@ichaffee1 (From Wickipedia) "The post-"Forever Changes" albums were never really well received by fans and critics alike. The sound had changed, and Arthur was being accused of trying to imitate Jimi Hendrix, especially after his death."
Ah....this is what I call music!!!!!! These 2 set the pace for all future rockers! F .U. ex wife....for throwing out all my 60's vinyl...you bitch!!!!
@merelyapparent -Lee did not die till recently (2003 ?) What makes you say" he thought he was going to die" ? Did you know him personally ? Turn us all on to your sources of info. Did you read a book ? You need to read the poster I responded to in order to get your question answered. Not every famous musician asks for or wants fame. No need to get defensive over phrases or semantics.
@chainrelease That's your opinion ... have you ever asked one of the Doors? I think you'd get a different answer. Love owned the Sunset Strip. The best band by a mile.
@kikibortok --could have been his management. Or the strange lyrics in most of the songs. His was more psychedelic that most of the other bands. There are those of us who will always rate Love the highest. The masses don't always get the message.
Reminds me the voice of jimi hendrix o.o

One of my favorite songs, and just to find out Arthur Lee had a version was one thing, let alone a solid gold version like this. Amazing.

If only songs like this were recorded with modern days' equipment and studio technology, they would have torn down the fucking walls.

You are absolutely right.
It is funny how certain bands are remembered, and others are not.
If anyone reads early issues of Rolling Stone, for example, they slagged most of the Doors albums, yet the Doors are much better known than Love.
Or look at the Creation. They were bowing guitars long before Jimmy Page.
Life is funny.

How can a man like Arthur Lee never get the Fame he should? He changed the musics by influencing bands like the Doors and more.

Because the Doors were far better, that´s the simple truth. Much more real good songs.
