its funny, i found the time easier to follow once i locked in on the drummer's pattern behind the bass solo. Makes me feel less inadequate realizing this!
Check out Jazzgroove and SIMA on google. Or his myspace you'll find where he'll be playing next. Usually at the Seymour Theatre or Excelsior Hotel in Sydney.
If you like him check out STEVE MCKENNA on youtube.
@manuFUNKture He played with Chad Wackerman on "Scream" and "Legs Eleven" between 2000 and 2008 or so. Try them. I really like his work on those releases.
Brett Hirst on this one, playing his epiphone something or other. Great bass, great player. I was there the week before when Alex Boneham was on bass. If you're in Sydney at all, Alex is a great young bass player, look him up.
I'm glad someone has posted this! I've never heard of this guy until now. What's even funnier is that I've had this arrangement of this tune in my head for a few years now. Awesome!!
Its "All the Things You Are". James doesn't have any play-alongs buts its not a really complicated form its just head with a chordal melody (James Omits some of the notes from teh original tune) then solos, trade 4s then head out. Great video, Muller is the man! He was really good in Mark Isaacs Resurgence.
THANKS!! Finally some videos of James Muller on youtube :-) The guy is awesome. I've been a fan for a while. Spread the word and keep uploading more pleeeease! :-)

Thankfully, James Muller has a sharp sense of melody and swing, and, rare among his peers, musicality.

If you like Muller's straight ahead jazz playing, you should hear him playing fusion with Chad Wackerman. Brillant
