  • do you breed macaws? If you breed hyacinths........id be really happy lol =)

  • @birdsrule66 No, in fact Tiki isn't my parrot.

  • Currently they have 3 singers and a fiddle player. The 3 singers are Chloe Agnew (The younger blonde). Lisa Kelly (The older Brunette) And Lynn Hilary (The young dark Brunette). And my favorite Mairead Nesbitt, The "Tinkerbell" fiddle player :-)

  • Either way, Yes she is gorgeous! I love my B&G!!!! And Isis (My beautiful pretty bird) likes Celtic Woman too :-) You didn't answer my question though lol. Which one is your favorite? I am learning more and more of Mairead's reels and I'm having a blast doing it :-)! And Isis seems to enjoy my fiddle playing as well (She actually laughs at me when I mess up lol) I really do think parrots are probably the most awesome pet a person can have. Such commitment they require and enjoyment the give!!

  • @mattxr2i Sorry to disappoint you but I don't know their names. I do love them, though. They have those dried peaches at the Grocery Outlet and Tiki just loves them.

  • OMG!!!! After I'm done typing this comment I am totally sending you a friend invite!!! You have a B&G Macaw (like me) AND you like Celtic woman!?!?!? You are awesomness!!! So which one is your favorite? Mine is Mairead (I'm a fiddle player as well :-) Come by my channel sometime! I wish I had more thumbs to put up!!!!

  • @mattxr2i I hate to disappoint you but I made this video of Tiki who belongs to a friend of mine. Isn't she just beautiful!

  • That bird is American their! he doesn't like when shows are interupted with a commercial or whatever!

  • @Maxrock9 It did appear she noticed when the music stopped, didn't it!?

  • We have a couple of these at Adelaide zoo in Australia, they have zoo keepers who fly them around the whole zoo every day, beautiful creatures, and they are really friendly.

  • @Plawranc They are beautiful, especially the young ones whose feathers are perfect and fresh.

In Santa Barbara, there were several that escaped and they would land in a huge tree across the street to eat the walnuts.

Of all the parrots, I find them to be the most intimidating because of their HUGE beaks!

  • XD thanks

  • I'm glad you liked it!

  • What a beautiful animal. Our Lord created some wonderful things!

  • Yes, he has. Blue and Gold Macaws have incredible markings and nobody will ever be able to convince me Tiki evolved from a Big Bang! Have you seen Frostie dance yet?

  • Yes I have, he is so neat! He looks very healthy and happy, and no sign of feather picking that I have seen some birds have. I can tell you take excellent care of your animals and love them a lot.

  • Frostie picks if he is given the wrong food. It was determined by a vet he is allergic to sunflower seeds and the food coloring in the Zupreme Fruit Blend.

I took him down to Birds of Paradise and Ted put some of the Zupreme Fruit Blend in his food dish and within hours he was plucking and bleeding.

He also becomes EXREMELY hyper and obnoxious and will bite when he eats sunflower seeds and the Zupreme Fruit Blend!

    Continued .....

  • I'm wondering if the company might be using gmo seeds in their foods? I'm glad that you found out he was allergic! Poor little guy. Well he sure looks great now! His feathers have a beautiful sheen and his eyes sparkle, and the skin around his eyes looks soft and healthy. I would love to own a bird, but I have 2 cats so I can't. That would not be a very happy situation for a bird probably.

I watched the meeting between him and Avis, did they become good friends?

  • That could be the reason! The safest way to have a bird with cats around would be to keep it in a cage suspended from the ceiling so the cats can't jump on the cage and knock it over.

Frostie HATES HATES HATES cats! I had a cat come in the house four times and he let out this rapid, ear piercing, high pitched, extremely loud sound that the cat was out the door in terror!

  • @OnePickieChickie We have 3 cats. They are absolutely terrified of the "business end" of our macaw lol! All it took was them getting too close to her one day and her showing them that she means business lol!

  • I have determined that many parrots held in captivity have, unbeknownst to their owner, allergic reactions to their food and begin plucking which can then develop into an obsessive/compulsive behavior which may continue even if the foods the parrot is allergic to are removed from their diet just because they got into the habit of plucking and chewing and it continued on for so long they can't help themself.

  • Probably something like nail biting in humans I would assume.

I watched a show many years ago about hookbilled birds, and a scientist on the show who had been studying them for many years said they have the intellect of a 2-3 year old child, he said some even have the intellect of a 4 year old! That's pretty smart!

  • This is so true! Avis, my Blue Crown Conure, says, "Ut oh" every time someone, including the other birds, drops something! When someone heads for the door, Avis and Corkie say, "Bye, bye!". When I'm eating something, Corkie says, "Is that good?" and Avis goes, "Mmmmmmmmmmmm!", then makes this overly exaggerated lip smacking sound or says, "Want some!" or "Give, give, give!" When Avis sees or hears water running, he says, "Take a bath? Did you have a bath? Avis take a bath! Go take a bath!"

  • very funny! i love frostie and this bird too!!

  • Tiki belongs to a friend and lives where I got Frostie, Avis, Corkie and Gracie from. Isn't she beautiful?

  • haha i heard her say oh. :)

  • Very good! She told Avis, "Stop it! Stop it! Shut up!", yesterday when he was screeching! Lol!

  • yeah i heard her say oh. hey does she ever bite??? and how bad does it hurt???

  • She is not my parrot. Watch the video "Tiki Says My Name!". She has never bitten me. was very cautious around her.

  • great! They really have caracter - our birds. We just have to take the time to se it and that's what makes youtube so great! gathing together the little things that shows the mind of our macaws and other birds. simply great!

  • I'm glad you enjoyed this. Tiki is not my bird but belongs to a friend. She is a beautiful bird! Did you see Frostie's Shake Your Tail Feather video yet?

  • I have and its so good

  • Oh yes! My mom thinks that's its funny great! I love your videos of Frostie I my be a gamer but that does not mean I love birds! I have 3 of them!

  • I feel the same way, Tiki! They are always interrupting the program aren't they

  • Yes! Lol! I can't afford to spend the money it requires to get the channels with no commercials!

  • I'd love to have a B&G like Tiki. She and Akando would be great partners in crime, that's for sure. Was that a piece of sweet potato she was eating?

  • It was a dried peach!

  • hmmm...I dont hear it

  • It's at 00:43.

  • LOL cute!

  • It's like she says "Oh! That's why the music stopped! It's you again!" This was on PBS and they were doing a fund raiser where they try to get people to buy CD's and things to support the station!

  • Yeah, they have some really good concerts on PBS. Eric Clapton, Pink Floyd, Roy Orbison. I've even seen part of the one Tiki is watching!

  • Click on this 00:43 It's really quick and brief.

  • absolutely beautiful bird!

  • Tiki is stunning, isn't she!

  • It appears they do, doesn't it!

  • tiki says 'im in the mood to bite my owners head off but this treat will have to do'

  • Lol! She is a very sweet bird. She just didn't like the flashing red light on the camera when I was filming the other video! I didn't know that when I was making that video!

  • it was really cool when tiki said oh when it was the end

  • I know it was like, "Oh, it's a commercial! That's why they stopped dancing!"

  • Beautiful bird!!

  • Blue and Gold Macaws are gorgeous birds! You should see the Hyacinth Macaws! They are all blue and stunning!

  • Do you have a video of those?

  • No, sorry and I don't know of anyone locally who has some that I could catch on film! Maybe someday! You can do a Google image search to at least get an idea of what they look like.

  • I seen a 8 month old Hyacinth Macaws 2 weeks ago at a bird show I went to . It sold for $10.500 .

  • That doesn't surprise me a bit! Hell their feathers bring good money on Ebay!

  • She's a beautiful looking bird! Your birds are amazing!!!!

  • Tiki is beautiful!

  • Wonderful!

  • She was enjoying the dried peach, the dancers and the lovely music when suddenly loud clapping interrupted her state of pure pleasure! Tiki turns to look at the TV, sees The Man and says, "Oh!", as if to say, "It's that guy begging for money again, not an uninterrupted program like I thought it was!"

  • OH!

    Is that Tiki?!

    he is so brilliant!

  • Yes, that's Tiki! She is ENORMOUS! She just shed a tail feather and it's at least 2 feet l long!

  • it's amazing how birds 'get' our music & enjoy it!

  • Yes, it is, isn't it!

  • 5 stars *****

  • Thank you very much~!
