those supporters are misinformed. He personally believes in straight marriage but recognizes that its not the governments damn business to regulate who can and cant get married. It should be handled at the state level and ideally he wants there to be no such thing as a marriage license, he rather it be a contract between two people so anyone can get married.

Gold is less volatile then our current dollar. Especially against other commodities. You think inflation and deflation are not volatile? You would be crazy.
To give you an example. In the last 10 years the canadian dollar was $0.60 and as high as $1.20. Right now the US dollar is worth less than the Canada's dollar.
In the last 10 years golds purchasing power has remained the same or in some cases gained.

This has NEVER been his platform. He preaches constantly about Fed gov't staying out of local politics and the self determination of state and local gov't.
