  • RIP Winston Riley

  • remember the Ben Sherman shits and Trevira suits. guys looked classy and the girls looked bril

  • When I was a kid I used to wonder what he was saying at the start. But now I'm an adult I haven't got a f*cking clue.

  • This was the number one song when I was born...but I'm just hearing it for the first time today.

  • @bikri08

    Haha...same here mate!

  • I was 5 or so the 1st time I heard this awesome tune...my big brother had the 45 and I would dance around having the greatest time. Now at the age of 47 while watching a British flick named "East is East" there it was! Double Barrel in a nightclub scene and I was so excited I had to look it up and here I am...still dancing around!

  • This was number 1 when I was born, love it

  • Heard this on Radio6 a couple of weeks ago, and said to one of the guys at work, I still have this on the original 45rmp single! And he looked at like WTF? X¬D

  • Memories of working the night shift in the spring and summer of 1971, with the radio blasting on the PA system in the warehouse and the store after it closed.

  • Epic. This came out about the same time as In the Summertime, I'm Gonna Run Away From You and Maggie May. I was a little Boot Boy down the youth club with a crush on a girl who wore knee length boots and a mini skirt. Unfortunately she fancied one of the youth workers who looked like MIck Robinson from Magpie; fucking Trog.
