It's ridiculous that Tina Fey won the Mark Twain award. She isn't very funny. I could easily name ten women that are funnier. Penny Marshal, Carol Kane, Teri Garr, Cindy Williams, Cloris Leachman, Betty White, Tracey Ullman, Carol Burnett, Lucille Ball, Vicki Lawrence. Have they all won Mark Twain awards already? doubt it.

@Gunner3210 Yes, I concur. CNN does exactly the same thing all the time and they are in no position to point the finger. Media (especially the big boys where a lot of money is involved) don't want to offend anyone to the point that ratings drop, period.

One thing I do find ironic, however, is how PBS always gets accused of "being a liberal coven" when they clearly cut out the "liberal humor" part here.

I meant How I Met Your Mother was nominated. Two and a Half Men was nominated several times. Neither are the least bit funny. 30 Rock has no competition for an Emmy. It's just not that funny.

Anyway. Carol Burnett is more deserving of a lifetime comedy award. Many more comedians that I named before are more deserving. Many living SNL alumni are just as deserving.
