Boy, you talk to a cop like that today and he'll blow the shit outta you. Cops don't get the repsect today like they did back then because they don't GIVE respect. And when they don't, they just shoot. Cops today have no personality to defuse situations. Andy used his personailty to take on the bad guys. Today's cops don't know that they're dealing with people. I'm not talking about crimminals who also shoot first. They're some who will not see.
@ickybiker: Agreed, Al Melvin was arguably the greatest character actor ever. But the loss of Don Knotts did not kill the show... in fact it finally got to No.1 in its last season. But I thjink we all agree, the black and whites were the best!
@sgtgtneal Don's loss did not kill the show, but Andy put is best on Larry King after Don's death "the show lost it's heart and soul when Don left" while also acknowledging that the show continued and went to #1 when it ended.
Al Melvin was great. Bully, gangster, Stock boy at Foley's Market, Marine Mess Sargent on Gomer Plye USMC. One of the great character actors.
Also, I think losing Don Knotts was the beginning of the end for TAGS. I can't think of Andy Griffith without thinking of Don Knotts. He was so central to the whole Mayberry atmosphere. Nothing against Warren (he's probably a great guy) but he was no Barney.
Classic bully episode, funny how bullies only pick on someone smaller, never see one walking up to Hells Angels and kicking dirt on their boots, hahaha.
Love the ending of this episode when Barney stands up to them, then they just look foolish. Two thumbs up!
Either this show is just a slow loader on most computers or it's a slow loader on my Comadore 64? Maybe I'm due for an upgrade soon. I should probly break down and get a new Dell computer so it doesn't take so long for these shows to upload....
i think allan melvin appeared in 7 or 8 different episodes...great character actor from the 60's...always liked his work on the andy griffith show

Its amazing how times flies by.
-Lord Jesus Christ still loves and saves from sins. His gift of eternal salvation is free because He already purchased it with His blood.

It's a crime that local ordinances make vendors pay $500-600 to prepare food. How does that make you 'safe'? -- : (

Always been one of my favorites.
"Neal" played a great Sgt. Hacker in the Gomer Pyle series.

@Bodhi716 He also played Sam, the butcher, Alice, the houskeeper's boyfriend on the Brady Bunch.
