as a singaporean, i think we shouldn't be thinking that things like this will never happen to our country. u wouldn't know, it may happen anytime anywhere suddenly. and also i think the gov have done their part too, u just don't think they would pop out of the drain and drain the water away. of course they'll have to think of the situation and the circumstances before proceeding with the decision.
