Hello! I can't get over all the wonderful things you are doing for these animals. I want to make a suggestion, if that's all right. Because my kitty has only one kidney, we have been very careful what we feed her. We have researched a lot of pet foods for her, and finally decided on Wellness brand CORE formula. We also feed her the same brand of (grain free) canned food with it to help keep her hydrated.
I don't know if they sell it where you are, but there must be something like it there. It has no wheat, soy or corn; all of which are allergens and not so good for cats. It also uses no animal by-products. I believe finding a grain free food like that might be very good for your kitty's health. It might be worth researching, at the very least. I hope the problem is not a kidney problem, too. Thank you for all the good work you do.
I really hope that alera will be okay <3 What you do for him and the other animals in your care is wonderful, and you seem to have a great vet too. Please keep us updated - I'll be watching the live cam aswell. :)
