@Harvesttime144 The two witnesses are not two groups of people. you are decieved if you believe this. And there is great danger in trying to teach this lie.
Scripture is speaking literally about two people. The gospel of Nicodemus even names them as Enoch and Elija.
@Harvesttime144 To understand the 10 Virgins, study the jewish wedding traditions from Jesus' time. The 10 Virgins here are the attendants of the Bride, and thus were female. Pay particular attention in the traditional ceremony when and where the phrase "the bride groom cometh" is used, and you will understand this parable.
Your translation of "symbolic language" makes the argument that Christ is not worthy to accept only chaste virgins for his 144,000 and must settle for second rate persons.
@AStoneOfLight If God can set aside 7,000 in the day of Elijah, who had not bowed down to Baal, surely he can set aside 144,000 for himself in that last day. Your arguments restrict the power, authority, and omnipotence of God. God is unlimited in power and authority and can do anything he wishes, without the restrictions of political correctness or other such foolishness.
@Harvesttime144 So what you are saying, is there are 2 groups of people going to lie dead in the streets of Jerusalem for 3 days, while the world celebrates their deaths? The bible is pretty explicit and definitive in the number being only 2. That's good enough for me.
Some prophecies are just now coming to pass that were told 1500 years ago, I guess we will just have to wait and see if some of the prophecies come true.lol
Pray to Mary? Isn't she is just a mortal woman?Doesn't king Saul did this thing through a medium to call Samuel up and ask for advice? Pray to God the Father and stop worship practice these non-sense. No where in the bible said she has been resurrected or being a intercessor for us, so clearly it is idolatry.
2nd, no human being would dare say she/he would exalt high above God except Adversary/Satan in Isaiah Chapter14, so clearly she is not the one we ask for help
@melbourneopera If you are referring to my Mary comment, I was being sarcastic. I set no store by praying to Mary or any other dead person/saint. That is Necromancy and strictly forbidden by the word, let alone the blasphemy associated with her by the teachings of Catholic church. Our hope is in Jesus Christ and no other. It is through him we can go boldly before the throne of grace.
Sorry if I confused you with the Mary remark in my previous post.
@TrustinJC I just know what the word says in this instance, and he is talking about Virgin Men, who have not been defiled by woman. You have got your pants in a twist for some personal reason it seems, and I am not going to be dragged into your snare of strife. As for the Gospel of Thomas, I rate that right up there with praying to Mary.
Get over yourself and seek the truth of the word, personal interpretations are unacceptable.
@AStoneOfLight I am not trying to catch you in a snare. These are questions that if you have not already asked yourself, you need to. The apostle Peter was married. Are you suggesting, as the passage reads, that he was defiled by a woman? If not, than you must take another look at the meaning of Rev 14.
Do a lexicon search for the word virgin. Check it's biblical meaning. Perhaps this will shed some light.
I liked this video. My feelings have recently been hurt by a youtube preacher. He reported on something that wasn't true. I didn't think he was aware of it so I told him and his viewers. He blocked me. It opened my eyes. Some of these people are here for popularity and views. Some are on here for "shock" preaching...which usually backfires, as it did in my case. Anyways, I am glad you posted this. God Bless.
thank you Dave. I had been subscribed to a person of this type that just last week the LORD told me No, not one more word from this person and I unsubscibed right away. This word you gave is truth.
@eDrifter1 Oh, when you speak the truth, it is bound to happen. I personally just take it with a grain of salt and drive on. The one's who throw the biggest fit, are usually the ones, who get hit the hardest. Not always, but usually. Regardless, I love them anyway.
Brave of you to stand up to the false prophets. I'll be honest with you - of the Hundreds of folks claiming to be 'prophets' on the internet I found just ONE individual who is a christian and whoose dream-visions have already come true. And that one percent is just what we should expect in these days of deception. I'm not saying there arent others out there who are speaking visions from the Holy Spirit. .it's just that I get the impression that MOST are just speaking from their imaginations.
@Harvesttime144 I actually answered your question about the ten virgins before you asked the question and then I answered it again. lol 'These' were (1) not defiled with women; (2) redeemed from among men. If you want to further confuse, you can also point to the previous verse which says "and NO MAN could learn that song but the hundred [and] forty [and] four thousand, which were redeemed from the earth," and claim they are all women or something else. ???
@Harvesttime144 The parable of the ten virgins is that - a parable - featuring a traditional wedding 'theme' which focus is on the lamp, the oil in it, which was quenched. The parable's meaning was that we are always to be ready with the indwelling of the Holy Spirit and not quench it. Parables and straight scripture shouldn't be compared. There shouldn't be any confusion about these things for God does not confuse.
@Harvesttime144 Its just one verse, Rev 14:4 - it mentions 'women,' "who were not defiled with women,' and it mentions 'men,' "these were redeemed from among men.' When scripture refers to both, it usually uses the word 'man,' as in mankind, example: "My spirit shall not always strive with man." The offerings, sacrifices and feasts that God had His people practice from the beginning were SYMBOLIC of what was to happen with Christ and us later so that we could recognize these.
@Harvesttime144 The example you bring up about the ten virgins is a parable featuring a traditional wedding 'theme' which focus is on the lamp, the oil which was quenched. The oil represents the Holy Spirit which we are not to quench. Parables should not be compared with straight scripture. Defiled as in desecrate, impure or profane. Not symbolic, but literal. Just do a study on this word also - the nation is defiled, the land is defiled, a woman, etc.,
@Harvesttime144 Actually... Rev 14:4 These are the ones who were not defiled with women, for they are virgins. These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever He goes. These were redeemed [fn] from [among] men, [being] firstfruits to God and to the Lamb.
It says among MEN and FIRSTFRUITS. Do a study on the word 'Firstfruits' which appears about 33 times in the Bible. He created man in His own image - these are the firstfruits from the harvest of His creation from His people Israel.
@migfoxbat Virgin from birth. They have never been defiled with women. Hard to conceive, but there are still people, who believe in chastity until marriage. The Jewish religion is pretty strict concerning this subject. Thanks Ian
@AStoneOfLight I pray daily that i am not deceived and that i do not deceive.I hardly have dreams and visions anymore, but i worry, to think i have done anything wrong in sharing my dreams, well all i seem to get are rocks thrown at me when i do lol.It scares me to think i do anything that is not of Fathers will and continue to tell him everyday that i am unable to control my life and ask him to take control for me, everyday without fail.God bless brother
In the old days people kept their pants on until after marriage, it is very rare now days for any age but especially for my age group. I am saving mine until marriage as it is sin do it before marriage.
there are many speaking 'in the name of God" that God never spoke to, and most certainly did not send. They are speaking to familiar spirits, and becoming deluded. Most are illiterate in the Word. It is becoming a cancer. False dreams, false visions, dates and more dates. Excuse after excuse. Numerology, pagan practices mixed with Christianity. Satan creates confusion. God is 100% accurate Every Time.
Look into the cult that is the allmightywind, they are responsible for many falling away and becoming as bad fruit. So bad are things here that I have mostly stop doing any fellowship here on youtube. It makes me sick to my stomach just to come across people here and few know anything that is true anymore.
I know my friend, some of these so called christians, are just a little to much. Some I won't mention any names, but they seem to have dreams every nite, then u look at their channel and it like they have thousands of dreams. You are right many false prophets and prophettess out their in cyber land. Complete joke if you ask me. Not to mention the self righteous judgemental crew, that twist and add and deny the true scriptures of God. Rebuke my friend rebuke. Have a great day.
@MrPsalm53 The dreams on my channel as well as some of the prophetic words are from as far back as 30 years ago. I actually believe most of these people either (A) are making it up as they go along, or (B) listening to familiar spirits. Either way, they are liars, and the truth isn't in them. thanks for the response
