I bought the game itself and i'm using a gh3 guitar controller. It is worth buying the new guitar controller for the guitar and bass parts cause the gh3 controller can't read hammer ons and offs to well and i eff up the streaks i get, it's really frustrating knowing u can play the song but mess up on the easy parts.

I'm saying hammer-ons specifically. The controller itself, the way its designed, does not deal with that but rather any and all notes. It is the programming within the game itself that defines what does what. And by programming I mean the coding. The way its coded, what makes everything happen the way its supposed to happen.

All the controller does is send a signal to the machine, which is then interpretted by the game. In your case, you're either missing notes or your controller is bad.

In other words there's no way it could be all the controllers, because it just doesn't work like that - and i'd think if it was your controller, you would have noticed elsewhere as well. I can only guess either you're misunderstanding the rules of the game or that you're genuinely missing notes.
