  • @1995Bigbryan Not really, its mostly the technical aspects of Film making (in the Film program). There is a directing class, but there isn't any type of acting program at the school.

  • Thx for the vid. Good info. I figure you graduated already. I'm looking to transfer to FS, and still very undecided. Since you already graduated, looking back do you think the education and the hand on exp is worth the money. The tuition is def a huge prob for me, and not sure how to finance it if loan and financial aid don't cover everything I really afraid that would happen in a middle of the process. And was able to get a job right after? Thx

  • Hey KidCaliente, didn't we once argue about Full Sail? I recall you loving Full Sail, but this seems to portray it a little more negatively.

  • @adamtuminaro89 LOL, does not seem negative to me at all. Stick to teaching 8th graders how to play drums, and I will stick to working in TV. I got nothing but love for you. ;)

  • this really helped me out fo real

  • Don't go to Full Sail, it is a scam.

  • im thinking of going how was the film editing i saw it at the behind the scenes tour this year it looked pretty badass but i would like to talk to you first

  • @mute754 It was cool, its all non-linear editing. They teach you Final Cut Pro, and AVID, pretty fun stuff.

  • @KidCaliente now i hate to ask but are you making any money now that your out of school

  • @mute754 Yup, Im working at a TV station and doing free lance videopgraphy work on the side. Keeps me super busy!

  • @KidCaliente thanks man i think im going to go

oh btw this has nothing to do with the programs but r there any cool parties there

  • @mute754 LOL, yeah there are some cool parties. But I did not go to many of them, class and homework kept me busy. Most of the parties are mostly dudes, so be ready for that. LOL.

  • @KidCaliente oh well i just assumed because of the bar thats in the same parking lot

  • @KidCaliente Yea, i was in a class of 50 people one month, and hundred and 130 another. How much time do you think I got to play with avid? Only enough to pass the tests. Fullsail is a scam. I have a bs from there, it was a waste of time and money. I regret it every day. fuck fullsail, and fuck anyone who goes there. yea that includes me, cause im already fucked because of it. If you disagree, suck my dick.

  • @TheGreenPlague LOL, sounds like you need to step your game up bro, and wash your mouth out with soap as well. Jeez. There are hundreds of jobs out there, you just gotta fight for them. Do that, or start your own project and give others jobs. If you got time to complain, you got time to do something about it.

  • @KidCaliente Good Idea, I'll go start up my own production company and provide jobs for people. yea, that will work great, just as soon as I get a couple nice HD cams, all the lighting gear, and a studio with a editing facility. You're a genius bro. Hey, get back to me when you have your own production company that brings in enough money to pay people. Dip shit. You would make a great fullsail instructor, just another smug shit talker. Hundreds of jobs out there? You're an idiot. Get fucked.

  • @TheGreenPlague Ha ha ha, dude your awesome. No need to get mad buddy. I still love you. ;)

  • @KidCaliente grrrrrrrrrrrrr.

  • @TheGreenPlague I agree....fuck Full Sail and its false promises.

  • @ArmenianProductions What false promises?

  • @KidCaliente That they truly give you real world experience and get you good connections in the industry, It's all a sham.

  • @ArmenianProductions LOL, no sham at all.

  • @ArmenianProductions

    Agreed. I'm a grad. Its a sham.

  • @adamtuminaro89 Ok buddy, we believe ya.

  • Are there prerequisests?

  • @GreenCardProductions Nope, they start you off, and teach you from the ground up.

  • Now.. do they start off the program assuming students are uneducated in the field? Or is there certain things you should be educated in before attending?

  • @skycrawler620 They teach you from the ground up, with the basics, then you advance onward. I had no prior experience in anything before I attended. Sometime there might a few students that have a little experience, but not many.

  • @KidCaliente ok cool because I have very little experience in film, and I was worried I would be behind when I start in August

  • I am hoping to attend Full sail after i graduate for Film...i am really Excited for it!

  • @GreenDean35 Nice, nice. I loved it.

  • i am also wanting to be a screenwriter and i attend full sail and the story telling needs to be completely reworked. the teacher i have is very negative and closed minded. sound for film is also in need of new lab teachers. they definitely not interested in explaining something if you are having trouble. the money my family is paying for me to go there is outrageous and i expect a little more help from teachers.

  • @MrWesley1119 I recommend talkin with your student advisor at once. Make absolutely sure the school knows whats going on. They can help you a lot.

  • I am currently in the application process now for the film major... I really am glad this video is on youtube. Thanks.

  • No probz.

  • I saw the comment on the SAT question and I wanted to know what do you mean by No SAT's? and What does it take to get in?

  • Its a basically a tech school, at the time I attended having graduated high school and filling out some information, getting 3 letters of recommendation, and secured funding, you can get in. I started back in 2007. Im not sure if any thing has changed since. But thats how it was when I went. ;)

  • im going to full sail for film. im in my senior year and trying to find financial aid and scholarships but im for sure going! im really excited! but...what do i have to worry about most? teachers? classes? anything?

  • Believe it or not, funding. Sometimes those student loans are hard to come by. The teachers were great, the classes were awesome, some challenging. If you do go, stay really focused, think about what it is your going to do when you get out. And try to save money when your in school.

  • hey, im going to be taking the film course as well but im hearing all kinds of negative things like the equipment isnt well maintained and the professionals in the industry don't take fullsail grads seriously and stuff. what are your thoughts? oh, and does full sail require that you take the SAT test?

  • No SAT's, the equipment is well maintained, and if its not, it gets sent out out be fixed, the pros in the industry take no one seriously, it up to the individual to earn that respect. The pros I have met and worked with don't care about schools, only skill. ;)

  • thanks for the info! but i've decided to go to film school here in canada because i would get financial help and such. good luck at full sail!

  • Awesome! Canada has some great schools! Im sure you will have a blast!

  • i recently found out about full sail and it is really exciting to know that there is a university like this one. could you please tell me more about the "disappointing" classes? like math and all that, and what is the necessity of them. thank you in advance :)

  • For me personally, I did not have any "disappointing" class's. The class's like Math and stuff are just core class's and in some little way all seem to tie into the program. The main reason that they are there is to give the student a more rounded education. And it all adds up to the bachelor degree, it needs a certain amount of credits to make it so. Overall it all ties in various ways.

  • Nice! See ya soon!

  • Awesome! If you have any questions message me! peace!

  • wow i was thinking of going to new york film acedemy too. but now i think full sail is a good choice. i want to be a director but i am only a sophmore in highschool so i have plenty time to think things through.

  • You should come down and check the school out. The "Behind the Scenes" is great. But the day tours on weekdays really show you around the school with out all the "bells and whistles."

  • well i would come all the way over there but its across the states. lol, im over here by nevada.

  • im interested in seeing an interview with a student from the game art developement program.. Nice job so far, its nice to see it from a students perspective.

  • Hey thanks for taking a peep. Game Art is in my plans for my interviews.

  • Can you do one on Recording Arts please?!?!

  • Yes, thats my goal. I would love to interview students from all of the programs at our school. Stay tuned!

  • Thanks for watching! The hardest part is actually getting someone to commit to actually doing an interview. Then I have to find a time that will fit into our schedules. Its crazy. LOL.
