Positively LOVE this song ... so simple, yet so beautiful ... found this film difficult to watch considering the harsh reality of the story, and that Jimmy really did slap our heroine Doris (according to the Hotch book) ... then again Cagney always was a hard no compromise guy. @manfreadfilms Well .. I'm with you .... this is perfectly simple and great. Doris and a piano ... perfect. She really knows how to interpret a song ! Yes... thats what he said in the book. They also cut out the rape scene ... I've always wondered about that. A very hard movie to watch. And I'm sure it brought back some bad memories for Doris.
