I know the sounds were added in post production, but are those the sounds the tricorder makes? Because I've never heard a ratchet sound so accurate.

I built the Tricorder from an HMS body and a FedSurplus door, as far as I remember. It has actually been years since I sold that piece. The electronics were also provided by FedSurplus. The sound was built in, but in this video I had switched it off and added the sound in post production.
