  • sounds like there in hell

  • I believe 1/8th mile in this vid. 1/4 mile record is 254mph, 5.70 secs.

  • Jeffman the new mustang wasn't a mistake just for the fact it kicked chevys camros ass in every fuckin thing

  • @hilde198881 no it didnt buddy lmao. the camaro stomped that shit

  • @hilde198881 True enough... But I would've loved to own one were it independent rear suspension. If they could swing that on economy sedans 20 years ago, they should have no problems putting it on a fuckin' sports car... But they didn't. Because heaven forbid the car should cost less than $5k more.

  • Aint Never gonna see numbers like this on a Supra motor.

  • @ladygodia You'll also never see this turn, unlike a Supra with a Supra motor.

  • @jeffman3 why would a drag car need to turn? If you need to go fast and take turns we invented the Corvette for that.

  • @ladygodia My point was that a Supra is not a dedicated strip car. Corvette is a shit track car, to be entirely honest. Only reason it can keep up with anything European is because it is overwhelmingly fast to accelerate coming out of the turn- And SL65, say, is still going to be faster. Porsche 911GT3 RS is a much better track car at that, and runs significantly less power.

I'm American and I love my truck, but damn our supercars blow. Sports cars are great. The new Mustang was a mistake

  • @ladygodia Haha... Wow. You're going to call me a Ricer? My "fleet" is primarily American motors- Chrysler, actually, so German. But the flagship is a '98 Jeep Grand Cherokee. The car I'm going to guess led you to calling me a ricer? That would be a '91 Toyota Camry that has been in three accidents and had the muffler torn off in one. I put a glasspack under there becuase the car bluebooks at $300. I'm not going to spend nearly that much to repair damage. You want a walkaround of the fleet?

  • @ladygodia I mean, I have no problems taking video of it. Really, I don't.

Don't blame me for the failures of the American Auto manufacturers. There hasn't been any real innovation in 30 years. Brand loyalty has doomed our nation to an early death.

I'll stick to my "ricer" that doesn't go fast or try to, but it'll pull 35mpg with five people in it. Yeah, that's the ticket.

  • @jeffman3 3.81 @ 198 show me an import that can do that. If you can't than I highly suggest you stfu.

  • @ladygodia You haven't seen Pac Performance's 20B drag car obviously.

  • @borgcrickett sure did slow as shit.

  • @ladygodia Show me a street driven Camaro that can, hmm?

    Oh, wait...

  • @jeffman3 because Ford opted for a live axle in the rear end instead of a proper independent suspension setup. Why? To save $1k on the sale price for the vehicle. What had potential to pace the real world-class race cars instead turned into a piece of crap that's impossible to work on.

    Just like every other Ford.

    Ever.

  • im not sure but i think thats the same vette i saw at pinks all out up in kent washington a pacific raceways

  • Reminds me of the time I dipped my nuts in coconut oil!

  • @5191keith I not sure about that , but the World Fastest Door slammer category is held buy John Zappia's Monaro, which by the way has a steel body from and original road car and not a moulded plastic body like every other . Take a look

  • No not at all. However, the guy I was talking to was a real asshole and deserved to be ridiculed.

  • Teleportation shouldnt be allowed in drag racing

  • Guy needs a Rocket License LOL Nice Run!!!!!!!

  • Here in Australia we only run 1/4 and nothing else the tracks have never been shortened due to the death of the American driver and why should they be. Surely the answer wasn't to shorten the drag length rather lengthen the tracks, due to one very very unfortunate accident they alter rules to suit. Good god, I'm surprised you can even race a car if that's the case.

    Maybe install ejector seats.

  • @BrianDewy In Australia we have many 1/8 mile tracks such as Warick, Gladstone, Mackay etc, There are many good reason for 1/8 mile tracks & the biggest reason behind them is cost, smaller clubs can afford to build these tracks & put on awsome events, It never stopped Victor Bray showing up as I remember he defended a title against one very famous American Tin Indian at the Mackay 1/8 mile track. Great event.

  • @33deebee Oh ok,wasn't aware of them to be honest , seems pointless when everyone is only interested in 1/4 time to benchmarks all standards back to it to see what their cars are compared to. 200meters aint much to run down, my driveway is longer than that

  • @JimmyJunkster nice reply

  • This is 1/8th mile, an average 7.00 car on the quarter mile gets at least 200mph

  • let up 100 ft before the finish

  • someone should tell these ladies to pull their dads dicks out of their asses and find a longer race track! i could run that length in 2 seconds, with my dads cock up my ass while giving my grandpa a bj even grandma couldnt dish out. pussies!

  • @buckybeaver01 lol wouldn't that be a sight.

  • THIS IS 1/8 MILE. SHIT

  • @franlavalle amen. Its useless. Here i am watching a 3 second run - thinking that its a quarter mile, like most drags - and then read a comment to say its that crappy 1/8 mile stuff

  • I go by his house and his trucks and traliers every day....

  • Comment removed

  • how can this be correct when there are vids of 6 second cars doin over 220mph trap speeds

  • @arrancooper69 this is 1/8 mile, not 1/4 mile.

  • @gertnood ok my bad :-)

  • the timing is wrong or something, if u count yourself it was over 5 secs

  • Fuck me nearly 200mph in just over 3 secs! Give the man a G-suit!

  • man I love the cars in ADRL but wish they would do a quarter mile, this 8th mile stuff sucks

  • REAL MEN SETTLE THINGS IN THE 1/8 MILE

  • @hottyboyy

    no the 1/4

  • 1/8mile...

    Boring...

  • @ClassicDragRace Could you hold that thing straight for 1/4 mile?? lol

  • i race my jr. in 1/8 mile and i set a record at my home track

  • is this a 1/8mile race??

  • People are pissing and moaning about running only 1/18 mile. I am amazed at the ability to get to 181 miles in 3.81 seconds! My car gets to, what, 35 miles in 3.81 seconds. I guess it depends on what you're looking for.

  • Yo Daren21. You are right about V8s making the biggest horsepower and stuff. But no V8 has beat the JUN 1991 300ZX world landspeed record at over 260mph at the Utah Salt Flats. The JUN Z first hit over 260mph (over 419km/h), then it ran over 267mph (425.740km/h) with the VG30DETT

  • @Flame11boyy sorry but your wrong... look up nurburgrings fastest lap times from a standard production car, the new corvette made the Nissan GTR look stupid... and i belive the ACR VIPPER ownes or close to ownes the lap record around there for a street tuned vehicle, And yes im aware its a V10. In truth though Porche is the greatest 6cl vehicle and that really is fact. nothing from Japan has ever touched its racing performance, And jap tuner cars are not race cars, they are built with no rules.

  • @Darran21; Okay, you're kinda missing the stop point here. The new GTR is a comfortable, flexible car you can drive everyday. Neither the Viper ACR or Corvette ZR1 are. The only real challenger to the GTR is the Porsche 911. It's comfortable, fast, and capable. the ZR1 and ACR are over-the-top creations with numberplates, and it's only a matter of time, before the new GT2 takes over.

  • Why do these videos always start an engine war, Im buying an R34GTR, Im not a rich man by any streach but am lucky enough to comfortably afford one... But seriously why the fuck are jap import diehards such DICKHEADS, There have been great engines made on every platform, 4cl, 6c,l 8cl, 10c,l 12cl, rotory, etc.. But we cant argue that the v8 rules in any form of motorsport or am i missing something, F1, DTM, IRL, CHAMPCAR, NASCAR, DRAGRACING, JGTC, list goes on..

  • @Darran21 Track? vs. Japas. V8's are designed mainly for the power and long straights. i would love to see them vs. a Japa on the track or in a mountain range, yes they are great. but your over doing it.

  • WRC?

  • 1/8th mile?

  • Shit, that's fast......just enough time to actually turn your head and watch it i imagine! Cool.

  • FUCKKK MMMEE!!!!

  • i dont understand jason scrugg says he always lost to scotty canon but when i lived in south carolina he wuped scottys ass so bad he packed up and left

  • pro mods on a 1/8 mile, what's the point

  • @77camaro I know, right? That's what outlaw cars are for, pro mods = too much powah

  • @carbdcobra this is soo true! no point at all running them in the 1/8th mile

  • @77camaro whats the point in running a promod in the quarter mile? i have been around promods all my life and if they are going to move around, its gonna be in the before halftrack, and as a driver you have to be on your game on the tree unlike in the 1/4 when you have another 660 to catch them. And its easier on parts.. so why run them in the 1/4 genius

  • look out for SHAWN HELFER next season in that 1969 corvette!!

  • for the comment "zunetrav4" made, thats the 1/8th mile time not the 1/4mile "jackass"

  • This is clearly 1/8th mile. Titan motorsport has video here on youtube of a 2JZ running a 4.008@181.45 with a 207cu in Japanese straight 6.. . . .

  • @americandumass2likeu

Although making a 2J go that fast is obviously impressive, what the "import crowd" always fails to address when touting import vs. domestic stats, is weight. An ADRL Pro Mod TT weighs 400-500# more than a Pro Import car. There are minimum weight rules set by the organizations. Add 500# to the Titan car and see what happens. If people want to compare apples to apples, it's 1,500 hp vs. 3,000 hp. I build JDM race cars for a living.

  • 1/8 mile for sure - even the trap speed gives it away =)

  • incredible grip, and incredible g force for driver. must have balls to do that

  • @boobmasteris You know what they say, racing is the only sports you need 2 balls to play in.

  • @boobmasteris after that his balls must be in his stomach because of the gforce.

  • @boobmasteris indeed... that would damn near rip your face off...

  • You can tell that rplende dosen't know the first thing about ADRL drag racing. So sir, I must tell you that the record has been broken many times since Jason made that run. I think the current Pro/Extreme record is 3.72 seconds in the 1/8th mile at well over 207 mph. How do I know? Well, I happen to be a Founding Member of the ADRL. So if any of you want to talk shit about drag racing, I can talk it right back at ya.

  • the 1/8th mile record in P/E is 3.66 at 207MPH (Jason Scruggs)

  • it's a 1/8 mile not 1/4 mile

  • 1-2-3 runs at most then its a rebuild.

  • and how does a rotary stand up? the need a rebuild each pass when u get big power from them.

  • my god that would suck lol

  • The clock was wrong that was about 5.8 or 6.8 not 3.8! Check it out on the timer on the bottom of the youtube screen. The race starts at about 20 second mark and finishes somewhere around 26.

  • It's 3.8 because they run the eigth, not the quarter. If you notice they let up well before the quarter, and their parachutes are open shortly after.

  • 1/8 mile jack ass, your lookin at the 1/4..

  • what a mean machine

  • I seen something on the Science channel about a rail gun, why not have rail races? going right out into fucking space! or around planets or even solar systems? Nascar would be badass. LMAO

  • Look ''rotary'' wankels aren't good engines. for drag racing is only 3 components needed: 1.) V8 at least, over 5000-6000ccm, sometimes more than 10,000ccm, 2.) RWD only, ''Not FWD or AWD''!!!! and 3.) nitro-methane fuel 4.) don't write stupids. Have a nice day!

  • you dont know crap. yes, we all prefer a supercharged nitro v8. but the rotary engines are quite good, and make a nice sound as well

  • so wat? sound is sound, not mechanical characteristic moron. Lamborg. also have nice sound, so wat?? i can kick Lamborgs. ass any day with 600+rwhp Supra.

Mazda Furai also have great sound and i think similar sound like F1 engines, but it's still 4-rotor engine...using oil more than fuel.

  • HA! He has a tiny penis! What the fuck's a 'lamborg'?! If you enjoy visiting the world famous, center of gay anal in Norway.

Supra eh? That means you must be a fat 40 year old who couldn't afford his mid-life-crisis Ferrari. Ah well, I understand though - there's not much else to choose if you want an early 90s, soulless, shit sounding heap of twat. You go girl!

  • Look, you need learn more than you think, so shut up. I'm someone who MUST tell u that you don't know anything; what is car, custom made, thermodynamical processes, metallurgy, mechanical and more...Ferrari's engineers are very good, but not the best, everyone can make 6000ccm engine with 8 cyls which can revs 8500rpm, but how many people know to construct engine which must endure over 5 bars of pressure with 100s liters of nitro-methane for 2,500 miles ???

  • Everyone knows how, it's hardly rocket science.

  • It's engineering, and a few people from NHRA actually knows.

  • But half a million people would also know if they gave a shit about drag racing - No automotive engineering is anywhere near an advanced level, they only slightly skillfull aspect is keeping it within a budget.

  • ''if they gave'' it's relative, forget this. if you have money you can anything, agree with that.

  • win, it doesn't matter weather the engine is a 4cyl 6cyl 8cyl, when it comes to 6 and under time slips in the 1/4 mile, the V8 is the breadwinner, im not saying that a 4 or 6 cyl cant have a timeslip under 6 seconds, im saying that when it comes down to the ammount of power needed to attain those timeslips, a V8 and up are the only engines with the displacement thats the most reasonable. AND im not a american musscle person, i love imports, my favorite car is a supra so that comment isn't biased

  • lol you dont NEED a V8 to drag race. There are 6 and 7 second 4cyl and 6cyl cars out there.

    steve papadakis

    brent rau

    john shepard

    vinny ten

    and this: /watch?v=ZoD_lzmPloY

  • look man, i know that and i also know that if you want do something you need power and torque. a 4 or 6 zyl engine with max 4000ccm can't give full potencial like 7, 8, 9, or 10L V8 engines. learn somethinng about thermodynamical processes. I have Supra so what fastest Supra have 1600rwhp+ and doing 6seconds. a most powerful V8 have over 13000ccm and power bigger than 8000 rwhp+ with 3second time!!!

  • I agree, It just looked like you said that you absolutely need one

but, yes they are more power efficient

  • @2jzgtejza80 Thats correct.

  • Rotary, seriously shut the fuck up. Rotary engines are just as dirty as any other before you go banging on about that clean shit, the fact you have to resort to petty insults about kids mothers and petty sex jokes just proves you truely are a fucking half-witted inbred.

Btw you go on about drag racing lacks skill? Ok then hot shit, you hold a 1-2000hp car in a straight line full throttle with pretty much no traction control.

  • Rotaryman have you ever heard of Cosworth engineering?

  • rotaryman2144 "best of":

ive nearly completed university for mechanical engineering.

omg thats so fucking difficult .... for the iq challenged LOL and only 2 secs faster than the quickest rotary

then fucking mid 4s u dipshit nigger.

go suck KKKs cock then take it in ur bitchy black ass

LOl ur a fucking idiot and ur mums a slut and she a whore

You kid's are so much fun but still annoying, to bad your parents don't know what your writing..

  • 1/8th mile trap speed to slow

  • lol this is not quarter mile....... enlighten me is this some different track length? coz theres no fkn way a pissy funny car is gonna break the 5 sec barrier. only like very few topfuelers have gotten into the 4s.. this can't be 400m. prob 200 ahaha

  • this aint the record no more my dad races with this guy named darren sanders he built the chassie for a blown mustand in kentucky that does 3:71 at 198 mph as far as i know this is the fastest pass i know of

  • Tzr... that really is an uneducated comment about 'any car can go that fast on an 1/8th mile'. The majority of acceleration in drag racing is over by the 1/8th mile, a top fuel dragster will typically be at 250mph and will only gain another 70mph by the 1/4 mile. The hard part is overcoming the air resistance once the car is at the higher speed. Get yourself to a drag strip, enjoy the power, noise and smell, plus bone up on the facts and data.

  • thats 8th mile, almost any car can go that fast in 8th mile, if it was a fast car, it would do that in quater mile

  • Remember 1/8 mile drags at ''Two Wells'' Adelaide years ago ...

  • real men turn....dude go back to letting your uncle ass rape you sideways. That is a sick ass run. I guess we should let oj turn so he could prove himself to be a man....owned

  • real men shut the fuck up.

You try driving this car, i bet you wouldn't even know how. i respect ALL racing, not sit on youtube and say shit about people i wouldnt say to thier faces.

    keep your mouth shut bitch.

  • Ok mate a circuit racer such as 2008 wouldnt know how to drive a fast car in astraight line? clue up buddy. theres no skill in drag racing LOL ROFL what SKILL? huh ? driving in a straight line? omg thats so fucking difficult .... for the iq challenged. as he pointed out b4 real men turn. circuit racing is where its at not dipshit boring less than 5 seconds of fun dragracing kthnx bye good drivers race circuit duds go drag.

  • Learn your shit..

First in your comment before this you say few top fuel cars run 4's, they ALL ran 4.40's back when they used to run the full 1320ft. now the dragsters run 3.80's-3.90's at the 1000 ft. so obviously you dont know shit about what your talking shit about so i can proceed to tell you to shut the fuck up.

No one cares what you think, your some no life australian prick who searches vids of things he doesnt even like. get a life..

Coming from a 15 year old kid, how do you feel?

  • LOl ur a fucking idiot and ur mums a slut and she a whore, 1/8 mile, and only the fastest top fuelers are runing in the 4s. most are low 5s. and why the fuck would i know about the measurements of hte track in feet dipshit im aus we dont use those retarded measurements of 12inches = 1foot LOL fucking retarded americans no wonder the topfuelers here in aus are faster, u all got no clue. with ur fucking texas burgers and small pin dicks , i bet u have a dick and pussy u little 15 year old sexslave

  • And didnt say very few i said few. more are in low 5s to high 4s then fucking mid 4s u dipshit nigger.

go suck KKKs cock then take it in ur bitchy black ass

  • "only like very few topfuelers have gotten into the 4s" -rotaryman2144

So now you sound even dumber because not only are you losing an argument with a 15 year old black kid, but your resorting to mom/sex jokes like its the 4th grade all over again.

Am i supposed to care that your racist? Why would you even look at my page let alone my myspace?

And I just came from an NHRA Event here in VA today and they were running low 3.90s in the 1000. Funny car was running 4.10ish.

    Learn your shit.

  • Hey Mate you must have a lot of racing experience funny thing is there's no video of you doing anything but posting bullshit comments your experience is in your head made up,ya you can write back post a video of you doing something maybe skate boarding cause that's easy to...

  • Do i need videos of me racing?

  • Real motorheads have respect for all facets of racing. I doubt you've ever worked on a car mate, even a rotary from toyworld.

  • orly? u can have ur fucked up doubts and assumptions they're yours. But remember this, assumptions are the mothers of all fuck ups.

I have worked on more cars then most, ive nearly completed university for mechanical engineering.

anywho what is to respect about this? A high budget, 10 000$ per metre ran. LOL and only 2 secs faster than the quickest rotary. to bad shitty v8s make bad circuit cars aye.

  • Are you 12 years old? You love to pull your own chain which usually means you don't know shit, and you've proven it. Why are you studying mech eng and not automotive eng if you're into cars? Do some research into racing history and find that V8's have been extremely successful circuit engines, as much as any other configuration. And 2 secs in a drag race is a huge margin. You need to grow up and open you're tiny little mind and stop jerking your little knob over fast 4's and rotary mags.

  • Errr im not a grease monkey. Im someone who will be designing rotating assemblies new motors etc.

  • You're not a grease monkey but you've worked on more cars than most??! Uh, ok.. It's time for you to shut up now WANKel.

  • ur such a dipshit, Grease monkey means someone who does it for a living , fucking retarded american. Dyno tuning, changing parameters involves grease? hardest part of building a car is the tuning. it makes a difference between power or garbage. and We studied efficiencys of engines, rotaries are the most efficient out of all internal combustion engines.

  • I'm not an American, what was that you said about "assumption"?? How does dyno tuning NOT involve grease? It's not just computers dick its testing different plugs, injection systems, carbs, oils you name it. You may learn this one day. And if u want efficiency get an electric car. You may not have to rebuild it every 6 months like a rotary. Mate with your attitude to engineering you couldn't even design a decent turd. Know when you have been owned and learn. I'm out.

  • efficient how? in making the most power out of cubic inches maybe. But efficient as in reliability i don't think so. Would rather have a car that could do 100 passes before i would have to tear it apart again.

  • @rotaryman2144 Your ability to utilize the English language is simply horrid.

  • You're ability to cowardly criticize my use of the English langauge is simply pretentious.

  • "You're" = you are. Your is the word you were looking for. Once again, you fail. Don't give up!!!!

  • Pretentious.

  • Your stupidity knows no bounds. I'll leave you to it.........

  • Pretentious.

  • Uneducated. Two can play this game........

  • An inability to "utilize" the english language doesn't mean an inability in knowledge retard.

  • Yeah 2 can play it but you suck it so if i were you i'd sit down.

  • at it*

  • @brin3535

The most important thing in drag racing is punctuation.

  • @rotaryman2144 But they have more limited output power capabilities than normal engines, that use the Otto-Trinkler circulation process.Rotaries are very compact as much as i have seen them, but they are not good for drag applications.

  • Please nobody listen to this rotary wanker!!! he is a pretentious fuck stick!!! Please dont assume all Australians are like him!!! We are a good country I promise, its morons like this guy that degrade and stereotype a nation. I am also an engineer and he is destroying our image as well.

    Rotaryman2144- FUCK YOU

  • Damn that's fast. Our Firebird here in Finland is 1.5 seconds slower. But of course we don't have a blower, nitrous, turbo or pro stock engine:D

  • 1/8 mile = lame

  • Exactly.

  • @apancher 198 in 1/8 mile = not lame

  • 198 mph? no. 1/8 mile? yes

  • @apancher Considering that he did a 1/8th mile at 198 MPH, amazing.

  • @apancher That was a good run! Besides Rockingham Dragway is a 1/4 mile track. This is the first race that I have seen at the Rock that was an 1/8.

  • @apancher

Yeah, getting to 198 in 3.81 is lame.

Get a fucking clue Vin Diesel.

  • no the finish line is at the orange cone at 0:25 and i got just under 4 seconds

  • Wrong. I just went to an IHRA event where Pro Mod was running 1/4 mile like they should be and there were NO apparent reasons that they should be shutting off at half track. Every car either went straight down the track or got out of shape at 100 feet and clicked it off.....

  • you guys are gay its a 1/8th mile track

  • Yeah, and 1/8th mile racing sucks.

For jr. dragsters, it's fine cuz no one cares about them anyway.

  • manero

  • Yeah, I watched these guys alot. Scruggs, Tutturrow, Hagan, Smith in Radford, Va running high 3.8's at best.

  • ADRL only runs 1/8th mile for safety reasons, good move, still exciting. Anybody who thought that was a 1/4 mile pass please don't tell anyone you are a drag racing fan because it gives us a bad name.

  • That, also wear and tear. These cars get so hot even in the 8th mile. I mean, when you get 800+ cubic inches, we are talking about dinner plate pistons. We had the al-anabi race team test-n-tune today because St. Louis is a terrible track in general. 3 cars, for6 hours. They had their newest car they picked up from bickle yesterday made it's first run, topeka is in for a suprise guys, it's a tight looking car.

  • Interestingly enough they crash just as often in the 1/8 mile as they do in the 1/4.

  • It's OBVIOUSLY an 1/8th mile, it's only doing 198 Mph at the end... a Nitro fueller does around 335 Mph pulling a sub 4 second pass on a 1/4 mile.

  • It's not even a quarter mile anymore :(

  • 3.81?! shit!

  • ya thats what i ment he raced 8th and its a 1/4 mile track

  • Uh no. It's a 1/4 track but they were racing 1/8th. You can see them pull the chute well before the boards, and the boards were lit with times before they passed them. Also top fuel/funny car that runs 4s in the quarter trap over 300.

  • u clow the track is 1/4 but they ran to the 8th

  • it's an 1/8 mile drag race.......... uchiha918

  • wrong.... so you're the stupid ass... the 1/4 mile would've been all the way down to where the times were posted, if you watch carefully, there is a set of orange traffic cones which signals 1/8 mile

  • its 1/8th mile

  • how the FUCK can you get 3.98 @198MPH over a QUARTER MILE??? Top Fuel drags do a 1/4 in 5-6 seconds at 330MPH!!!

    Idiot

  • umm ever heard of 1/8 mile?
