking device. I had mine done at Apocalypse Racing in Temecula CA. I can see my car in real time immediately where it is, address and direction of travel. I even get text if the car moves from where I parked it. Why wait till the cops find it all torn up. I learned the hard way 8 years ago. I hate thieves.

That happen to my friends car a couple years back, luckly installed a GPS tracker and found it using a laptop, call the cops, because the thief deny it was even their, the cops showup but didn't want to go in without probable cause to search, set the alarm off with the thief actually standing their playing off the fact the car was their, turn out to be several other stolen cars their, as I knew something was up, seeing it was a shop and the guy acted very weird, knew I had the right place.
at least its takin apart now you can drop a b18 from a junk yard or spend for a k20 swap and you have there cheery picker too right i would have took it b4 the cops came

My girlfriend who's a civilian and works for the government hates working at her new office becase its all civlians. Her old office was military officers. She sees a difference in how civilians act. I've never known anyone with a new car, import or domestic, who has problems with it...Actually I take that back, my aunts Toyota broke a month after she bought it....But the FACT is there are more older American cars on the road than imports. You are VERY "bias".

ALOT of people i know with older camaros and mustangs from the 60's have had problems left and right. the ones who have good ones, were barely driven, and kept in storage, or rebuilt. this is all facts from FRIENDS with these cars. im from both import and domestic crowds. i like both and own both. im not biased one bit.

But then again, I drive my car abusively also, and it's still going strong... I don't even think I've ever seen an '85 Honda. My friends girl friend had a civic that I thought was in the mid 80's, but it was a '91... That one broke down too =(.

@TiconderogaX well it is a fact honda is one of the longest lasting cars. There's plenty of 85 ish civics around. And the 91 is the same generation as an 88. That gen goes from 88-91. My friends 2000 civic has 260,000 miles on it. My friends 93 hatch had 340,000. They last long.

Because the girl with the '91 had 2 motor swaps on it since I've known her. She eventually gave up on it, and now she has a 2010 Honda civic, and even that one already has problems...And Honda has a good record of long lasting engine's, but not cars...Everything else breaks on them.

Next rime if you're gonna spend all that money in a car protect it with a gps tracking device. I had mine done at Apocalypse Racing in Temecula CA. I can see my car in real time immediately where it is, address and direction of travel. I even get text if the car moves from where I parked it. Why wait till the cops find it all torn up. I learned the hard way 8 years ago. I hate thieves.

That happen to my friends car a couple years back, luckly installed a GPS tracker and found it using a laptop, call the cops, because the thief deny it was even their, the cops showup but didn't want to go in without probable cause to search, set the alarm off with the thief actually standing their playing off the fact the car was their, turn out to be several other stolen cars their, as I knew something was up, seeing it was a shop and the guy acted very weird, knew I had the right place.

Me and my bro did a few pulls on the freeway when this car was still running. At that time i was at 14 psi, he was around 10-11ish on a coupe with an ls swap. Cars were almost even. the D was slightly faster at the top though.
stock ls, and stock d, except for rods and low comp. pistons.
