  • Why not make these power outlets available at the generator? This system forces us to purchase these adapters from you. Another "All is one" pedal board that is anything but. It's simple (and cheap) to make one unit about the size of an effects box that has a dozen switchable outlets (including 2 110 outlets) with a 110 power cord that plugs into an outlet, no wall warts or power strips anywhere in sight. It cost me $80 in parts.

  • @MrUltraworld Con't. It's the simplest thing to make, yet you make musicians think it's voodoo & force them to buy these things. Make something that is all housed in one box and don't charge a fortune for it.

  • @MrUltraworld hello. Sorry if you have misunderstood what we're trying to do here. The system is modular, not an 'all in one'. You only buy what you need and if you add more pedals then you can add more solutions. If all you want to power is 5 Boss pedals, then the Generator itself comes with 2 daisy chains so you don't need anything else. If you want different voltages and isolate a bunch of pedals, then you can do that too. Great to hear you've got your own solution. All the best

  • @TheGigRigDaniel Do you think the system is worth $1,500.00? I think that's an awful lot of money to switch 8 effects on or off. It costs almost as much as the effects. It's not in the reach of hard working touring musicians that don't make a lot of money. Yet that's who it's being targeted for.

  • Hi @MrUltraworld firstly there are 10 loops and the price depends on the system that works for you. As to 'is it worth it?" I guess you'd have to ask the hundreds of touring professionals that use our systems. a Pro-14 costs $1049, bundles including patch cables and Distributors start from $1299. There are 10 effects loops, programable pre boost buffer an post effects loop volume, 2 remote switches, 2 programable isolated outputs, aux out for silent tuning, etc, and built like a tank.

  • so it does so much more than just switch effects. Check out the artist quotes online at TheGigRig(dot)com and see what the hard working touring musicians are saying about it. We're not suggesting that the switching systems are for everyone, but if you use a number of effects and use combinations and need a level of control over them, then out systems tick a lot of boxes for a lot of people. There's 3 of our systems on stage with Porcupine Tree, why not ask the stage tech what he thinks of them?

  • Do you have to strip the ends of the leads when putting them into the distributer?

  • @rockerverb08 nope, just cut the cable to length, and push the cable into the Distributor. When you push down on the tabs the cable is pierced and connected into the circuit ;)

  • daniel the generator is made out of Plastic or Metal ???

  • @gugaporta26 Generator is made form rigged ABS plastic. cheers

  • hallo brother :)

which one better timefactor or nova delay ??

confuse to choose one here :(]

    thanks :)

  • @ghaibboy It depends.

Do you like playing U2-y kinda rhythmic delay stuff?

  • hey, could TheGigRig Generator supply be used on its in a daisychain setup? atm i have a cheap power supply daisy chained through about 7 normal stomp pedals and im getting bad noise. im wondering would the generator have the same problem if it was set up the like this on it own?

  • Yes, it can be plugged into a normal daisy chain, it comes with 2 in the box

  • This thing sells for $399.00!! I just bought a Lexicon MX400 for $299.00 and it completely blows this thing out of the water. This thing sounds mushy compared to the Lexicon. What am I going to do with all these delay titles anyway? The MX400 is also dual stereo! It does so much more. Just looking for a delay? Im glad I sold my Time Factor. it is just a over priced mushy stomp box.

  • @AldridgeHalenFreak Mushy? You must have been doing something wrong.

  • BTW are you running the standard config/opamps with the KoT?

  • yes, this is a completley stadard KoT except for the seperate ins and out for both circuits.

  • what do you think of the stonebender is it good

  • its my favourite Tone Bender clone. The Thro-Bak stuff is really great. Its more racaus than a normal FF, you can hear its pretty aggresive even in this little clip.

  • thanks im buying it for my birthday and i cant wait just wanted someone else's view on the pedal

  • no probs. For FF its Analog Man hands down but for Tone Bender circuits its Thro-Bak for sure. His stuff is great.

    Happy Birthday!

  • I think its really good but it defianltey benefits from being in a WetBox. Replica is really nice but i haven't compared them side by side, and you really need to get them together if your going to do a proper comparison. Ears are amazing at analysis, but they have no memory, so A/B'ing them is the only way.

  • Daniel how do you like the Nova delay...have you compared it to the Replica by any chance?
