  • Still waiting for an answer, Doug. Who certifies a topwater-only world record?

  • at 1:55 what kind of fish is that?

  • @me53914

Redfish also reffered to as the saltwater drum

  • For those who may not know,Doug Hannon offers these lures..made an original snakebait decades ago with a floating foam head, and a very plastic worm looking body/tail section...these newer versions do seem to be an improvement as far as design goes.Have not had a chance to use these newer ones, but dont live in an area that supports bass big enough to take these lures.Muskie or Pike perhaps...nonetheless,there are very few,if any people at all, that have caught more 10 lb + bass than Doug Hannon..

  • @icthruu4evr that fish was right around what he said it was.

  • I think these lures are better at catching fisherman than they are fish ; )

    Peacock bass don't eat snakes...

  • *pending world record bass at a whooping 8 oz.

    what a beast

  • No giants.. but good sized fish..

  • frogs are better lures

  • 3.5 lbs tops?

  • Where do you go to buy those

  • Oh, and Your wife loved THIS white albino, Muhfuckah!!!

  • I keep checking and don't see where Hannon has ever answered the question of who certifies a record for fish caught specifically on topwater lures.

  • were can u order those at?

  • dang i have a 16.2 on topwater 28.inc long 21inc. girth monter caught at night on a black bb.boom at lake tobosokee ..nice snake for sure

  • what is the name of that lure??

  • Ooh there it is!

  • @wikd9 times like 30

  • were do u get those bait i love caching bass my biggest one was 10 pounds

  • @icthruu4evr what? that bass is about 6 or 7 might be 7 1/2,,,are you saying its a 3lb bass?

  • @destryer36 I first estimated that fish's weight at 3.8lbs, when he said 6/7lbs, I was shocked. I call Bullshit! That fish may weigh almost 5lbs, soaking wet! Believe me, I weighed in five tonight... You can tell that he's not used to holding a heavy bass.

  • these lures are great the guy that invented them lives in my friends neighborhood hes a great guy.

  • yeah :))

  • 2:10 - "watch this action!!" ... nothing happens.. lol

  • @jdmhum IT MEANS THE ACTION AND MOVEMENT OF THE LURE lmao

  • nice bait,im getting the flying lure and the helicopter lure too.give us a break! Crap baits.Save your money buy a Triple trout or Rago type swimbait if your after big bass.

  • what a fucking joke... over priced lures

  • Puny thin shit.

  • is that last picture of the kid at blydenburgh lake?

  • the name of this video is completer bullshit. ive in person seen and caught bigger bass than that on topwater on a bad day.whoever reposted this video under this name should be slapped.

  • I caught a 15.6 pound bass with these lures

  • This is crazy. I dont think they have categories for topwater or anything like that when going for a world record. If thats the case, I might have a world record for a bass I caught on a crappie jig. World record for a bass caught on a 1/16 oz lure.........lol. And Im also pretty sure that bigger bass have been caught on topwater lures.

  • This title of this video and Doug Hannon's refusal to respond to questions about the claim about the "pending world record" demonstrates why you should take anything Hannon claims with a grain of salt.

  • bullshit!!!!

  • idk about the world record,, if you are in a stocked pond....big bass will eat anything big that hits the water if thay are feeding.....just sayin

  • where do u get those bad booys

  • what tempetauare was the water

  • now only if they made minnows like that

  • now only if they made minnows like that

  • i never knew bass ate snakes

  • seriously?? The world record could easily EAT that bass.

  • @gotncmudd seriosly....i now it could...the world record is 32 lbs

  • lol "white albino" my favorite color is the "dark black" or the "crimson ruby red"

  • Why is this video five minutes long? Way to go on the misleading title and 180,000 disappointed views.

  • if any topwater bait owns the topwater record its the lunker punker!

  • cool that you can catch bass with snakes

  • hey least they got a trouser trout

  • where can i get them baits?

  • Come on dude, that's a small bass. Far from the record.

  • this is the best lure i have ever had and they actually work..the white albino is the best ther is to

  • why did u keep replaying it ...lol

  • Awesome!

Do you do the world record keeping yourself?

  • My biggest bass ever was caught on a sluggo...25 inches and just over 9 pounds! That is BIG for a New Jersey bass.

  • where'd ya catch it? i caught a 8 pounder in deal lake on a senko... nj ftw!

  • i catch 8lb bass with fake frogs at my cousins pond!

  • World record? Where? I smell bullshit.

  • u got that "bass"tard!!! lol

  • u can use a sluggo and get really good snake action, just texas rig it and fish it on the surface

  • Sluggos rule topwater weed fishing!

  • what is it made out of??

  • what are they called and who makes the snake lures?

  • ive seen the snake lures on ebay

  • what's the name of the lures and where cani get one.

  • how many fish can you catch on one of those snakes before there unuseable?

  • where do you get them from

  • i was tryin to catch gar one day and was usin a 10in eel for bait on a 5alt hook with 30lb steel leader and 20lb test on a small surf rod and got a hit as sonn as i through it in the boat basin but it didnt stick so we cut it into 3in chunks and tried a pice and caughr a 8lb bass...i was checkin another rod across the basin and had that one in free spool so it rapped around 2 pilings so i had to swim to unrap the son of a bitch but it was worth it for my personal best bass..kinda noodled him lol

  • just sayin the world record bass that is 22lbs 4 oz was caught on a topwater bait

  • u damn near broke his jaw holdin him like that.

  • how your suppose to hold them...

  • lol nice fish

    last yr i got a 19inch 5 ponder

  • A old timer down in florida gave me a couple of these snakes and to be honest they work great for BIG bass. If your looking for monsters on topwater this is he way to go exspecially in warm water. Your not going to catch alot of bass on this bait but the ones you do catch will be pigs.

  • I understand they make long hooks and that you can connect two hooks but that cancles out the swivle of the snake. Correct me if i am legitimately wrong but thats just how i see it.

  • Not to knock the product more than it already has been but i don't see how you wouldent miss countless bites on this. Just for a quick scenario, a 15lb bass hits it and bites the ass end of the snake and their is not a hook around, your gunna be pissed and mabey throw your pole in the water or what ever it is you do to take anger out. Now you put your self in the hole with what ever your pole costs + the $40 you paid for the product .

  • Fish tend to strike the head of their prey, so it should be fine.

  • that was'nt no 6 or 7 pound bass you over excited buffalo!!,

  • 10 bucks, i might buy them, but 40? lost my sale. my tackle box plus all the tackle in it, didn't cost that much. yeah im a cheapskate..have to be these days.

  • George Perry's record was almost beaten last year by 2lbs but when the fish was hooked it was not a legal hook spot. Later that month the fish they caught died after being found floating. They called it dottie.

  • your off by 2 years and 3 pounds there knucklehead. The fish was caught on March 20th 2006. The fish "Dottie" (named because of the unique black dot on her gill plate) weighed 25.1 pounds. George's fish weighed 22.4. Dottie was found floating on March 15th 2008 after she had spawned out. Youre name fits you well.

  • samsoninthepit got ya there..i just saw that shit on t.v. the other night.

  • shit ill stick with my lime green zoom trick worms.

  • my absolute favorite lure! got a 7 pounder last year on that mofo, not lime green, but darker green truck zoom, so money for bass

  • What a bunch of garbage. There are better plastic snakes out there for workin top water. Oh, and pending world record, I'm gonna need to see that on IGFA scales please. I dont think George Perrys record will ever be beaten.

  • trueee.. :D

  • Oh his record will be beaten, I assure you.

I live 2 miles from Diamond Valley lake in Hemet. Diamond valley was filled in 2000, and already the lake record is over 16 pounds. There are at least 7 lakes here in Southern California that have bass bigger than Perry's record (Dixon, Castaic, Casitas, Diamond Valley, Lower Otay, Miramar, Sutherland). I have to agree, this product is CRAP. There is no separate record for topwater. I call BULLSHIT

  • all about the senkos!!

  • x2

    Senko's Are The Shizzit!

I actually use the Tiki Stick-Cheaper and more durable.

    color-baby bass pearl

  • i used to use tiki but i think its spelt kilnami... i use that now, better action but less durable

  • The bait looks great in the water. Awesome vid!

  • no limit 2 # uf bass u catch... size 12inches +

whea can i get those snake baits?

  • how many largemouth bass can we keep per day and what size that allow to keep??... i'm new to fishing bass.. can anyone help me out??

  • its different per area and state.

  • @huntertank90 It depends on what state you are in and what lake, pond or river youre fishing.

  • where do i buy one of these they got um at walmart or anything cus bass pro shops are to far of a drive

  • that's crazy, for the price of these lures...i saw one of my favorite lures, the Megabass Griffon, for 20.00 Some of those lures can easily go for up to 40.00...depending on the lure

  • wow constructionkid your pretty stupid... that bait is awesome i use it all the time and have tremendous outcomes... does work better during the sponing season

  • that baid sux balls, any lure in barely touched water will catch fish, if its that great y dont u do a sho on a public lake

  • you are a dumbass it does not matter whether or not its been fished on or not, and how do you know thats not a public lake. Do your research that bait is awsome i use it all the time. Have you ever considered that maybe its not the bait that sucks but you.

  • hey where did you get it , you think acadmeny would have it????

  • since pownage24 uses this we all should...maybe we all suck at fishing...eat a bag of dicks faggot.

  • where do you get those at they look so great going through the water

  • nevermind. i posted the comment below before i saw the end.

  • i saw these lures in my In-Fisherman magazines i get and i thought about gettin sum. where can they be bought?

  • o there it is

  • If you use these when other topwaters work best(morning, dusk, an overcast) they work just fine.

  • wow

the language is not needed and you guys say that these lures suck but obviously your blind because clearly in the video the action is great and they caught some nice fish

    good job guys

    tight lines

  • you got to love the photo shop job with the baits hanging out of the mouth. I feel sorry for anyone who was stupid enough to buy these.

  • and there expensive as hell i looked on the maker website and its about $20.00 for a 3 pack

  • frchkn.. i grew up down the street from lake dixon. A good friend of mine who happend to be working the dock that day and witnessed the fish called me and i came down. i have ran into jed a bunch of times and have a few friends on the pro staff that he is on. The fish was snagged just under the dorsil fin. I saw the puncture wound with my own eyes, Jed swears it was unintentional and i beleive him. He is more about the fish then the record and thats why he let her go to avoid controversy.

  • these baits suck ass. As you can see these dumbasses dont even know the world record is 22lbs 4oz.. biggest fish here on the top end was 5lbs.. the 25lb 6oz fish was caught by Jed dickerson out of lake dixon. it was foul hooked so it did not count.. these baits suck ass. look at the pour.. uneven seems on the side. lame shit. trip, fall and die.

  • You are correct on these baits sucking ass, But the record bass cought in 06 was 25.1oz it was later declaired the fish was NOT foul hooked but it was not wieghed on a official scale.. But none the less man the bass was huge!

  • The 25er was caught by Mac Weakly, not Jed Dickerson.

  • wait i thought mac weakley caught the dixon lake beast

  • i have these snakes and they work amazing. I even caught a 35 inch tiger muskie on one.

  • I like the lures but you shouldnt gave this video that title cause the biggest bass in there was probly 8lbs and the world record is like 25lbs!! Thats kinda stupid!!

  • they probably meant by the most bass catching for topwater lures...

but the world record isn't 25lbs...it still stands at a 22lbs.

the 25lbs wasn't recorded because it was an foul hook fish, ppl flock all over trying to hook that 25 pounder but it is now dead...not too long ago, so long dottie RIP

  • sure seems like a lure commercial to me...

  • thats bull

  • ive got trouts bigger then that bass

  • If these lures are so great for bass then how come the pros don't use them? Could it be that they don't work? Very possible. But if they did the bass fishing community would already have seen and used them by now.

  • ....lol pending world record, people will say anything to lure you to their page....lol

  • Where's the world record masterbaiter ass. Damned I hate these advertising videos. We all should mark it as spam.

  • DO NOT get suckered into buying these...i made the mistake and then gave them away for free. They straight up suck.

  • WORD TO THE WISE.

This is just to advertise those snake lures.

If you watch every single video of these snake lures ITS ALL BULLSHIT.

    Take this video for instance.

    Notice how he gets hit?

Watch the video again, it skips to another clip.

Watch any snake lure it does not show one valid video of them actually HOOKING the fish.

They all just start out with already hooked fish, suspicious huh?

It's a scam thats all there is to say.

  • Are these for catchin fish or fishermen, im guessing the second one

  • yea man where do ya get those lures

  • those lures are crazy how much are they ?? do they come in a pack or seperate ??

  • omg, i hate Fishing shows, any fish over 2 pounds is at least a "five pounder", and this cunt calls that puny shit a six seven pounder, KISS MY ASS!

  • Sorry, but I didn't see any fish in this video that would hit 22-4. I saw some big fish, but none that big. If you want to see what a 20 pounder looks like, then look up "Dottie," the fish caught in Lake Dixon, CA by Jed Dickerson then later Mac Weakley. That was a record-class fish. These are not. And if there was a pending record, then everyone in the bass fishing world would know about it. Not just the producer of this video. Sorry.

  • where do u bye them? can u bye them in vermont?

  • That was a pretty small fish!

  • I used these on northern pike up here in Alaska and they tore it up. The thing is...there are no snakes up here in Alaska. The action is just such that the fish can't resist biting it.

  • how do you hook these

  • i just use horney toads

  • that is definetly i nice sized bass for sure but did you really have tho rewind the catch 3 times

  • squidoodotcom forwardslash getlargemouthbass fishing for awesome deals on lures best price and quality on the net no lie

  • it probably took you two years to make this video and try to make it look like your $40 snake catches a bass every 5 minutes. YOU BASTARD. that plug is made to catch fishermen and not fish

  • personally i dont like the advertisement for that snake , they say that it catches the real big ones wich probably is true but what if your fishing in a pond with only 1 and 2 lb bass that arent going to want an 11" snake , or in a river with only smallmouth .. and they also dont advertise that one of those snakes is 40$ wich is complete BULLSHIT. might as well get one at the doller store , tie hooks to it and tie a line threw its head

  • Apparently you don't read well. For $40, you get 18 snakes and 4 hooks, a how-to CD, fishing maps and an e-book. That doesn't add up to much more on a per-snake basis than your dollar store snake and buying hooks to rig it. I'd say your solution is actually the one that is bullshit.

And if one was fishing in a pond that only has small fish, anyone with more than half a brain would use appropriate tackle for that situation.

  • I wants to buy snake in the bass.

  • how do you hook the snake so that I have an idea when mine gets here ?

  • those look real nice in the water

  • your all gay fishing is awesome eat it

  • Wow, where can I get these lures.....lol I cant wait to buy themzzz,

  • they have a comercial for them but i can't remember the number, but it's like $30 or something like that

  • Doug Hannon is a liar. He is the snake in the grass. He claims to have caught 800 bass over 10lbs. What he doesn't tell you is that he is counting bass that clients of his have caught also.

So if you feel good about claiming what others catch as your own you go right ahead big guy. In your world that probably matters. hahaha.

  • Besides Doug Hannon is a liar. He has not caught 800 bass over 10lbs. This punk actually counts the bass that others have caught while fishing in his boat. Doug used to be a guide and actually feels good claiming what others caught on their rods as part of his "800 bass over 10lbs" crap.

Get a life Doug and stop assaulting our intelligence.

  • dude ur gay u always put a title like 15lb 13oz bass and bullshit and i didnt see 1 fish that was 15lb 13oz. FAGGOT!!!

  • Why the bad title? Give me a big berkley kicker frog any day over this lure. No thanks to this lure. For more fishing video visit my you tube page

  • You dont even need these baits man! as far as I'm concerned they are a piece of shit..Go with Strike King Rage Tail!

  • L.A.M.E. I suppose if you added all those bass together you might have a world record. Doug Hannon...what the hell is wrong with you? Oh and by the way...get someone with a vague idea of how to operate a camcorder .

  • Don't bend the fish's jaw out like that, you colossal homo. Fuckin' dipshit hicks. Can't even execute a simple catch and release without shitting on things. Motherfuckers. I handled fish better when I was ten.

  • if there is any lure ima use for topwater thats a soft bait it would be strike king RAGE TAIL!!

  • Where can i get those???

  • can you use these baits up in canada for the bass.. do they work everywhere?

  • i got yo white albino snake in my pants. It aint the bait. White fluke or stick bait would do the same.

  • lolo..this man just wan promote that snake lurer..lolx..where i can get that snake??i live at malaysia..hehhe..dunno how to get that snake..

  • holy shit u cant even get away from infomercials on the internet..this is fagtastic

  • LMAO fagtastic

  • What world is this record pending in? Dreamworld?

  • i got alot of white albinos

  • lindos videos ver pesca.pequeño

  • Wow... You can catch fish on a POS lure in a farm pond that no one fishes.. No one will ever catch anyhting with the POS on a public lake.

  • where can i get those?

  • yea i'm gonna have to go ahead and stick with my hulapoppers and heddon torpedos

  • OH there it is!

  • I think the bass has to be huge to eat that, they'd probably be scared of it and most never seen snakes.

  • Larger baits yield larger fish. I would argue that largemouth bass probably encounter water snakes all the time. Scared of it? I doubt it. Bass are ambush predators. Not much scares them.

  • Your facts are not true, fact is bass know energy expended for energy returuned. They seek the wounded or the distracted like any other predator on earth. If a prey seems healthy and awear no matter the size they will not attack it, period. Its the way nature is designed, survival of the fitest. And on that note Doug is way out of date as far as bass angling, old ideas proven false over and over.

  • My facts, are actually true. Learn to spell "fittest" before using an antiquated term for what is now called "differential reproduction."

Your attempt to be academic missed the point of the question. Bass don't ONLY target wounded prey. Your generalization about energy expended for energy returned can be applied to just about any predator/prey relationship.

Any professional bass angler; larger baits generally yield larger catches.

  • I did not say only wounded prey, I also said distracted, I have a wildlife biology degree and have been fishing for bass for 20 years. Using a miss spelling of a word and a new term for what I said does not make you smart. Fact is I'll call you out right now. I have not fished for three years but I bet if we fished a lake niether of us had ever fished I would kick your ass at the finals.

  • hell yea you motha fucin triton fag get a life. "doug hannon help make them." how ,any of u believe this crap? Does'nt doug hate top water?
