  • Robert got what he wanted to be famous

  • Y would mark foster write about this this is like the tuscon and 911

  • I was in Florida when this happened and I was praying so hard for those people. Bless their souls. God is watching over them

  • This was one scary day for me all though I live in north platte this was the talk at our Christmas dinner we could not believe something with so much horror had to happen in Nebraska. My friend told me his moms friend was in the mall at the time and she ran like hell couldn't believe that someone brought and ak-47 to a mall and just started to fire I think foster the people's song pumped up kicks is about this great song horrible day

  • This kid had no idea of what distraught he caused families

  • Pumped up Kicks

  • i live in omaha, and this is so sad.....one student at skutt who graduated with my brother, her mom was killed in the shooting. :(

  • I will never forget this day. I was in 5th grade not going into 7th, I remember my mom picking me up from school and all over the radio was them talking about this. It is terrible people had to die because of a worthless fool that went around the Mall killing people, injuring people during the holidays! :( Very Sad!

  • what the name of this song

  • My mom almost went down there to go christmas shopping. I thank and praise God she had a pile of paperwork to do.

  • I remember this shooting i was in the area when i saw all the fire engines going to the mall and the police and FBI oh shit i ran out of the area so fast i knew something was wrong

  • Who ever did this Video did an amazing job...By the way it doesn't matter where it happened all that matters is that many people died in this shooting..Every December they always put flowers out for the people who passed..They are in heaven looking over there familes and friends...:)

  • My Mom was going 2 go 2 Westroads that day I remember my Aunt callin the day b4 and she sometimes asks what we r going to do the next day and my mom said I am goin 2 go to westroads and the day of the shoot ing my aunt called all frantic but my mom didn't go because my little brother got sick..So glad she didn't

  • Von Maur is got to be haunted!!

  • probbley

  • I love my state of nebraska, but my mom walked out of von maur 3 minutes before the shooting, and like my friend hid in hottopic, the guys boots was like stomping, it was scary he said.

  • I hate these videos with sappy music added to them.

  • QUERE UNDER ME SUX 8==D

  • what kind of sick black hearted person are you? like no one else has ever been made fun of, or had a hard time in life. that does not give anyone the right to take another person's life. So others might have hurt him, what makes him any better than those people? get some help.

  • 4CHAN did this... I am disappoint.

  • it was so scary.. they made us go into lock down in school,, i remember exactly wht the principal said..."please go in to lock down... this is not a drill.. i repeat.. this is not a drill!"

who knew something so bad could ever happen in nebraska... i love this state

  • thmks for the video my friend was killed and i was almost killed it was very scary

  • Thank gosh Nebraska has concealed handgun law now! And there are a lot of carriers in our state! Don't think this will ever happen again. That was a bad day in Nebraska.

  • the guy who shot all those people is so phyco

  • this is why we need to get rid of anti-gun laws. If regular citizens are allowed to carry guns without permits then innocent people wouldn't die. Think about it, how many mass shootings do you hear occur at a shooting range? None, it's not going to happen. Now if you have a mall full of unarmed people then that will give the shooter confidence that no ones going to shoot back. I believe 9/11 also could have been prevented because of the same reason.

  • fuck yeah!!!

  • @ Renegade1179 How would 9/11 have been prevented? You're not really suggesting that we should allow concealed handguns on airplanes, right?

  • @renegade1179 this is why we shud MAKE anitgun laws, but so true. guns arent things regular people should have access to

  • @punaniswabber

People will always have a means to kill one another. Guns are a tool, just like a knife, a car, or a airplane. If we outlawed everything that could be used as a weapon we'd be killing each other with our bare hands.

Outlawing things isn't the answer, just look at europe. The answer is a more educated populace, with more self-responsibility, including the responsibility to protect one's self.

Ever heard of the wild west? It wasn't as wild as people think. Deterrence works.

  • That happened on my mom's birthday.

My aunt's friend was at the mall that day, heard a scream, and the lady next to her had been shot.

    Very sad.

  • My story (continued). Yes, Grant's brother did survive (thank God that he did). I guess that it's never really that scary until it hits home. Lesson learned from this story: if you live in Nebraska, get a conceal-and-carry license because anything can happen to anyone.

  • This is a very sad and scary story- no I'm not asking u to post it or else but just to simply read. Sadly, this is true. I live in Omaha, Nebraska, too and my cousin Dylan's best friend Grant's little brother was just sitting in his car one night at around 10:00 PM Central Time (11:00 Eastern Time, of course) and some Mexican dude just randomly walked up and shot him (yes I know Grant and he is an awesome dude). Luckily, his friendwswas there and they rushed him to the nearest hospital...

  • I was so pissed when i saw this on the news...fucking people man.....I wish I was there...I would have strait up kicked that punk kids ass...by the time i would have been done beating the shit out of him he would have either died from the pain or bled out...and every bone in my hand would have been broken...I dont get why ppl get the idea to go kill innocent ppl for no reason and then kill them selfs after words... why not kill your self first and save wasting the lives of innocent ppl.

  • And u no what was really bad? He did it in the middle of the afternoon when there were barely any grown men there and only women and little children. That pussy is so lucky that I wasn't there!!!!

  • I know & that just pisses me off.... I live about an hour away and go to that mall quite a bit...Just FUBAR man...

  • you guys say that now but when your in the situation it is so much more different. its so real your frozen by that fear. you forget all the threats and proises you made in the past days and all you can think about is not being seen by the shooter.

  • its been a year today!

  • Can't believe its been one year!!!

  • my friends grandma died in that. i was coming back from the dentist, drove right past westroads saw like at least 25 cop cars speeding past, i could hear the gun shots when we stopped at a red light! scary!

  • I think you are wrong kid. By the time the call came out over the radio the "shooter" had all ready taken himself out. Plus you cannot hear the rifle shots that far way. Sorry but nice try.

  • That happened on my moms 42nd birthday. December 5th

  • my dads 35th

  • i live less then 10 miles from that mall it was very scary i coudnt beleive it either

  • stfu fucking d-bag no one fucking cares for you try living here and not know what is happening

  • i'm very sorry...someone comes in my youtube and make a lot of bad comments...

    seriously...bielive me

  • i live here. we were going 2 the mall but thankgoodness we went to oak view!!!

  • what store did he die in

  • It all took place in the Von Maur store. He died on I think the second or third floor, suicide.

  • I knew the guy who did it he worked at McDonalds and got firred Man it sure iz sad i live in bellevue and my mom used to work there she quite 3 days before it happened

  • I live across the street from there, I tell ya that very first picture sure brought back some memories, i wish i could find it...

  • Are they closing this mall down or what?

  • No it opened up a few weeks later, words could not explain the feeling walking threw von maur after it opened....

  • I'm not talkin about the shooting. I heard this mall was going to close down because its old.

  • Heck no!! The only mall here that is even close to closing is crossroads!! There is nothing left in there!!

  • That very virst picture is one the best!!

  • when i heard about this i freaked out cause my cosins live there and i live in IL. i was so wored all day i would ask my mom if they were all right... they were and luckly they weren't there.. but the 1's who were.. i'm srry 4.

    beautiful video!!!

  • we went in there the day it opened and we bought an angel and set it on the steps.... I cried when we were in there. There was a cop around every corner.... im afraid to go into any mall anymore!

  • i can see van mour from my house, and slowly you would see cars dissapear untill there were only 10 visible cars left. the victims and the shooter...

  • wow. eltaz909 IS sick! that was a huge tragedy...they must have never had anything bad like that happen near to them, or else they would know what it's like

  • ugh i remember that day. i live in omaha. i remember i was at school and it was a beautiful december day outside. it was so nice it seemed impossible that something could happen like this. i cried and cried. robert was just a troubled soul. i remember i went back to the mall i few days after it opened back up again and my friend and i made snowflakes for the doors of von maur. i couldn't stop crying.

  • Going to have to say that eltaz909 is clearly an immature, misguided, heartless, lonely, lost soul that is absolutely miserable with life. Don't waste your time leaving gutless comments on youtube, waste it trying to find out why your such a sick in the head individual.

  • people die every day doesnt make a differnce were they die

  • hey eltaz909 you need to shut the fuck up you dont know what happened to the familys of the victoms i live right by this mall. dont coment back u fucking douchbag mother fucker

  • it's still a tragity no matter who it is...

  • you have no idea at all about situations like this. when you are put in this situation you will know..

  • yeah no...I wont freeze. I pray to god that he will put me in that situation...And Im the kind of person that wont say ill do something unless its true.I stopped having a fear of death the day I figured I'll join the Corps And Go to asscrackastan. the way I see it if im gonna die,die saving someone so they can live longer...trust me,im not the kind of person that would freeze in that situation.

  • Sad little thing to happen in my hometown.

  • sure it was sad and tragic, but why don't the murders in north omaha, which greatly outnumber this one isolated event, get hardly any attention

  • B/c its America...you want justice then move to Russia!

  • omaha has became such a trashy little city with the past 10 tears( i live here, i know)

  • same im 14 and i live there i remember being able to do twice as much shit when i was little but now im not aloud cuz of violence

  • thats stupid....when you are 18 go back and read this and realize what a numb-skull you are.

  • I'm sorry, but if you call Omaha a "trashy little city", then you must not really live here at all. I would appreciate it if you wouldn't demean the town where I grew up.

  • i cant believe how people can be so selfish and take others lives this is not a Game people Robert took my BEST friends moms LIFE for god sakes how could someone go and do that

  • it was so sad driving by von maur the next snowy day, seeing all of the victims cars covered in snow still sitting where they were. very sad.

  • I went there yesterday and took the same elevator and went on the third floor. I saw the customer service and just couldn't believe that all this happen here.

  • I went there yesterday and took the same elevator and went on the third floor. I saw the customer service and just couldn't believe that all this happen here.

  • Still hard to believe his happend...

  • I still cant go on the 3rd floor where 8 of the people were killed.

    This is a great video.

  • Wonderful video. This video gave me goose bumps watching

  • Can someone tell me the name of the song in this video? RIP

  • My Immortal by Evanescence

  • R.I.P. Maggie Webb You were by far the most friendly person and manager i've ever met and we need more of you down here!

  • this is a really beautiful video.

i esp. love the first picture.

that was a really scary day for all of us.

i was at skutt when it happened and my cousin goes to creighton prep and he said they were on lockdown because they didn't know what was happening.

i don't think any of us expected this to happen in omaha. it really hits home because that is a place everyone goes to all the time and it's scary to face reality and know that we are never safe.

    beautiful video. good job!

  • sad...

  • I live here in omaha this happend just a couple of streets from where my home is i couldnt believe this happended!! God bless the families who lost someone they love.

  • @hechoenmexico0307 the shooter lived a block away from me.

  • this is so depressing.

i was less than 20 miles away when it happened.

i guess something like this can happen anywhere. you aren't safe anywhere. not even a mall in omaha...

  • and thats why you dont fucking give your kids prozak
