thought that straight talk phones use the verizon network? Or is it only the new straight talk gsm phones that use at&t and the others still use verizon?
@NassimHarameinVedas straight talk phones that have a "g" in the model number run on at&t those that have a "c" run on verizon. g=sim card c=cdma the new precedent android runs on sprint network.
@topcitycomputer - right . . . Verizon Thunderbolt is what I'm using now, and these android phones are amazing . . . the Nokia E71 is like an Amish horse buggy compared to 4G Android phones let alone the new dual core Tegra 2 smartphones . . . As soon as the HTC Vigor is released, I'm getting it . . . if You can afford to pay $145/month for service then Verizon is the best although they don't have the unlimited data plan anymore, I'm grand-mother-homeboyed with Verizon unlimited ; )

uuummmm what all this gsm and cdma stuff. and when you have a "unlocked" phone that means what.? it can be takin to anyservice to be turned on? or all the apps its capable of using or things it can do, its not enabled? (like some service carriers disable certain apps or capabilities a phone has)
Straight Talk. The main reason is that Virgin Mobile is on the Sprint Network, which is OK but not as wide spread as Verizon or AT&T coverage. Look at Virgin Mobile Coverage map and you will see that the coverage is limited to major population and major highways. If you get of the main freeway, you may have problems with coverage with Virgin Mobile. Straight Talk is on GSM Network. You will get better coverage on the GSM Network. Also, CDMA Network (Verizon uses) is very good coverage.

This is an amazing phone for only $45 a month. It does everything a smartphone that costs twice the amount will do. For less than I used to spend on basic calling and texting I have a full smartphone service.
Hey, could you guys tell me how much you paid for yours, and, can I just buy this phone at wal mart instead, it's a lot cheaper than getting it off the web site.
OMG! I love this phone! But what i love the most is the fact that i can couple it with Straight Talk. I can't believe you only 45 bucks a month and you get unlimited talk text and data. That's awesome. And from what was shown on this video, its pretty fast. Its so cheap but it still has amazing coverage. If i get this phone, i'll be paying less than half of what my friends pay for a smart phone.
@shmnum1fan Yeah I know what you mean, all of my friends are on smartphones but they all pay close to 100 bucks. How is that feasible in this economy? And with Straight Talk, you don't even have to make any sacrifices because it's still completely unlimited and you can use a smartphone that works JUST AS WELL
Nice review man. I like this phone, or at least the sound and look of it. Especially having to choose between this phone and the nokia 6790, which is also now available for straight talk. If there is one reservation I harbor, it's that there aren't any cdma smart phones available for straight talk.
@Jembalinokid Don't forget about the samsung r810c! It's the daddy of all prepaid phones, works a bit like a droid in terms of all that you can do with it but it only costs 45 bucks a month with no hidden fees so obviously it's a better choice lol.
can you watch youtube videos on this phone
??

@98ls1camaroz28 Well, since it's a GSM only phone even if you unlock it you can't use it on Verizon....
