  • Brazil... Where hearts were entertaining June We stood beneath an amber moon And softly murmured someday soon... We kissed... And clung together Then... Tomorrow was another day The morning found me miles away* With still a million things to say Now... When twilight dims the skies above** Recalling thrills of our love There's one thing I'm certain of Return... I will... to old... BRAZIL.

  • @KyrenS64Gotham

Brazil fan? so am i, i enjoyed it since i was 15 back in 96 after seeing the hypnotic trailer to it on the 12 monkeys rental video and i knew i had to rent it, i rented it along with City of Lost Children back in June of that year and both left an impression on me. Did you know this movie with City of Lost Children influenced stuff including video games like Bio-Shock to movies like Sucker-Punch and Inception? Nolan is a fan of this movie including Zack Snyder

  • @Johnlindsey289

That's curious, because both those guys are kinda underwhelming directors.

  • @Jcolinsol

Oh come on, Nolan has gave us the most unique take on Batman yet and Memento. Do you think Terry Gilliams stuff is not for all tastes? would you put this in the same league as Cannibal Holocaust when it comes to a movie that rapes your senses and disturbs you?

  • @Johnlindsey289

Memento wasn't bad, as I recall. What exactly do you find to be unique about his Batman?

I love that you don't bother to defend Snyder! He he, he's such a tool!

  • @Jcolinsol

do you agree Terry Gilliam is not for everyone?

  • @Johnlindsey289

I'f he was the world would be a better place.

  • @Johnlindsey289 Nope I didn't know that ! But, I knew that Nolan was also influenced by Ridley Scott's Blade Runner for Batman Begins. Well, the fact Brazil influenced (or Terry Gilliam should I say) a lot of others directors is not really surprising. This movie was so precursor, it's a shame for anyone to say he didn't like it.

There's still something I don't agree with you, Nolan's Batmans are great but Burton's ones were betters.

  • @Johnlindsey289 Sucker Punch... You say that right! I won't be surprised if Brazil is the reason of why Zack Snyder have put those giant Samurais to fight
