No ones gaining any knowledge from Don, but I grew up watching Don along with a lot of other Canadians. @g1enn He has the record for the most 20 goal scorers on one team. That's a coaching record, and generally coaches know more about hockey than players. That's why they are the coaches. Avery is a fucking idiot and a shitty player, and Cherry knows more about hockey than all these clowns who make fun of him.

@G0odf3lla He was referring to Europeans as a whole, who grow up playing the game differently. While some Euro players who are tough, the vast majority grow up playing in a league where they cant fight, therefore they play a different style. They have larger ice surfaces & less hitting.
For every tough Euro player like Chara, there are a dozen guys like Sedin, or Krecji, or Lidstrom. And the dirty physical players like Ulf Sammuelsson played dirty & never fought. That's what Cherry hated.

@adamb8s Don Cherry is part of Canadian Hockey history whether he actually knows anything or not. Don Cherry is a biased Canadian, and every biased Canadian loves him and his antics. No ones gaining any knowledge from Don, but I grew up watching Don along with a lot of other Canadians. He's not meant to be taken seriously, he's old and senile but Coach's corner has been part of Canadian hockey for a long time and people are always anxious to hear him rant between periods.
