  • Muller's the shit! One of the saviors of jazz guitar!

  • Think its 7/8

  • wonderfull;incredible mastery of odd meters

  • its funny, i found the time easier to follow once i locked in on the drummer's pattern behind the bass solo. Makes me feel less inadequate realizing this!

  • I've never heard of this guy before. Anyone know if he's going on tour sometime? He's great!

  • Check out Jazzgroove and SIMA on google. Or his myspace you'll find where he'll be playing next. Usually at the Seymour Theatre or Excelsior Hotel in Sydney.

If you like him check out STEVE MCKENNA on youtube.

  • @manuFUNKture He played with Chad Wackerman on "Scream" and "Legs Eleven" between 2000 and 2008 or so. Try them. I really like his work on those releases.

  • Legs 11 and Scream are the two James played on with Chad.

  • Thankfully, James Muller has a sharp sense of melody and swing, and, rare among his peers, musicality.

  • this guys playing is absolutely brilliant. period.

  • James is a PHENOMENON. One of the world's great great jazz guitar players. Love your playing James!!!

    Richard Bornman

  • Great clips, made my day! Who`s the bass player???

  • Brett Hirst on this one, playing his epiphone something or other. Great bass, great player. I was there the week before when Alex Boneham was on bass. If you're in Sydney at all, Alex is a great young bass player, look him up.

  • If you like Muller's straight ahead jazz playing, you should hear him playing fusion with Chad Wackerman. Brillant

  • clovis2012-What disc?

  • Just goes to show there's BOATLOADS of epic players out there.

  • @swimspaz14 ..........it doesn't show that there "Boatloads" at all -- it shows one mutha-fucker !

  • I'm glad someone has posted this! I've never heard of this guy until now. What's even funnier is that I've had this arrangement of this tune in my head for a few years now. Awesome!!

  • FOOOK!!! i was uts talkin to you the other day! come home for your duck you stupid man!!!!!

  • Sounds really fresh. Easy but with substance.

    Flowing.

    Meat.

Sure not everybody's job. And this is what counts ...

    I like it!

  • which real book are you guys using?! it doesn't sound like any of the versions i have! please tell me. is there a playalong?

  • Its "All the Things You Are". James doesn't have any play-alongs buts its not a really complicated form its just head with a chordal melody (James Omits some of the notes from teh original tune) then solos, trade 4s then head out. Great video, Muller is the man! He was really good in Mark Isaacs Resurgence.

  • maybe because they're doing it in 7/4 here!
