I was recently in Ghadira watching birds. I met some great guys there who were extremely dedicated to their job. Alex, Ray, Charlie, Victor and Mr. Samut. Awesome guys!
One of them got shot twice by hunters while patrolling the surroundings. They deserve every bird watchers respect.
i love birds and agree they should be protected...what i do hate is idiots from other countries where they hunt regularly kill more than us and point their stinky fingers at us.

These Black-necked Grebes were not shot for the simple reason that they were lucky enough to find the safe haven of the Ghadira Nature Reserve.
Had they settled elsewhere in Malta, their life would have been at an extreme risk.
