  • very nice =) getting a mc.202 in a few days :D

  • More like Aphex Twin does drum machines. That guy rapes gear, literally.

  • Wow man. Thanks for this - this is such a wicked track, just made my mc 202 my favorite toy... (again).

It's small enough to take to bed ;)

  • daft punk sound.

  • Polynomial C, yeah!

  • Sounds like Philip Glass...

  • smooth :P

  • Polynominal-C is a right tune. You've done it justice, fella. Gotta love these old synths too.

  • My favorite aphex track!

  • wow. just wow

  • holy crap- Polynomial C !!!!

    nice work man.

  • mc202 is so much better than tb303 and so much cheaper

  • I love the birds in the back...

  • Wonderful! Very impressive.

  • thats beautiful stuff brother. Amazing choice of track

  • That's awesome man!

  • i like your choice in covers :D:D:D:D:D

  • Polynomial C.. (* smiles *)

  • @Anarchosyn Tune

  • ahh refreshing to see a real electronic fan, not some tossbag kid.

  • What does Reverb use?

  • Polynomial C :D

  • very good programming!

  • Oh my analord thats nice!

  • i want one thanks for the vid.

  • great mate, well done

  • cool!

  • no - i really don't think afx uses a 101 for this track. having just bought a 101 and 202 - i can confirm this. the sequencer is very basic on the 101. The 202 allows you to change the note length of the 6th note from 12 to 24. you cannot do that on a 101. This video actually made me go and find a mc-202..!

  • Sound is a bit off. I think you need a more expensive analog synth

  • cool ;)

  • @N0iseAndS0und The midiverb is the device above the 202 in the video. So, yes, it's a separate device.

  • a few weeks? Thats the best thing i have ever seen. It programing the 202 easy to get to grips with? also would standard reverb work just as well? Thanks.

  • @twintron Programming is kind of difficult to figure out, but it doesn't take too long. I'm sure any reverb you use will sound okay to you...

  • Haha, great demo. Didn't see it was Polynomial until aways in; very interesting.

  • HAHA thats fucking ace xD

  • tune

  • i love you

  • and polynomial C, really good game =)

  • Coolest f'ing thing I have seen for a few weeks!!!

  • Thanks.

  • if you really have to have one of these, than dont even look at the american ebay auctions go right to uk ebay because they are less

  • its close, but the fact is that squarepusher aphex and most likey boards too, use the 101

and i think boards uses it with a tape delay machine.

  • Okay. I don't have those things.

  • @HeresJamesPrice regardless reaally excellent stuff!

  • @HeresJamesPrice any you got the sound pretty well..i mean sh-101 and the mc-202 are basically the same machine but the sh-101 has a keyboard on it..so great job!

  • a MC 202 is a SH 101 without keys..

  • @utubeDiode This is not true.

  • @shenmue4life aphex actually DOES use a 202 and midiverb, among shit loads of other things. but i remember reading this in an interview.

    nice werk HJP!

  • @TRaddcliff aphex twin uses like every single roland product from the late 1970's to the late 1980's that has gained a status.

  • @HelloNewYorkCity word to that.

  • I love the sounds of the birds in the background.

  • how much does a 202 go for nowadays?

  • @swarm69 $600-1000USD+

  • @swarm69

I just saw one for 380 euros.

I was tempted but sobered up, don't know what I'd give for one. There's plenty of other step sequencer boxes around that are more versatile

  • top!!!

  • Nailed It!

I always meant to figure it out with my '202

    but Im too damn lazy.

    Good Job!

  • you rules thankssss

  • Hey nice vids, just have a question about the midiverb.

I saw one in some old store awhile ago but never knew what it sounded like, and still not sure if it was the same one.

    Just have 2 questions:

    1) I thought I remember the inputs being weird (not 1/4 jacks like pedals), is this the same reverb? If it is, how do you hook it up to a synth?

2)How's the reverse reverb? I kinda wanna try some ambient stuff and was wondering if the reverse was cool on this one, or if I should go for the 2

  • It has RCA in and out, left and right channels. I plan on replacing these with 1/4" because, well, RCA is crap.

The reverse reverb isn't anything great, and there is no control over timing except for the presets which are few (for the reverse anyway).

This first version of the Midiverb sounds great, but it lacks the control and features of the newer versions. The Midiverb 2 is way better in pretty much every aspect. If you have a choice, get the 2.

  • @HeresJamesPrice, FYI: 1/4" and RCA are functionally the same. Balanced signal (which is not possible with RCA) is better than unbalanced if you have long cable runs, but just swapping out the RCA jacks with 1/4" won't balance the I/O.

  • @taigkyo I understand that. It would merely be for ease of use. Few things I own use RCA.

  • Beautiful... one of my favourite tunes from Richard D. James.

  • sounds great, what track is this btw and from which album?

  • The song is Polynomial-C off Classics.

  • thanks!

  • Sick.

  • cool!

  • I want one of these now.

  • This is pretty cool duder.
